He looked to her as she asked the question about this school. Some of what his dad was a blur sometimes, as James's mind was 95% of the time somewhere else. Though where, even he didn't know. He tilted his head to the side, tapping his temples in thought. "Uhh, yeah! Hogwarties.. or, Hogwarts." His father had always corrected him when he said it. He decided that it would be safe to tell Moni about it, seeing as it seemed like she knew about the same school. He didn't think it was that well-known, so maybe she was going there too! "Do you know about it? I'm kind of excited, but kind of nervous at the same time." Even if he was nervous, he still had time to get his nerves together. It would be three more years before he had to go, anyway. Five for Caden.
"My dad said I'd be going to it after a spoon moved across the table without me touching it. Caden broke a glass. I dunno what that means about us, but it must be pretty cool for the both of us to go to a special school because of it. Or it could be really bad."

Monika guessed correctly, as James confirmed that he was going to Hogwarts. She hadn't met another child like her before, one with magic. It was pretty exciting, actually. She grinned, nodding when he asked if she knew of the school. "I'm gonna go there too. It's because we have--" She paused, looked around, then whispered, "--magic." She always loved the idea behind magic. It was just like one of her books, except different because it was real.
So, that meant they would be in the same grade, right? At least she'd have one person she knew when the time came for her to go to Hogwarts. James explained how him and his brother did magic for the first time. Monika thought about her first experience with it. "I got a book off the shelf without getting up once. It was pretty cool," she explained, still smiling. This was really exciting for her, meeting someone else with magic.

James stopped swinging once she brought up what something called magic. He knew what it was, people like Merlin used it. Of course Merlin was only a character in a story, and the only magic he'd ever seen was those magicians on TV who his dad always said were fake. He wasn't sure what constituted "real" magic, but he guessed that he'd be finding out in three years. "My dad says that we'll learn to do cooler things at Hogwarts, like changing chairs into cats and lifting things up with a wand-stick-thingy. There's even a game where you fly around on brooms and throw balls through hoops!" He was really excited that he could actually talk to someone about this that wasn't his father or brother. He wondered if she was just as excited.

Monika smiled at the thought of turning chairs into cats. She liked cats, but she was thinking about asking her dad for an owl when it came time for her to go to Hogwarts. One of those pretty white ones, she thought. Maybe he would get her one for her birthday or something. That would be pretty cool. "My dad is a professor at Hogwarts. He teaches about Muggles, which is really cool," she said. She had heard of the game he mentioned, too. Although, she didn't think she would ever play it. She had never been one for sports. "Are you going to play that game, when we get to Hogwarts?" she asked, curiously.

James tilted his head to the side once she brought up her dad and "muggles." He had heard his own dad say that word, but well, never knew what it actually was. Now that he knew what he was, though, it wasn't hard to guess. "Muggles? Is that what they call non-magical people?" If so, he wondered if her dad was like one of those history teachers at the public school he went to. Dad said there was a class called 'History of Magic' too. Two history classes! There must have been a lot of old people at Hogwarts.
He honestly couldn't say whether he wanted to play the game or not. His dad always warned him against it, as it was played very high up in the air and there was always the possibility of falling off your broom and breaking your neck. James wasn't a big fan of heights, not at all. "I dunno. It seems kind of scary, though I guess flying around on a broom would be fun." He'd definitely have to think about it. "What about you?"

Monika giggled to herself. James seemed confused by the term 'Muggle." It wasn't surprising, really. She didn't imagine it being a common household name. "Yeah, a Muggle is someone without magic. They don't know about Hogwarts or any of that stuff," she explained. "My mom was a Muggle..." Moni didn't like to think about her mother too often. She never really knew her, but still. It was a sad thing to think about, so she usually tried to avoid it.
James asked if she would play the game when she went to Hogwarts. She started shaking her head. "Oh, no no no. It's too dangerous for me. Plus, I'm not very athletic. I would watch though, if I had friends on the team," she replied. If James was to make the team, even if it was years into the future, she would cheer him on. Well, 'cheer' in the way of sitting quietly and waving a small flag or something.

As Moni informed him that muggles didn't know anything about magic, he finally realized why his dad always told him not to tell anyone about their family, which of course he had broken that rule with Moni, but she was just like him so he thought that was kind of a loophole. When she mentioned that her mom was a Muggle, he frowned slightly. Was? Did that mean she wasn't around anymore, just like his mom? Whatever it was, he didn't want to ask. It seemed like it could have been a sensitive topic for her, and he had always been told to avoid those. "I don't think mine was. 'Course, I don't remember too much of her. Just a few memories here and there."
It was only just recently that he had actually found out what happened. His dad had always told him she went on a business trip, and of course James had been too young to question that. But now, he was apparently old enough to find out that she actually had died in a car crash. The weird thing was, James didn't cry. Maybe in the back of his mind, he already knew that, but just hadn't connected the dots until now. Whatever it was, he wasn't going to bring himself down about it right now.
He changed the tone of the conversation completely and grinned brightly, starting to swing back and forth again. "So you'd watch me if I was playin' it?" He wondered how big the crowds got during those school games. Pretty big, if he remembered correctly. But not as big as those international games.

Dylan took a seat at a bench and stretched his legs out, his heart beating fast but not nearly as fast as it had when he had first asked Emily out. It wasn't like she was a stranger--far from it, she was now his girlfriend and he was now her boyfriend. After the whole ordeal at Hogsmeade, he made sure to write to Emily, making sure she was alright. And now they were meeting up again.
It had already seemed like a while since he had seen her, so he was excited to see someone that wasn't his mom or dad. They had agreed to meet up here, and he looked around at everyone having a grand time old time. He assumed most of them were Muggles who had no knowledge of the Death Eater attacks. Speaking of the attacks, he still felt a bit paranoid, even if he had no reason to be. He managed to loosen up a bit as he waited.

But Emily was fifteen now! She could wear cute stuff like this! Right? Well that's what she told herself and her mom when questioned. She walked by herself to the park, where she was meeting her boyfriend. She giggled at the thought. They had made plans to meet up over the summer. And since they hadn't gotten to ride the train together, well... That in general was an awful time. But she didn't get too hurt. Just a gasp across her side. But it was mostly healed now. She got off lightly when compared to the others. She sighed at the thought of those who died. She heard her classmate's twin was killed. Vanessa.... Something. She never really talked to the two. But she had heard Kaitlyn freaking out at the station. And heard from her parents that the girl's twin had died saving her. Along with several other students... She was very thankful that she nor Dylan or JoJo got killed. She knew that one of the chasers on Gryffindor team lost her boyfriend. Who happened to be the seeker... She put her hand through her hair as she neared the park.
She saw Dylan and snuck up behind him. Ready to cover his eyes. "Guess who." She asked when she had. She smiled as she waited for his guess. ╚═════════════════════╝ ═════════════════════════ I'm looking rather cute in my Summer clothes
And it feels good to be with people like Dylan <3
Although my mind keeps wandering to Yay! Summer time that I can spend with Dylan! ═══════════════════════════

Dylan smiled brightly as his eyes were covered by a pair of hands and a familiar voice followed, who he only assumed to be Emily. "I'm gonna take a wild guess and say.. Emily?" He slid his fingers up and wrapped them around her wrists, pulling her hands away from his eyes and turning around so he was facing her. It felt really good to see her face again.
He leaned forward, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her into a tight embrace before planting a small kiss on the side of her cheek. "I'm glad you're okay," he said softly before releasing his hold on her. He backed up a bit, tilting his head to the side. "So, um, how have you been?"

She was already teetering but when he kissed her cheek she blushed brightly and lost the little bit of balance she had and fell on/next to him. She winced as she pulled herself over the bench and looked over at him now that she was on the bench with him. Whether on purpose or not. She blushed a little since.. Well she had fallen. On him... She chuckled though, at how silly she was being. They were dating now. Boy friend and Girl Friend. What did she have to be nervous over? Oh... Well... Everything. When he said he was glad she was okay she smiled. "Of course I'm okay. I'm a tough Hufflepuff you know. Bludgers aren't very nice!" She said chuckling. She was mostly healed so she didn't even bring that up. "What about you? You didn't ever tell me that you hadn't gotten hurt." She said looking at him with an 'annoyed' look in her eyes. "You know what that means right? I have to find out the hard way." She said pretending she was going to tickle him.
"I'm doing alright. Mum didn't like my choice in clothes. But she let me out of the house anyway." She said chuckling. "What about you? I still haven't met your family yet. You've met mine. Dylan's cheeks reddened as he realized he was pulling her over the bench, but was relieved to see that it didn't seem to be that big of a deal. He couldn't help but smile when she brought up a comment about bludgers. He personally thought there was a big difference between bludgers and dark wizards, but he kept that particular thought to himself. "That is true," he decided to say instead. He patted his side lightly, where the brunt of the damage he had taken was. That wasn't to say he had taken much. "I'm fine. Just a few bruises. No reason to find out the hard way," he said, backing away just a bit at the last moment but returning to his original position once the threat of her tickling him passed.
He couldn't help but slightly chuckle at her next words, even if he couldn't exactly relate to them. "I think you look fine. But I'm doing alright too. I, uh.. Told my parents we were dating, and it was a real hassle to get them off my back about it, but here I am. You'd definitely be bombarded with questions if you met them."

Of course, during the whole thing she had been frightened out of her mind. She closed her eyes for a moment as she sat there, leaning on him. When his words about his parents hassling him got to her ears. "Was it a... Happy kind of hassle? Or were they shocked you have a girlfriend? Or?" She asked curiously. Looking up at him. Worried that maybe his parents didn't like the idea of him having a wizard girlfriend... Or a girlfriend at all! Oh what if they didn't approve? She wasn't sure she could handle if they weren't happy. Her parents were pretty thrilled that she had finally gotten over her nerves with him. Dylan wrapped his arm around her once her head was rested on his chest, supposing that this was what he was supposed to do. Boyfriends were supposed to do this, right? He honestly didn't have much experience in it, but he supposed her body language would help guide him, at least a little bit. He shrugged his shoulders slightly when Emily asked him what kind of hassling his parents had exactly given him.
"Uh.. Not sure. I think it was happy. I mean, they don't really have a reason to not want me to have a girlfriend, or at least I don't think they do. Yeah, it was definitely happy." He felt that it would be a bit awkward if his parents disapproved. It might have even pissed him off a bit, and he wasn't exactly one to let his anger get the best of him.
He slightly adjusted himself, looking around to see an ice cream stand placed along the side-walk. "Want some ice cream?"

"Oooo, that sounds like a great idea! Let's go!" She said jumping up to head to the ice cream stand. She held her hand out for Dylan to take, so they could walk over hand in hand.
