Kero nods at Emnast's doubts.
"I know it seems like I overreacted, but this way I can actually do one thing. I can make this world disappear completely from the eyes of the dark ones. I can only do that with worlds like this, that I have eaten. Touched by my power, this world will vanish without a trace from the eyes of the dark ones. That is why I did this."

Bez still isn't convinced, though he understands Kero's motives. creating a world that was invisible to the eyes of his fallen kin and their playmates was almost worth the cost... but only almost. He had chosen that world because of it's diversity of life forms. Even back then, at the beginning of his banishment, he had had an inkling of understanding and had wanted to study the All Father's creations in detail. In many ways it was his world now, he looked after it, kept it from harm, and he had lived there for a long long time, coming close to it's inhabitants in his distant fashion. Kero would have a long hard task ahead of him to even mimic a fraction of the animal and plant life that had lived there. And without that interlinked ecosystem held in it's delicate balance, the world would eventually change. Whether for the good or the bad, he could not say, but it frightened him to no end.

Smiling at Bez, Kero directs him to a filing cabinet, telling him to pull out a file labeled "Home."
When he does, Bez is amazed. It is his world, with every detail, every scrap of information required to rebuild it, down to the last little thing, exactly as it had been.

He blinks and looks back at Kero, then back down at the file which weighs a ton and so thick he can barely lift it, written in script so tiny only with the abilities of his angellic eyes can he even begin to read it.
"When... when did you have time to do all this?" he stammers in confusion.

Laughing, Kero reminds Bez of his immense age.
"In the millions of years I have chronicled souls, of course. Every memory of a soul is laid bare, and I use those memories to help build up models of each world in these files. Every shard is contained here, in these filing cabinets."

Bez shakes his head in amazement, then looks up to see Ari standing in the doorway. "Yes, Princess, what is it?"
"Em said to get you. Mama is moaning again."

To their dismay she/he seems to be caught up in the midst of a failed morph, half cat/half humanoid, and in a great deal of pain as her/his shape fights to establish itself into one form or the other.
Bez reaches for one hand while Kero takes the other, each of them struggling to feed her energy and strength.
Bez looks up at Emnast and snarls. "Get them out of here... before it begins to affect them as well. Isolate them, if you can."
With a nod, Emnast shoos the girls out of the room before him and quietly closes the door.

Kero nods to Bez, and begins wielding his magic on Ai, gently ushering her out of both shapes, and into that of the great Gryphon with whom he had once mated. It is a long and difficult struggle, but eventually, Kero manages to switch Ai back to a familiar form.

Bez sobs with relief as Ai is once again seemingly locked into a familiar shape and Kero had been right in chosing the primal form. Always seek the core he had been taught, but somehow he had not been able to reach it.
Burying his face in her feathers the dark haired angel hugged her close, dwarfed by her size but hardly caring.
"Thank you, Kerobian.... thank you so very very much. She's still in pain, but I think now her body can concentrate on healing...."
Out in the hallway Kero can hear a familiar pair of voices arguing with Rhea and Emnast and smiles. Now he can get on with his task. The Lady Inari and her consort, Amestru, were here, their voices strident with concern, angry that they weren't being allowed in the room to help heal their adopted child. But Rhea and Emnast had wisely stared them down. Confusion now was the one thing Ai did not need. Peace and quiet, surrounded by the ones she loved, that was the best cure for what ailed her. It was all in her head, after all. Her memories and thought patterns had been scrambled and only time would sort it out. She had managed to fight off the effects of his scream only so far and for only so long. Shifting shape had triggered a domino collapse within her. Now, with the shape once again locked in place, the mind could slowly rebuild and reorganize it's structures. She might lose a few memories in the process, but hopefully none of them would be important enough for anyone to notice.
"I'll send in the girls." Kero says softly resting a comforting hand on Bez's shoulder. "It would be good for her to see them when she awakens."

Stepping outside, Kero takes Ari and Mara in his hands, gently steering them into the room with Bez.
"Go on. Your Mama should see you when she awakens. Go on, you two, don't be staring at me. I have work to do."
With that, Kero turns to Lyssan and Ame, nodding to them as he pulls the file off the desk, calling to the various spheres around him.
"Well, I think you know already what I need your help to do. If not, I want to rebuild this world I just devoured. Exactly the way it was."

"Are ye insane!" crows Lyssan, throwing up her hands in wonderment. Her eyes are wild with concern. "Kero, child... are ye sure that cry of yers didn't scramble yer head as well... I can't remake a world! AMe, talk some sense into his head." She turns to her mate in alarm but Amestru has a different take on the matter.
His eyes glittering with cunning, he grins wickedly. He has heard from the girls and Em what had taken place and thinks he knows what Kero is up to, but he's not quite sure why. "I assume you have a plan and good reason for doing so... but I warn ye, the All Father might object. He doesn't seem to mind us playing with his creations on a small scale, but the big..." Still it is obvious that although he has concerns, the project interests him. A chance to study life forms from the ground up has his curiosity bug is quivering with excitement.
"Yer both nuts!" snarls the kitsune worriedly. Then she asks what's really troubling her. "Is... is Tam gonna be alright?"

Kero nods, turning between Amestru and Lyssan.
"Listen well, you two. What happened to that world was not meant to be. My Aunt diverted the paths with her meddling ways. As such, I feel we need to rebuild it. I have the substance contained here, and once I have the canvas ready to work with, I can begin the process of restoration. However, as you well know, Lyssan, I cannot create. I cannot remake the canvas I destroyed.

Lyssan snorts rudely through her nose. "I'm a freelancer... haven't ye figured that out by now. A one shot wonder. I've never followed a blue print in me life..." She runs a nervous hand through her hair, bemused by the magnitude of what Kero is asking her.
Amestru chuckles softly, winking at Kerobian. "Think of it as a challenge, my love. Look at the opportunity you have here... of course ye won't be able to meddle... would sort of defeat the purpose of the..."
"Are ye saying I'm a meddler?" demands Lyssan testily, her eyes sparking with a hidden fire.
"Iffin the shoe fits..." he slurs, looking at the ceiling.
The kitsune looks outraged and Kero begins to wonder who exactly Amestru is working for here, when suddenly she snatches the file from his hands and plops it down on a nearby desk that she somehow manages to sweep clean with her tail in the same movement.
"Ha! I dare you to say I meddle... let's see... what sort of building blocks are ye giving me, Kerobian?" she demands materializng a familiar chair, the one from her home office, and sits down opening the file. A lamp suddenly appears next to the desk, illuminating her workspace.
Amestru grins like a maniac and flashes Kero the thumbs up. "Are ye sure ye can do this, Lyssie... it looks rather complicated..." he interjects with a touch of false apprehension in his voice.
"Shut yer trap and get over here, ye big lug... Make yerself useful, help me determine the level of development... Terran, level 6, I think, but these tribes here are a bit further along......." She mutters back, snaring him with the self same tail, while peering at the files, an enormous magnifying glass in her hand.
Kero looks at the mess she's made of his office and sighs. It is a good thing Rhea was in a good mood these days. He wouldn't have any time to help her reorganize the disorder.
