strange... it doesn't seem to be working... in fact... you aren't even drained yourself... energy like water cannot go where it isn't needed....
and Hopian is beginning to wonder just what is wrong here... because although she is out of it... there seems to be nothing wrong.... it's as if she isn't there.... and yet she is....

Lyssan strange... it doesn't seem to be working... in fact... you aren't even drained yourself... energy like water cannot go where it isn't needed.... and Hopian is beginning to wonder just what is wrong here... because although she is out of it... there seems to be nothing wrong.... it's as if she isn't there.... and yet she is.... *Kero and Hopian look at each other, communicating in a way unknown to anyone else. They reach their paws and touch the symbols on each others head, Kero Touching Hopian's black sun, Hopian Kero's white crescent* We are one... *Suddenly, they change, Kero becoming an inky shadow as Hopian becomes a minature sun. Theirpowers mix as they dive into the Kitsune's systems, seeking the enchantment left by the Sapphire she gazed into*

you follow the tenuous glow of the twilight tether until you come to what appears to be a vaulting endless darkness... it is cold here, a cold so sharp and biting that your fur does little to warm you... there is within this empty realm a scent, familiar and acrid, but faint and subdued... it fills the void... the thread goes on... trailing into the distance... ending in a portal so black it stands out against the darkness in contrast... the scent of sulphur and decay is stronger here... sounds of battle and cries of anger, anguish, and hatred drift through it's gaping maw.... you, kero, of all people, know best where this portal leads...

*Both Kero and Hopian gasp, looking at each other in dread*
Kero: Gather the others...even together, we cannot take on all of them.
Hopian: Right, summon me if you're in trouble.
*Kero dives into the familiar portal, following the trail of Twilight, while Hopian doubles back, his spirit form filling his body again as he diappears in a flash of Lightning, accidentaly bringing Austin with him. They arrive in a cavern filled with beautiful gemstones, twelve of which are so huge they dwarf Austin's mind. Within some of these gigantic crystals are shapes, resembling children in the womb. Each of these creatures, for some are human and some leonin, bears a large gemstone on their forehead. Hopian immediately steps to the center and taps a small, glowing stone set there. The others awaken from their sleep, their eyes snapping open as they slowly phase out of their stones*
Hopian: My siblings, I have returned with a call for aid from my blood-brother Kerobian. He has invaded Gehenna in order to rescue a friend, and we must help him. As the leader of the lightning children and unofficial leader of all the gem-children, I call us to arms!

i probably won't be on this morning something i ate did not agree with me and have spent the last hour or so getting rid of it... the hard way... i hate dry heaves... yech... but that is besides the point... stomach is finally empty and settling down... but now i can't sleep... so if i do fall asleep after yuki heads off for school... i seriously am not considering waking up and going online, if you know what i mean... anyway... i wanted to give you a heads up on the treasure thread... you wanted to go to the island... right... well... i'm getting you guys to gehanna... from there it is a bit closer to your destination than you were before... heads up... you've entered a war zone... the blood war in fact... a portal to gehenna is nearby... on this plane pools (some empty... some noxious) of all sorts lead to other regions and planes... several are nearby and they all lead to various areas... you may wish to have kero lead you for a bit but above all you wish to avoid detection.... gehenna itself is a lawful evil realm... think organized crime to the max... the demons there do not appreciate chaotic tendencies... good luck! grin... i'll be on later to help keep things in order... but right now i need sleep.... nite... or is it morning... oh well... oh and you won't find e here... traces of my essence maybe.. but i've moved on towards our goal... not there yet but slowly getting there... or maybe i should say i'm being driven towards our goal... you'll understand later... burning_eyes

@kero... you come out on a ridge line of rough reddish brown rock... very little grows here... and that which does is stunted and warped... fungi and scraggly trees... nothing large or healthy looking... the air is hot and acrid... filled with a carnal stench.... the ridge rises gently before you ending in a abrupt bluff and some distance below you see bloated corpses and bits and pieces of things you'd rather not know... small strange flying lizards pick at the bodies much as crows would ravage bodies left on an earthen battlefield... behind you stretches a tortured landscape, dotted with craters and pools of foul liquids, some steaming, others rimmed with hoarfrost... you see no sign of life behind you and only death before... but the battle cannot be far off for the sounds of fighting fill the air... perhaps, just out of sight in the valley below... the sky over head is a heavy dull grey... there is a garish harsh light coming from somewhere, but no sun can be seen... it is difficult to tell what time of day it is....
of lyssan there is no sign, yet you sense she has been here and moved on... but where... down into the battle? or towards the pools?
