Suddenly a soft spoken argument between Lyssan and AMestru snares his attention.

"You have to be kidding me...." grumbles Amestru worriedly. "How is that possible? It can't be."

The kitsune queen shoves herself back from the desk with a grimmace. "The proof is right there before yer eyes, Ame. Look... here... here... here... as far back as the eye can see for as long as the world was populated.... someone's meddled. This is a terraformed world. Oh there is a great deal of the original here, but that strain of bacteria... that species of fish... look even there.... from the prehistory strata... that breed of horse. They are not natural. There is nothing it traces back to. Life forms do not magically manifest themselves, not on this scale. One here, one there... that I can accept, but evolution is a natural progression. Kero, what gives? Nothing about this planet indicates settlement and yet, someone has been interfering with it's growth. Enhancing it mostly, though it is obvious a few of their experiments failed catastrophically."

Kero walks over with a frown of his own. "Surely you are mistaken. I was talking to Bez earlier and he says he been there since... he left his homeland...d...d...d...d...d...... damn!" He moans slapping himself up aside the head. "No wonder he was worried..."

"Bez?" echoes Amestru in confusion, looking down at the file in puzzlement.

Understanding slowly makes it's way across Lyssan's face. "Kero... tell me truthfully... how much do those two have in common? Bez and me boyo, who seems to want to walk this world as a girl."

Kero eyes them nervously. "You mean they never told you?"

Amestru shrugs. "What's to tell. "He's a magical, a shapeshifter endowed of some strangely strong wild psi-talent, he loves Tam, and somehow between the two of them they had a family...." The old wolf kami sits on the edge of the desk and spreads his hands. "Hey, I always knew there was something odd about Talesian... a good sort of odd, but odd all the same. But hey, I"m not exactly normal myself. What's to question. Where I come from it all a matter of acceptance, really. He needed help... structure and guidance... and well, Lyssie and I were happy to give it."

Lyssan gaze narrows suspiciously. "Kero, what are you hiding?" She demands softly.

"Me... Hiding?" sighs Kero softly. "Nothing, I assure you. I was sure they told you. Damn... him and his secrets... that's it! I've had enough. Come with me both of you..." says the mage taking them both by the hand and leading them back down towards Ai's room.

"I need to corner Bez about something and there is something in here you need to see... need to know. Ly, once you see him, you'll understand... You have been to the high court, you'd know... and once we leave, you can explain it all to Ame here, but promise me this... no questions, not of him or of Bez... just yet, anyway. Later you can corner Bez to your heart's content... you may have to to get things straightened out, but Ai is teetering right now, on the brink of true madness, perhaps even dissolution. My cry scrambled his head more than just a bit. He's recovering from a cascading identity collapse... he might remember you, he might not. I can't say, but he needs quiet support. Got that... no questions... better yet, look but don't go to him. I'm serious. If you can't agree to that, stay in the hall."

After receiving nods from both kami, Kero slowly opens the door, so as not to disturb the family within.

While Ame and Lyssan watch over their son, Kero returns to his office, straightening up somewhat before sitting down and studying the file, seeing who terraformed what and how and why they did it. As well, he watches the family and his sira, lying there in bed, through an occlusion. Concerned as he is, he knows that anyone in that room who is not necessary is likely to cause his sira more trouble than they fix, and he refuses to allow that. So he prepares a wall spell, to use if Lyssan or Amestru attempt to approach the young Angel.

It is easy to see that whoever was tweaking the planet's ecosystem, has been the same individual from day one. And even what he had considered some of the more the indigenous lifeforms, were really introduced so far back in time as to be almost indistinguishable from those which had developed on their own.

"Why you sneaky little b*****d...." thinks Kero to himself with a hidden grin. "You chose to follow his gameplan after all..."

Bez, it seemed, had wanted to understand the All Father's motives and had chosen to re-enact them on a smaller scale. With eons on his hands and no one to interact with, he had chosen a small dead planet and had brought it to life. He couldn't create, but he could nututre... and nuture he did, tending to the planet like a dedicated farmer.

Kero studied the file closely and determining a plan of his own, wondering how he had missed all this over his long long life. Still, even though Bezernia's tinkering put a few bugs into his own plan, it also made it easier to follow in the end. There would be changes. It couldn't be avoided now. Some of those lifeforms had been uniquely chosen and nurtured, and no longer existed elsewhere in existence, but the changes were in areas he thought he could control. There were a few base bacteria only known to this planet, probably natives which lived far below the surface of the water, in depths few traveled. Trouble was, they were the food source at the bottom of a chain, so he had to introduce something that filled the niche properly without disturbing it too greatly. Others had been bred and alterred, not by scientific means but through long hard selection. Bez had wanted to see how and why some things worked and others didn't. No wonder his little island hide away of his had been so special in his eyes. No doubt at one point it had been his lab. Apparantly he no longer tinkered. He had wisely seen his hand was no longer needed. But he had invested a great deal of time and thought into the world, Kero had been so quick to devour.

Satisfied he now knows the source of the terraforming, or should he say terra farming, Kero peeks back at the bedroom. The kami are holding true to their promise and hanging back. So much so no one even seems to see them, not even the girls. But talking to Bez is out of the question. One look at the angellic family shows that he is deep in some sort of link with Ai, his head buried in the gryphon's feathers, arms about it's neck. Mara and Ari are both sound asleep curled up against Ai's side. The girls, Kero determines, are worn out emotionally, but Bez was no doubt attempting to help his soul mate find his center. Suddenly Lyssan turns to leave, her arm about Amestru's waist, her face a study of determination.

Nodding to himself, Kero studies the genetic code of the bacteria created by Bez, and gets some close relatives he finds, gently nudging them as he urges them to grow. He's not creating, but gently mutating them, with time slowed around him so he can do his work. Soon, he has developed the bacteria to fit the niche as closely as he can. He does the same thing for the other lifeforms, but some he cannot bring close enough without Bez's help. For the time being, a close facsimile would have to be enough.

Dispelling his shield, Kero gathers the Aethr necessary to start the chore, turning to the Kitsune Queen.

"Are we ready for this, Lyssan?"

Lyssan stands at his doorway, leaning on Amestru, looking thin, tired and extremely unsure of herself. She nods slowly and then shakes her head. "Not until I get some answers. How... how long have you known about those two? Tam still has a bit of the glow to him, but it's far dimmer than what it should be. And Bez is fair to be bursting with it, but it seems locked away, as if he himself has put a dam in place to hold it back. Why would any inhabitant of that plane wish to walk these paths freely? Most crave return. And what gives.. none of them, at least none of the originals have any sexuality or families to speak of.... and I know how old Tam is, so he's either one of the originals or at least of the first wave..."

Amestru sighs and gives her a hug. It is clear he has no idea what she's talking about. They had come straight to the office without talking. But he knew how upsetting seeing the two odd beings in the room had been for her. One was Tam, the gryphon shape had given him away almost instantly and Amestru had longed to go to them, to hold his child and grandkids close. Something in that scene had cried out for his love and understanding, while other things had held him back... his word assuredly, but something else as well... seeing the four curled up as they were, the two large imposing beings (Bez was Bez, but nearly twice his usual size) and the two small, all four clearly attached to one another emotionally... Even while unconscious, the gryphon was trying to protect them all, it's wings trying to embrace them all.

"Shhh, Lyssie... if Kero had thought it important, surely he would have said something long ago... don't we all have our secrets?"

Kero nods, turning and going to Lyssan after steadying a pile of files and papers that was teetering threateningly over their heads, like some macabre Tower of Pisa. Reaching the Kitsune Queen, he throws his arms around her in a giant hug.

"Lyysan, listen to Amestru. I keep his secrets because he asked me to, and because they are his secrets to tell, not mine. Now, lets get to building this world. It's going to take a while, so the sooner we get started, the better, right?"

With that, Kero snags the spheres of energy and Aethr he had left, and leads the way out to where the world had once hung, spinning silently in space.

Lyssan envelopes herself and Amestru in a bubble shield and follows him out, slowly gathering power as she moves. She refuses to drain her mate completely though and wonders just how much Kero will need to draw on her. If the lattice was set in place prior to their arrival, it might be enough... just enough. If not, things could get dicy.

Thinking hard, Kero suddenly spins around to look at Lyssan and Amestru, motioning for the wolf to step back and away. Pressing his hands together, he calls out to his master, causing the eye of the serpent to appear above them.

"What is it you wish to ask of me, Apprentice?" Comes a deeply booming voice that seems to shake the very Void to its core.

"Master, I wish of you your strength, given to one born of it. I wish you to aid Lyssan in the recreation of a world which I destroyed." Kero replies, his voice a little shaky, but strong nonetheless.

"To do such would require an immense expenditure of my powers, and I do not wish to do so right now. What reason can you give to make me desire to do this?" Says Jor, yawning with a blast of wind like a hurricane. Here in his natural environment, he was even bigger than Lyssan remembered him.

Kero thinks for a second, then pulls out a photo album and holds it up in the air. "I surrender your photo album to you, Master. No more shall I use it to blackmail you, nor to prank you ever again. I swear it as a Voidmage, should you accept this as payment." He says, though a small tear swims in his eyes, as that album contains a small photograph of his mother as well...the painting Tam had once done for him, shrunk down. It had been his addition, and he only just now remembered he had placed it there. But he was ready. A painting was just a painting. There was something important to do here.

"I accept your payment." Jor says, finally. "Give me my album, and I shall aid my sister in the reconstruction of this world/ However, I also wish for you, Kerobian, to summon our parents, so that we may have some form of Backup should our powers fail in this."

"Master, It shall be done," says Kero, handing over the Album with a tear, and looking at Lyssan, seeing if she is ready and willing.

Looking like a storm cloud, Lyssan kisses Ame on the cheek, then suddenly shoves him away, encasing him in a seperate bubble to keep him safe.

"I'm sorry, old wolf.... I know you want to help, but I... I can't do this with you at my side..." she whispers in a husky emotion-filled voice. "Be safe... and be strong... and what ever you do... be silent. Don't call to me until I tell you to... promise?"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 26, 2010 9:30 pm

Nodding to her, Kero promises to keep Ame safe, and gently leads them out to the site where the world had once stood, now a desolate graveyard, already filling with the mists of the endless Void.

"This will be tricky, Sister mine. Are we sure we want Kerobian involved in this. Yes, he is stubborn and strong, but do you truly think he can stand up to this?' Jor asks, concern for his apprentice in his voice.

Lyssan sighs. "As he is the one who ate the world, he is the one most intimately connected to it. Tell me brother mine... can you recreate that which you do not know?"
PostPosted: Tue Jul 27, 2010 4:08 am

Shaking his head, Jor acknowledges her point.

"Alright. He's needed. I just don't want him hurt by this, Ly. Not at all."

"Neither do I..." says the kitsune with a twisted grin. "I've been to the world, to visit my grand babies... I think you've even been there once or twice yourself, but I never traveled it extensively. Never saw a need for it. So we will simply have to do our best. Now... I refuse to draw on Ame... and you know why... so are you honestly cool with this? I'm serious... I've never drawn on you before... Not sure what might happen... It might work, might not... might only give me a trickle, might give me a flood so strong I lose control... I'm not saying we shouldn't do it, just be prepared for the worse... in my book whatever I'm prepared for never happens...."

Nodding, Jormungandr sets about his work, instantly springing up a series of leechlike attachments to himself, connecting himself to his sister. Now she can draw on his power, or he can send it to her. I tall depends on what exactly happens as they attempt to rebuild the world.

She eyes the leech like tethers with a touch of distaste, but doesn't object. There really isn't anything she can object to when it comes down to it. Turning to Kero she asks how he wants to go about this... He needs to set up the inorganic forms, hence the planet itself, first, but she isn't too sure he can do it on hs own.
