It took a few minutes for his words to sink in, but she stayed quiet as she turned it all over in her head. She was torn. She wanted to be angry at him and cry, but she knew that would only push them apart, and they were already far enough that it hurt her. She tried to keep herself from crying, but the tears just wouldn't stop. She turned away and got up before saying, "Alright, but I need some time to get used to this. It's her or me, you know, and I don't think she'll be willing to share any more than I am." She walked to her room and closed the door. Her insides were a knot and she couldn't stop the tears from coming out. So she cried into her pillow. She let the emotions out in those tears, hating herself for feeling so much at the same time. She wanted to be free of the emotional roller coaster she had been through. So much had happened in the span of only a few days, and she was still trying to adjust to being a girl.

((Let's try him dating Alice for a while. She'll be so pissed about it, but I think she'll be able to get over it eventually. She can be really mean and nasty when she wants to. twisted ))
After a good cry, Aya felt a lot better. She got up and heard Selim arguing with someone in his room and figured he was probably talking on the phone. She went to the kitchen and started on dinner. She had planned some spaghetti with a meat sauce and a salad on the side. She hummed a song as she cooked, feeling very positive right now.

Aya looked over at Selim and frowned when she saw his face. "What's wrong? Who were you fighting with?" Aya suddenly got a bad feeling that something was going to change soon, and that it wouldn't be a good thing.

She just stood there as he proceeded to tear her world apart with every word he spoke. It felt like the only support that was keeping her intact... had simply disappeared. She just stood there staring at where he had been. Even after he had left, she just stood there, as if in a daze. By the time she finally started moving again, the food was cold and it was normally time for bed. She sat down and ate, then cleaned up and went to sleep. Everything she did was automatic, as if she had done it so many times, that it became an unconscious action, a mechanical action. She slept late the next day, and she never got out of bed except to fulfill bodily needs. Tears flowed from her eyes the entire time as she played that moment over and over again in her mind.

The sounds of Selim coming in and out barely registered in her mind. She was too broken to sense or react to anything. She simply cried and cried. She cried the entire day, never leaving her room, her dorm. She felt lost. Adrift in a sea that seemed like it would never end. And it constantly sought to pull her under and drown her. She spent the whole day in complete depression.

The days went by similarly. Aya kept to her dorm, never in class. And Selim now with Alice. Aya didn't starve herself, she was too smart for that, but she never left her dorm. However, the next Monday, she finally left her room. It was lunch time though, and she wasn't going to class. She headed for the roof. She saw a few people out on the front lawn as she leaned against the railing. When some of them had noted her presence, she climbed over the railing, standing on the very edge of the roof. She looked down, seeing the drop and giving herself up to the decision. She was going to jump if no one bothered to stop her.

"Why? So you can lure me in again and tear my heart to pieces again?" She said as tears streamed down her face and she took another step away, now barely on the roof at all. "Why would you care, anyway? Huh? Don't you already have HER? She said, pointing to Alice, who had followed Selim up.
