Gage shook his head and started eating, leaving it alone for now... The mood had gone from great to horrid just because of Holly-Anne.... He sighed, thinking to himself Great, she got just what she wanted... She ruined my breakfast with Stella....

Stella continued to eat in silence. When she was done she stood up and walked around to sit next to Gage. She laid her head on his shoulder and looked up at him. "I'm sorry." She kissed his jaw line and smiled. She was hoping she would be able to move in with him soon. Maybe all this awkwardness would pass.

Gage looked down at Stella and sighed "I know you are... But you've just got to realize, I've got a past, just like you... Things like Holly-Anne are rare though... Most of my exes don't even talk to me anymore..."

Stella pressed her finger tips to Gage's lips. "I don't wanna talk about it. I understand. It's nothing new. But.. There something bigger I have to tell you... I forgot to mention it in days prior." She cast her eyes down and wrung her hands. She was afraid to tell him, afraid how he was going to react. She had gotten accepted to her dream college across the country. Syracuse in New York... She had accepted just before things had blossomed between her and Gage.. But she had to tell him now...

Gage's stomach dropped as she spoke, he wasn't quite sure he wanted to know, given her reaction as he watched her wring her hands.... With a deep breath, he looked over at her "Just tell me Stella..."

Stella took Gage's hands and looked at him. Her eyes giving away that it wasn't something either of them would be looking forward to. 'I got accepted to Syracuse.. In New York... It happened before things between us did.. I should of told you sooner. Before things got to serious..." As much as she wanted to look away she forced herself to hold his gaze.

Gage didn't think his stomach could get any worse, but here he was, sitting in a diner, in California, with the girl he loved telling him she was wanting to go to college in New York.... He bit down on his bottom lip before he looked up at her and responded "It's alright Stell... I'm not gonna keep you from going to follow a dream.... Maybe I can transfer up there with work, get a place nearby, then you don't have to deal with a dorm, and we don't have to try to play the long-distance thing..."

Stella looked at Gage, she could tell that he was trying to be strong... But inside it was tearing him apart. She kissed him softly and passionately before pulling back slowly. "I'm really sorry.. I love you.. I really do... I should have told you sooner.. But I was afraid things between us would never happen if I did..." She could only hope that his job would transfer him. She desperately wanted to go to college but she couldn't stand being away from him.

Gage stood, pulling Stella with him and hugged her to his side as he payed the bill and went outside "Relax Stell, there's no reason to throw yourself into a panic until we know whether or not they'll transfer me... I imagine they will, considering how long I've been there... And even if they won't, I've got enough in savings to last quite awhile..."

Stella walked outside and looked up at the sky before back to Gage. "I overreact at everything. I'm sorry.." She didn't hesitate before getting into the car, pulling on her seat belt and leaning back. They better transfer him.. Or I'm going to march in there and teach them a lesson... Her eyebrows pulled together in a scowl and she crossed her arms over her chest. Looking over as Gage got in the car.

Gage sighed and pulled out his phone once he was settled in his seat... The conversation he held was short and he chuckled as he got off the phone "Alright, relax and enjoy the day, Horatio is going to call up to one of the stores, and see if they want me..."

Gage chuckled as he looked over at Stella "Of course the offer still stands Stell, you going off to college kind of makes me want it more... It means more time before we have to move and such.... And if you pack right, you won't have to do so again to leave for college.."
