*Honorian shrugs*
The temperature rarely changes on our homeworld, save at the poles. Most societies are based around the equator, so aside from the rains, it's hard to tell the years without marking time...

Tam nods. "My home world is huge, one of the few functional giants and as such the temperature and weather varies greatly from one region to another. One of the reasons we are so varied in our true forms. Bez is from a warmer clime than I... a temperate jungle..."

*Honorian smiles*
I, too, hail from a Jungle...my paws are designed for the swift movement over dry leaves...

Tam smiles. "Mine are large and webbed.. for movement over snow. Bez has narrower paws but his claws are longer and sharper than mine... as he is a silent hunter... and his coloration is his calling card..." He looks at the two humans and lifts a graceful brow. "I expect we are boring the heck out of ye... sitting here and comparing our physical features... especially since you probably have no idea what I truly look like..."

*They smile at him, and embrace each other...chastely, mind you...*
We don't mind...we can take Lion form...we just prefer our human ones...

"I avoided mine for eons... kind of... actually I had forgotten how to summon it... selective amnesia, I suppose. Though I did manage to recall bits of it... enough that my secondary form was that of a griffin..." he says with a shrug.
"Auntie Ai ish a fowx...." laughs Salunia displaying a chocolate smile.

Tam laughs. "I am not truly a fox, Princess... it is merely a form I am comfortable in, since it is the form of my foster mother, who cared a great deal for me when I could not care for myself."

Tam smiles fondly at her. "I am Kerobian's foster father... I love him and care for him, just as if he is my own child. The Lady Inari, whom you know as Granma Lyssan, is one who has done the same for me. She is not my real mother.... I... um... didn't have one.... so she graciously chose to raise me as her own."

Tam smiles gratefully at the gem child. He didn't mind explaining things to Salunia, but he knew she was far to young to truly understand certain bits of his past, such as why he had no mother.
Noise in the garden catches his ear and he excuses himself to go find Hopian and Bez manhandling a large boar onto Kero's butchering stone. Bez looks absolutely exhausted, so Tam sends him in, with a warning to wash as they had company, and helps Hopian prepare the meat.
