"You need to dump your little girlfriend Ed, she's interferring with your work." He peaked up, tilting his head and looking Edward in the eye. For Mustang he saw this as a truth, an absolute must.
"If you're worrying over her to the point where you get sick then you need to cut your ties." He paused, but just for a second, trying to let Ed absorb the words skin deep before he was going to kick him out and let him think about it more on his own. Mustang leaned back in his chair, both hands on his side arm rests. "You're to cut her loose, Alphonse is one thing but she's another. You're starting to create relationships where you'd be better off without them." He cleared his throat again, nodding toward the door. "Let me know when she's gone and when you've come back to the real world, you still have a job to do."
Kari scrubbed herself from head to toe, even though she was done she stood in the stall; letting the water wash over her before she peeked over at Michael who had dragged a chair and sat down, starring out the floor. "How long have you been working for the military?" He jumped his attention focusing on her as his face was still red from steam and embarrassement, "T-This is my second year." Kari looked at him, actually looking before she got back on the bottom of her feet - no longer standing on her tippy-toes - and turned the shower off, then looking back at him while she let everything air dry. "Mustang told you to watch me?" Michael cleared his throat, coughing a bit but he gave a nod.
She opened the door, upon which Michael quickly stood up, covering his eyes and moving backwards; making his chair knock over. Kari puffed air out of her cheeks, glad he was so shy but he did have a tendancy to overreact. She dug through her backpack, pulling out another dress and putting it on before she ran her fingers through her damp hair. She lifted one hand up with her old dress, putting it in the air. "Hey, do you think you could clean this?"

♣♥♦E D W A R D|v a n|E L R I C ♦♥♣ "I don't work well with breaks!" Ed kept quiet as Mustang spoke knowing every word to be true. She was a danger to his life and she was interfering with his work. What put him on the edge though was pointing his brother out to him as something that wasn't needed. He growled and his whole body tightened up with frustration but he kept his mouth shut as he was hammered back in line. He got up without a word or even looking at Mustang fearful he would snap again. He pushed out the door silently past Hawkeye and back down to his room. He ignored the guard, he ignored Al, everything was fuzzy inside his rage. He was pissed off and that was all he could see right now. "I'll be back," he finally said and left the room again with his gloves on and red coat being pulled on as he left the room leaving Al alone once more. He stalked back down the steps and out of the military building and walked off on his own with his pocket watch in tow noticing the rain that formed over head and started falling onto his body before it poured completely soaking him head to toe. Still, he didn't care, it was relaxing slightly and that was what he needed right now. When he was clear on the other side of town, he perched himself on the edge of a building and sat there with one knee up to his chest while the other dangled over the edge and his arms crossed resting on one. Lightning flashed and thunder roared shaking the building he was sitting on slightly, but he himself didn't flinch. He just sat there thinking letting the tears run down his face camouflaged in the rain. ▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ -- -- -- --

"Um, she has some things that need to be washed. Kari nodded, looking around before turning back around. "Yeah, so where's the laundry room in this place?" Daniel sighed, one arm crossing his chest while the other had stuck two fingers on the bridge of his nose. "This isn't a hotel, there's no laundry room here." He closed his eyes, peeking one open to look at her reaction - which was just scuffy. "Well you do have rooms here," her arms laid on her waist in fists, her chest huffy just like her cheeks while she tried to keep her 'power'. "Yes, they're here for militia men who have to stay over night at times. This isn't a day-care center," He stood up straight, his fists also at the side of his hips. "We'll have to go to the laundry mat in town."
Kari frowned, knowing that they were going to drag her with them; her babysitters. She stuck her head through the doorway, leaning in while her hair fell forward - no longer damp. "Alphonse, do you want to come?"

The rain came down in sheets, harder than it had been when they were in the Riverie. "It's raining..."
Michael, Daniel and Kari stood there, a bit shocked at how the weather had took a turn for the worse when it was hot just earlier today. Michael lifted one hand, scratching the back of his hand while he was still in shock. "Oh wow, well you know what they say; warm weather means rain weather." Kari put her hands together, Daniel looking at her before sighing and looking at the rain that pounded on the pavement. "I'll go get some umbrella's," He turned, jogging off while his shoes scuffed against the newly cleaned floor.
Daniel had grabbed three umbrellas, giving one to Michael, himself and Alphonse; not knowing that Alphonse didn't really need it. Kari didn't feel the need to mention this to him, instead she lumped herself with Michael, his body stiff as a nail as he led her through the streets. Even the umbrella's didn't shield them too well, the rain came down so hard that it seemed to just bounce all over; umbrellas seemingly uneffective.
"There it is," Kari perked up at Michael's shy voice, which seemed squeaky with some sort of uneasy air. Kari crossed from his path to Daniels, lumping herself with him as she looked over to the laundry mat. "Oh, there." She pointed, even though it was in visible sight, making Daniel push her hand back down. Once they were inside they put down their umbrella's, Daniel taking all of them and shaking them of their water.
Michael took the lead and started doing Kari's laundry, which made her sit on the sidelines and think about the rain some more. It came down so hard, which made her think about Scar; who was stuck in the rain. Even though he was probably underground the rain made everything cold, and under the terrrain was already cold and damp - the rain only making it worse.
"H-Hey, I'll be right back ok?" She stood up, taking an umbrella from Daniel while he raised an eyebrow, grabbing her arm and pushing her back to the side. "Not without us, don't worry the laundry will finish in a bit." She scowled at his forcefulness but took a seat once again, looking out the window and thinking of Scar. There was no way she could go look for him right now; she'd just have to sneak away later.

♣♥♦E D W A R D|v a n|E L R I C ♦♥♣ "I don't work well with breaks!" Al fallowed after without a word using the umbrella even if it wasn't needed really, but he didn't want to get Kari even more wet then she already was. He let out a depressed sigh looking around the city as he walked looking for his brother. It wasn't healthy for him to be out there alone with Scar around and in the pouring rain no doubt going to make him sicker. He sighed again and walked into the mat whipping the water off his metal body like someone would a car. He sat down on the floor against their drier keeping his eyes to the ground. He perked up though when Kari mentioned she wanted to go somewhere. "Don't worry, I'll go with her," he said reassuringly hoping they could both get out of here at least temporarily.
Ed continued to sit along upon his perch no longer shivering in the rain. He was completely soaked. There was no point in wearing his hood any more, but he didn't care as it sunk around his face where his tears had dried up a while ago. So, he just sat there not watching anything or focusing on anything external of his mind. Despite his depressed looks, he was still filled with a burning rage and frustration. He couldn't figure out what to do and this angered him more. His eyes narrowed and he snarled as his body tightened up becoming even madder. Ed's rage seemed to find no end the longer he sat up there trying to figure things out. ▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ -- -- -- --

Watching him wash her clothes, take them out and put them in the dryer was much like listening to him talk. Michael did it slowly, calmly and nicely; it didn't matter that they weren't his clothes, he still took care of them.
Kari sat in her chair against the wall, the ugly gray plastic wasn't that comfortable but she didn't need to be. Her head was held in her hands, elbows on her knee's while she slouched significantly; her feelings in a stupor. All she could think about was Scar, should she get him something? What did she have to give, she didn't even have money to buy anything for him.
Her eyelashes flicked up, looking at Al who was sitting near Michael, watching the machine's do their work. "It's my head that's on the line, not yours." That was all that Daniel said, but Kari knew the conversation was long dead. Even though she sat straight she watched him, his stance was calm yet alert. Body leaned against the glass wall near the door, while the umbrellas laid in clumps by his feet. "Ah, it's raining too hard out there anyways. Do you have anymore clothes, you better tell me now rather than later."
Michael had stood faicing the washing machine still, his fists on his hips while he had turned his upper torso around and looked at her; head tilted back just a bit to get a better view on Kari's face. She shook her head, nothing she had left was needed. So far he had cleaned her out, searching through her backpack - boldly - and taking out all her clothes in general to wash. He turned back around, letting the matter settle by itself.
Kari tapped her foot impatiently, her brain still wired on Scar and his possible needs. She looked over at Daniel, and then at Michael. The distance between the two was a bit wide, and Michael wouldn't attack her probably - since he was too sweet and shy - but Daniel would take the chance. Kari leaned to the side, reaching out and grabbing Daniels wrist, making him raise his eyebrow as she tightened her grip. "What is it?"
With her arm still latched onto his she stood up, "Oh nothing, I just needed help to get up." He ignored her feeble touch after that, turning his head from her back to Michael while he watched the washing machine show. But Kari didn't let go, she bent down, lifting up an umbrella and standing back up; this made Daniel quirk up his eyebrow, but he ignored that as well.
"Hi. Yah." "What?"
Daniel turned his head toward her, seeing that Kari had flipped his arm over her shoulder - pressing her back against his chest. "W-What are you doing?" Daniel's face scrumpled together, becomming uncomfortable at the close proximity of their touching bodies. But this was something Kari was used to, tricking, fighting. In one swift motion she bent down, pulling his arm over her shoulder more as she flipped him; making him smack onto his back. With the umbrella in her hand she thumped him in the chest and stomach, making him groan and wince just a bit.
The truth is she didn't hurt him too much, even that he knew, she just left him on the floor for a bit; which she took as her chance to hop out the door.
Kari opened the umbrella too slowly, taking her free second to run out as fast as she could, so being halfway out in the rain she was already more than damp; but she opened up her umbrella anyways. She headed back to the place where she saw him last, by the time she got there she was panting while her lungs tried to take in as much air as they could.
"S-Scar?" Kari dropped her umbrella outside in the alley, going down the little chaute of the alleyway where she had seen him last. Her footsteps were the only sounds she heard, not even seeing Scar's dimly-lit fire that she had smelt last time. Kari stopped midway, not seeing him at all made no point in going in any further. With a sigh and a scratch to the back of her head, she retreated. Deciding that the only thing left to do was to go back and try to apologize to Daniel for her over the top behavior.
She made it out of the alley way, picking up the umbrella and leaving it open at her side, looking out of the small enclosed space back in the direction of the laundry mat. Kari sighed, moving her feet forward but stopping quickly as she heard a big noise; a boom. Her head turned, seeing that something in the opposite direction had exploded. Immediantly her face picked up, with happiness and worry all in one expression. No doubt that was where Scar was, but what was he doing trying to blow things up? Did he want to get caught? Or did he meet another state alchemist?
Her stomach crumbled within itself at the thought of the military finally catching Scar, with the biggest sigh she turned into the opposite direction; running toward the smoke filled area.

♣♥♦E D W A R D|v a n|E L R I C ♦♥♣ "I don't work well with breaks!" Al stood there to stunned to move for the first few seconds, but then he ran to Daniel's side to help him up onto his feet. "You okay? She hit you pretty good," he said kindly before he helped him up onto his feet with his huge hands.
Ed panted crouching on the ground before he ripped off his red coat that had been torn apart by their fighting. He winced though as it pulled off his arm where it was richly covered in red from a deep gash going from his shoulder to the other side of his elbow. He looked up at Scar with an angry look on his face. This is what could happen when you leave on your own, he thought to himself angrily. He picked himself back up, but he fell back with panic on his face as Scar's hand leaped forward at his. Without thinking much, he clapped his hands and put on against his. Alchemy against alchemy. A huge explosion sounded as the air particles around them exploded and created a huge blast from them counteracting each other's destruction keeping them both safe. Both of them retreated slightly holding their arms from their hands being torn apart slightly from the force. That didn't last long though, they charged each other with an angry look on each of their faces ready to take another bite out of the other. ▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ -- -- -- --

Kari made quick turns around the corner, not going around them slowly but letting her feet slide through the puddles so she could keep moving.
She stopped for a moment, breathing hard while she searched the area; unsure of where to go next. Another few explosions led the way, her feet moving again to follow the bright light that was atop a building. Kari swallowed, scaling the side's balcony-like stairs. When she finally reached the top, she bent down and tried to breath in clearly. The rain didn't help much, coming down in hard sheets and falling on her eyelashes - blurring her vision.
She stood up, walking a little bit more at the top of the roof, turning around the entrance to the roof and finally seeing all the commotion. With her breath still tampered she lightly jogged over, covering her eyes with her arms as she shielded them from another explosion. "S-Scar stop!" Kari thrust her hand down, forming a fist as she watched Scar actually stop, turning around just a little while he held onto his arm which was bleeding. But once again he didn't care too much for her presence, turning around to face Edward as he lightly jogged forward, going from a slow run to a full on sprint; preparing for another attack. "Stop!" Her eyebrows pulled up in panic, not sure what to do but run toward the two of him herself. Kari didn't get to them fast enough, but for some reason Scar wasn't at his full strength. He limped slightly, still clinging onto his arm before throwing it in the air and missing Edward to smack it on the side railing and dematerialize it.
She charged forward, gritting her teeth as she hooked her arms around Ed's flesh one. "Come on, idiot!" Kari tugged him, pulling him as Scar slouched forward still slamming his hand back down as he missed once again.

Ed cried out in pain as her hands hooked around the deep gash down his arm making the blood run down his own arm more and onto her. He dropped to the ground as his whole arm ached down to the tips of his fingers. He pushed himself off to the side with his metal hand barely dodging Scar again. Though, with everything going on, the rain wasn't doing anything to either of them. Ed was soaked to the bone and anything on scar that wasn't under his coat, was soaked as well. Ed looked up just in time to see Scar change to regular alchemy and blast it forward at Ed while he wrapped his arm tightly around Kari's waist and picked her up as he tried to dodge it. He let her go as a spike ripped through his side. He dropped to the ground and rolled onto his back coughing from the shock as he felt the deep cut on his side. He snarled angrily and looked over at Kari, and then back to Scar. He let out an angry roar, stood up, clapped his hands together, before he dropped back down and created a huge, ridiculously thick wall before he got up to run. ▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ ▀▄ -- -- -- --

"E-Edward! You idiot!"
She gritted her teeth, tears and raindrops clogging up her eyes again. Frantically she looked around, panting until she smacked her hands onto the giant wall, letting it glow as various sized pedastels popped out. Kari scowered around, climbing them clumsiy as the rain slicked up the sides and edges. She panted when she had reached the top, getting there much quicker than she thought she would, and looking down she could see that the two were still at it. Her head raced with any way to stop them, but nothing came up. Kari hilted one leg over the wall, looking down at the fall below her and feeling dizzy from just the height.
From where she was she could see the both of them, both growling at each other like fierce animalistic warriors. Scar still limped, moving forward quickly and only being held back a little by his disability. Her breath hindered, watching as he got closer and closer to Ed until he lifted his hand to strike again, missing as Edward had manuevered away and let Scar demolate the roof again. Kari gritted her teeth, wincing as she saw the position that they were in. "Scar stop!" Her voice screamed out as loud as she could, but it didn't carry to him. He ignored it, turning to face Ed before he made another charge forward; missing again and smaking against the wall.
Kari's eyes widened as she felt her skin jump up, leaving only her heart to fall along with the wall. She held onto the top of it, still gritting her teeth as she held in her own scream and holding onto the top of the wall as it broke down, piece by piece. The only thing she could see was the sky, and her body falling sideways as only a section of the wall crumbled beneath her.
At first she thought no one would save her, then she was sure that Edward would somehow; even if he was too far away. But she didn't need Edward because Scar had swooped in, reaching his hand up and grabbing her around her shoulders before they collided to the floor together. Even with Scar coushing her it was still a hard fall, they both fell onto the cement and laid there for a moment; Scar partially on his side while Kari was the same.

She looked up, her eyes a bit shocked and fearful that Scar had gotten back up so quickly, the anger still relevant in his eyes. Even though he was staggering he stood, swaying a bit while he clutched his alchemic arm before sticking it out.
She took a sharp intake of breath, realizing that he was still rearing for a fight, so she too stood up and grabbed onto his wrist. Even with both of her hands she couldn't grasp around his whole arm, just a show of how much stronger he was and her weakness compared to him. "Stop." Scar flarred his nostrils, huffing out breath before he staggered back and fell down once again, leaving Kari sanding and looking around at both of them. At this moment she didn't know what to do, unsure if she should leave both of them alone. But once again Scar came to her rescue in a sibliminal way, standing back up before he scowered off through the door that led to ground level. "Scar!" She stepped forward, remembering Edward before she stopped and turned around. "I'll...I'll go get Alphonse."
