On a little sidenote.... my character doesn't have a roommate anymore. Jragonseedz told me that he was probably not going to return to the roleplay. Hmmmm... what to do, what to do....
Edit: Since Illy's character doesn't seem to have a roomie, and neither does mine, maybe it would be good to put them together, seeing as they're the only active male characters. ('Cept for Meta-chan's character, which is thought to be a female.)

Alex woke up slowly, his eyes only half opening as he did so. He looked about the barren room, his eyes coming to rest on an empty bed that belonged to his roommate. So he didn't come back last night? I wonder what's up? Alex thought, as he swung his feet over the side of the bed, throwing his covers off. His hair was tousled, made even more so by his running his fingers through his hair. He stretched , and rubbed his eyes, all the while yawning. He looked to the clock. 6:45. Well, it was earlier than Alex expected himself to be up, but he didn't care. He threw on the other day's clothes, grabbing new garb from his drawer, and a towel. He grabbed the bag that held all his toiletries and headed to the showers.
Upon arriving, he looked around, still half-asleep. he went into one of the booths and stripped himself of his clothes, placing them in a heap on a bench that was in the booth. Turning the water on, he was fully brought to his sneses as a jet of cold water covered his body. "AAAYYYYYIIIEE! That's bloody cold!" Alex let out, racing out from under the water. He immediately found himself wishing that the bathroom was soundproofed from the rest of the dorm rooms. If not, he probably had woken someone up, and that guy would most likely be grumpy. Not good for Alex.
Shaking it off, Alex reached to the temperature control on the shower, setting it to 'hot'. After satisfied with the temperature, he stepped back in the shower, and got to the buisness of cleaning himself. After that was done he dried off and got dressed again. He looked at his image in the mirror, his hair hanging down to around his face, partially framing his face. Well, I'll just let it dry, then I'll style it. Alex thought, as he headed back to his room. He threw his things on his bed, not caring that they were wet, and headed to the cafetorium for breakfast. He grabbed a plate of simple bacon and eggs, sitting down at an empty table. He looked around as he ate, seeing only one other person in the cafetorium... and it was a teacher. Not the chouce person to talk to in the morning. Sighing lightly, Alex went back to eating his breakfast in silence, hoping someone he knew, or someone new would show up for breakfast. He also hoped that if it was someone he hadn't met, that person would be female. Girls were more fun to talk to than most guys.. .at least in this school.

((Imma go with Alex on this, since I don't want this awesome thing to die either. Will edit it if Ari hates on us for this. >_> And if we need boys, I can play one of 'em too. ))
Leigh woke up slowly, stretching arms and legs as she lay under her warm covers. Rolling over to her stomach, she saw that her clock read 7 am. About time she should be waking up. Although she wasn't the least bit a morning person, classes on the first day of school was enough incentive to get up and trudge to her closet. Flipping through the casual clothes she wished she could wear, she selected her uniform, and slipped it on. Selected bits of her jewelry jazzed it up a bit. She loved her jewelry. Lots of it she made herself, but she loved to go to stores and markets and pick up the odd little piece that few others would be in ownership of. Plus, she just loved the colours and occasionally sparkle.
Brushing the kinks out of her hair that it got during the night until it was straight and sleek, she smiled, satisfied that she looked perfect for her first day of the new year at Seiseikatsu. Turning, she encountered her still sleeping roommate. A glance at the clock noted that only 15 mintues had passed, and she had plenty of time still.
Unwilling to disturb her, yet not wanting to feel guilty about Anya missing classes, she made sure the alarm was set for the next 15 minutes, and that it was loud enough that she was sure to hear it. Happy that her conscience wouldn't be harping her now, she left the room, eager for some breakfast.
Entering the cafetorium, she noted that two people occupied the room, other than the cafetorium staff. A teacher in one sunny corner, and a student. A male student. Waking up early seemed to have been a good choice afterall. Grabbing a plate of eggs, extra bacon and toast, she made her way through the organized maze of tables, until she was standing opposite the student, looking down on the shaggy blond hair that was hiding his face from her view.
"Mind if I sit here?"

Alex saw someone come in. That person was female. And a particularly good-looking one at that. Hmm. I guess waking up early has paid off this time. Alex thought, smiling slightly at this thought. He watched her out of his peripheral vision as he ate. His mood lightened as he saw her walk his way. His mood switched to happy as he heard her ask if she could sit with him. He looked up from his breakfast, and smiled lightly. "Sure, go right ahead." he said, motioning to the seat right in front of her. Alex himself was almost finished his breakfast, and was preparing to go back to his room to draw until he needed to go for classes... but now he thought it would be in his best interest to stay.
Alex smiled to her as he studied her face quickly. She has real beauty about her. Makes my heart flutter a bit. Alex thought. I wonder if anything will come of talking to this girl.... and what will happen if we get a relationship atwixt us. I think it might devastate Anya... but then again, we;ve only known each other for a day... and I think I only like her because I was caught up in the bliss of the first day of school, and meeting a good looking girl. Alex thought, as he ate another strip of bacon. After finishing it, he looked back to the new girl that had taken seat beside him. "Alex, and you are?" Alex asked, holding his hand out to her, while his other hand brushed some bangs out of his eye. I really need to style my hair after breakfast.

Her breath caught slightly when his gaze met her own. I love his eyes!They were just a regular hazel eyes, nothing really extraordinary about them, except that slight flash of green she'd just gotten. They were just... beatiful, and it felt like if she let him long enough, he would be able to read every secret in her soul. Her breathing heighted, she took the chair he offered, and sat, trying not to think about it too much.
"Leigh." She introduced simply, reaching across the table to take his offered hand, flushing uncharacterisically when she seemed unable to let go of it for several moments. "Wait, did you say Alex? I think you're the one my roommate was gushing about last night. Well, not exactly gushing, but she mentioned you were 'friends'. How unfortunate and disappointing." She said, looking a little glumly at the handsome boy in front of her. Figures she'd run into him first and he already been taken. Stupid mornings. She bit into her toast, throughly annoyed at waking up now.

Alex nodded lightly, looking to Leigh. "Yes I am Alex." he responded, trying to think of how to respond to what she had told him about Anya. Sighing, he looked down to his plate, before he started speaking. "We are friends. The only reason I think I was so infatuated with her was because it was the bliss of the first day of school, and on that first day I met a good-looking girl, who seemed to like me. So, without using my head I jumped into a relationship with her." He now looked up to Leigh, his eyes meeting hers. What beatiful eyes you have. Alex thought, before continuing on. "After reflecting on the day, well... I have left it to a small decision. If I get the same feeling when I see her next as I did with my ex-girlfriend whenever I saw her, then I will stay in the relationship. If not, then we are only friends. Nothing more." Alex explained, pausing.
He brushed the hair out of the way of his eyes again. "Stupid hair." he mumbled. "Anyways, I'm pretty sure that I will not go further in a relationship with her. So far our relationship has gone way too fast. Faster than the one I had with my ex. My ex whom I loved with all my heart, then she betrayed me, the b***h." Alex took a deep breath and sighed, successfully supressing his emotions for the moment. "Sorry for my incessant rambling. I shouldn't have carried on like that." Alex apologized, smiling faintly. His eyes were the tiniest bit glazed over, as Alex's mind was quickly reviewing his relationsihp with his ex. Snapping out of it and coming back to reality, he looked to Leigh, smiling once again before picking up another piece of bacon, effectively finishing his breakfast.

She raised a sleek eyebrow, surprised upon learning so much about him in the first... her gaze strayed to the clock on the wall... five minutes of sitting down. She tried to squash down the hope she felt when he said that they would probably only be friends. I might have a chance!
"Well, I suppose that's good to know. I think. Possibly not for Anya, poor thing, but I understand what you mean about getting caught up in the whirlwind of things like that. I had a relationship like that once. Naturally, it ended soon, when the intial attraction and flight of feeling waned." She paused to take a bite of her eggs and a piece of bacon, noting that he was finished. He'll probably be leaving soon then...
Her eyebrow raised further, surprised at the mention of his ex. "She sounds pleasant." She commented with a slight touch of sarcasm. "I'm sorry it ended badly though. Betrayal is never pleasant, and it hurts even more when it's done by someone you love." She looked up into his face and saw his smile, unable to stop herself from smiling back. "I hope this new one works out better. Anya doesn't seem like the betrayer sort. She's a sweet girl. I'm sure you'll get that feeling when you see her later." Leigh said, ignoring the sinking feeling in her heart as she said those words.
What is wrong with me? Grinning like a loon over a nice boy I've just meet, and feeling sad he's taken. There are others out there! She let out a small sigh, and resumed eating her eggs, hating when they got cold because they'd been ignored. She was expecting him to take his empty plate and bid her good day any moment now anyways. Yet she really wished he wouldn't.

Alex ignored the comment Leigh gave about his ex, rather, he focused on what she had said about Anya. "I'm..... not too sure." Alex said, his voice low, as he stared blankly at his empty plate. Shaking his head, clearing his mind, he looked up to Leigh. "So... are you new to the school?" he asked, genuine curiosity present in his voice. I haven't seen her around before, and if she isn't new, then shame on me for over-looking her. Alex thought.
I hope she has some classes with me. Alex thought, idly. His hand went to his hair, feeling that it was almost dry. "Good, almost dry." he commented, before looking to Leigh and smiling faintly. I can finally style it once it's dry. Thank God.

Leigh let the Anya thing slide, knowing that it wasn't her business, and it was his own decision in the end. Focusing on the question instead, she answered.
"Nope. I was here last year too. Anya - sorry - said you'd been here last year. Odd that we haven't met before now. This place isn't exactly that large. Maybe we just weren't paying attention before." She ate another strip of bacon, nearly finished now. "I wonder if we'll have classes together this year. I think that would be... fun."
She stared up at his hair, at the strage comment, noticing that it was drier than when she'd sat down. And looked really soft too. It's not polite to touch people randomly. She reminded herself, really wishing she could run her fingers through the light locks like he was. She tightened her grip on her utensils and looked away from the temptation. I think I have a fever. Because this is insane, and that's... an excuse, and you know it, Leigh. Darn her inner voice. She pushed her plate away, deciding she was done.

Alex just brushed off the apology as if it were nothing. Actually, he didn't know why she had apologized in the first place, and he wasn't about to ask. Alex nodded, "Yes, it is quite odd that we've never met before. I think that I should have noticed you... I guess I was paying attention to my surroundings as much this year as I did last." Alex said, fixing his hair once again. He once again nodded at the statement made about the classes. "It would be quite fun to have you in some of my classes." Alex commented, smiling faintly.
Seeing her push her plate away, he assumed she was finished. "Finished, are we?" he said, his voice light, as he looked down to his watch, the few pieces of 'jewelery' that was allowed on school grounds. In fact it was probably the only thing students were allowed to wear on school grounds. Either way, that watch told him they had almost an hour to waste before they had to get to class. "Want to go for a walk out on the grounds? We have about an hour of time to waste before classes start." Alex asked, looking inquisitively to Leigh, while pushing himself away from the table, and standing. He picked up his empty plate and held his free hand out as a notion to take Leigh's as well.

Leigh flushed at the slight compliment hidden in his words. "I hope we do. They would definitly be less boring that way."
She nodded, moving to get up and take her plate, when she noticed that he already had his hand out for it. "Yeah, I think I am. Thanks." She let him take the plate, and pushed back her chair before standing. A glance at her watch confirmed that he was right. She considered his offer, knowing that there certainly wasn't anything else she wanted to or needed to do.
"Sure. Sounds like a good waste of time." She smiled lightly, glad that he wasn't up and abandoning her for the next hour while everyone was getting up and going to breakfast.

"Same-old-same-old for this school...no change...no...anything. Principal's still the same, as well as those strict rules that they try to enforce. I swears it's like their lives depended on it," came a sentinel sillhoulette from the roof, made invisible from where the sun rose, and looking upon the grounds. The blossoming trees seemed to indicate a longer-lasting spring. The whole scene of the grounds looked beyond what mere words could describe. "I swear that this year will be different for me, and I shall let nothing, not even these Hellish school rules stop me, from achieving my goal!" Striking a pose with one fist raised high in the air, scarf swaying slightly in the higher-altitude winds, he seemed more like the figure of a lone hero rather than a plain shadow. Bringing his balled fist back down to eye level, he made a silent oath to himself to become the catalyst this year and turn what everyone knew about this school, or rather, rumored, to the truth. By force would be folley for him to try, though, so first he'd have to figure out exactly why these rules are the ways they were. "Why didn't I...stupid...baka..." he named himself aloud, realizing that he had no prior information about why this school was the way it was. "And here I was talking myself up to this...Seems like I may have to take longer than I thought."
Beginning to walk back into the school from the rooftop entrance, the shadow from before began to take on a form as it moved itself from the sun's rays. Within the shading of the wall, he stood a charming fellow of seemingly the 19 to 20's in age, and from a richer class as well. He tried as he could to keep his hair groomed and clothes crisp, wich turned out nicer than he could've hoped. The clothes that he did wear were odd for this part of the country; perhaps coming from desert origin. The red scarf that he wore was not very warmint, but rather just an accessory for him to wear. Velvanir did prize that scarf though, believing that his father gave it to him before he died, and the rest of his outfit seemed to be but a blue vest, white undershirt, and a pair of cloth navy-blue pants. The shoes that he wore were simple cow-leater and a mohogany in color. "I'll give it some time," he said as he moved towards the cafeteria. He knew that he'd have to run into some people, though they won't see him for too long. He'd just do what he usually did and bring the breakfast in a bag to his dorm room, since he lived alone there. "Gotta stop talking to myself so loudly..." he thought to himself as he neared the door.
