Denbe had only one bit of business to attend to before he was going to head to the gate then, bowing to the general before backing out of the room and heading off at a brisk pace.
He was going to see if he could quickly spot the Kitsuki he'd promised a story, head to eat, and, finally, eat. He'd have to explain that any more than a quick single story would have to come at a later date.

Kojiro would politely excuse himself from the general and go about insuring that the Jade Wardens had an adequate supply of rice (He estimated two week's worth) to let them search and then head back to the castle. He also set about getting a tanto for himself.

Kitsuki Masuyo is nowhere to be found, and no one answers at her quarters.

And so, with some mild disappointment, Denbe would go to eat before they departed.

Kagae would retrieve his greaves and have a quick bath. If he had time he would also clean his armour.

With the meeting with the general adjourned, let's view everyone's activities:
Kaiu Kagae Get greaves Bathe quickly Clean armor Estimated time: ~40 minutes
Bayushi Kojiro Get travel rations for everyone Get tanto Estimated time: ~ 50 minutes, after he realizes he was initially sent to go through Yasuki Namiyo and tries to find someone else
Shosuro Miyako Get food lightly + Tea Do inventory + Pack Estimated time: ~ 20 minutes
Ujina Denbe Look for Kitsuki Masuyo Get food Estimated time: ~ 30 minutes
Everyone can be at the western gate with little difficulty. Though, Kojiro, those traveling rations aren't free, due to the quantity.
1 meal a day for 2 weeks = 14 meals, for 4 wardens = 56 meals' worth minimum. 5 zeni a pop, 280 zeni = 28 bu = 5 koku 3 bu.
They'd give you the supplies you need for 3 koku, but a commerce roll might be able to get the price down more. 1 koku for the tanto, and another roll might apply there too. You aren't QUITE yet at the level where higher ranking samurai just give you what you need yet.

Kojiro frowned as he was quite bluntly informed of the cost of the rice he requested ....and more to the point that he would have to pay for it. This would also rule out the ashigaru armor he had planned on asking for Miya-chan and the No Dachi that Denbe had seemed to be interested in.
Still, Kojiro would call for a servant. He would try to obtain a tanto here at least. Something would tell him not to bicker about the price of a useful little blade, but his latent Yasuki sense wanted to try anyways.

They are willing to shave off a bu for the rations, 2 bu if you want the tanto as well. The merchant patron you speak with explains rather calmly that they can't go any lower than that, until the next shipment arrives tomorrow evening.
Deal or no deal, Kojiro?

Kojiro grimaced. He had all of two day's worth of rations with him and he did not know how long they would be out there, trying to find Asako-sama. It seemed like it might take a week to get there and a week to get back. The Scorpion knew he could augment his rations with judicious foraging, and he suspected the same of Denbe. However, Miyako and Kagae were another matter.
Kagae might not have the look of a decent hunter, but he could surprise. He also might be practical enough to eat the fruits of the land. Miya-chan might be a little bit too proper for that, and Kojiro did not know Asako-sama's situation. It might be good to have additional food on hand for him. However, as far as Kojiro saw it, perhaps the others should deal with their own rations. He would warn them as they left, but Kojiro probably should only assume that he should see to his own and Miya-chan's needs.
Kojiro would turn to the servant that was helping him and state, "Would you please see how much they want for two week's worth of rice for two people?"

The merchant patron, with your commerce roll from before, will let you go with 28 days worth of rations (2 people for 14 days) for 1 koku 2 bu. No tanto included.
Namiyo TRIED to give you a tanto earlier, Kojiro, but you were too snoody to accept it. mad

Kojiro would politely make the exchange, properly aided by the servant of course and went off to meet with his fellow Jade Wardens.
"I've seen to Shosuro-san and my rations for the journey. It seems like it may take two weeks to get there and back. Are you all ready?"

"I am prepared," Denbe said with a nod, all his things, what few they were, gathered. The dragon going missing had been a shame, but it was gone from his mind by now. Business was at hand.
On a related note, Miyako seemed ready to go too, as she had been.

As kagae approached the gate he noticed not everyone was there. He used this time to gather "supplies." (Winks at rain knowingly/will tell him if he can't guess despite it being one of his ideas.)

((At this point, I'll assume Miyako is set to go...))
Soon, the Jade Wardens would gather at the western gate, just less than an hour after their meeting with the general.
Though, they would not be the only ones there. Three men in cloaks and ashigaru armor would be there, discussing something amongst themselves. Each man carried a bow and quiver of arrows as well, indicating that they weren't your normal Hida Bushi.
Seeing the Wardens gather, they would cease their conversation and approach the group of you. The one in the lead, a heavily scarred young man in his early twenties, would bow to the group of you. "You must be the ones Rikugunshokan Hideaki told us we were to escort into Yugure Yama. I am Hiruma Doi, and this is Hiruma Yakumo and Hiruma Kenichi." The former of the two being introduced was a tall, and seemingly impossibly thin man about 10 years older than all of you, his frame giving an illusion of being withered; the latter of the two was a smaller rounder man of no exceptional build or appearance, but his gaze was diverted as if looking or listening for something, and he seemed to be playing with a leaf in his right hand, dropping it and catching it immediately every couple seconds.
"If you are ready, we can leave immediately."

Hopefully there wasn't some little thing that they had forgotten about....
