"She'll be happy to stay out of her way, just don't talk to her." Vaati shrugged again, waiting eagerly for the Naruto and friends to arrive. Then the fun could really start. "And you're not going to babysit her, she's perfectly capable of watching herself."

"Can't we just kill the Forest Sage now? Do you actually want them in the Dark World?" Vaati leaned against the tree, his one eye constantly switching gazes from his new minion, to Aki, then to Shadow Link and back again.

"Killing the forest sage will do nothing, for his power will just transfer to the next heir. We must lock away his power. Once we kill Link and his friends, we can concentrate on the sage. Then we must find Zelda..." Shadow Link fell into deep thought after he finished talking.

Zelda had snuck out of the castle, again. She knew once her father died that she'd have to become queen, but wanted time outside of the castle walls before that happens. Zelda had taken the road to the North Gate; she saw a figure ahead of her. "Link!" She shouted excitedly. She came running to his side in a black cloak. "Link, how are you?" She smiled.

"Hm, I wish they would hurry up then." Vaati's gaze settled in the direction of the entrance. All I have to do is kill them and Ganondorf won't have to kill me. He thought to himself but it didn't help the fact that Ganondorf probably would still kill him.

Link looked surprised.
"You shouldn't be outside," and in a whisper he said, "It's not safe right now. I have reason to believe HE is back to attack Hyrule again. Ganon has broke free of his prison and is residing in the Dark World. I have others with me, but I don't want to get them involved with Ganon."
While he talked, he could feel the triforce of courage pulsating on his hand.
"You must stay out of sight until... Hide, my companions approach. They must not get involved."

Shadow Link saw the worry on Vaati's face and said, "Ganondorf will reward you greatly if you succeed in this. They should be here soon. But don't underestimate them. We all have our weaknesses, even your minion..."

Zelda stood her ground, pulling the cloak's hood over her head so you could see only her eyes. "But Link, if I stay in the castle I'll just get caught there instead, besides if I go back my father might be killed because of me." She complained. "I need to come with." She pleaded, but saw figures approaching. She hid behind a close boulder, "Please?" She asked, eyes full of innocence.
Tsubaki walked up the path to the North Gate with Naruto and Takeshi.

Naruto reached Link first and said, "We have plenty of supplies, we're ready."
Link sighed and said, "There is one problem." He turned toward where Zelda was hiding and said, "Come out". As Zelda approached, Link mouthed, "Keep your hood up and don't reveal your name." He was sure Zelda would do otherwise though. She was to much of a free spirit...
