The boy stands outside the cocoon and stares in at the kitsune who seems to be wasting away. "He's not getting better is he? He's Tam's brother, right? Would he know what to do?"

I don't know, Pasa...I was waiting for all of us to get better, and then move in again...I've a feeling the crystal is still there, or e wouldn't respond to my stasis spell...he's not really that miuch worse off....just a little peaked...but even with my magic, we need to get in there...in fact...go get Tam, Bez, and the rest of the crew...you and I will do what must be done.

The boy runs off in a flash as Emnast comes into the room. "I don't know Kero, he really does look bad. Maybe we should have fed him something while he was in there."

Unfortunately, you're right...but if we feed him before we go in, it'll cause trouble...when we come out though, remind me to do so...that will go a long way to helping him...

A short time later, Passura returns with Tam, followed in turn by Bez who is carrying the girls in their cradle. He also has a stack of diapers and bottles. When Kero gives him a strange look, he shrugs.
"Ai made me bring them..." he says offhandedly.
Suddenly a male kitsune, with waist length wild red hair is standing before them, where the lion once stood. He checks on the girls and sure enough, they are no longer cubs. Fortunately his transformation has done nothing more than shift their form. They are still female and quite young.
As Bez hands him diapers, Tam quickly diapers them both. Then he gives Bez a hug and turns to Kero. "What you need..." His mind voice is still laced with discomfort, but he is ready and willing to do whatever is needed.

Very well...but we all need to do this...Keva hasn't gotten any better...so we need to simply go in there now and see if anything needs fixing...shall we, everyone?

Tam nods and stands waiting for Kero to drop the cocoon, but as he does, Tam's hand comes up with a flash. "Stop.." he whispers with a wide grin. He looks at Pasa and mimics writing a note. The boy runs off and comes back with a pas of paper and a carbon stick. Tam nods and writes:
He's fine... just needs a mate... Can't you smell the air?

Tam nods and scribbles some more.
Stress... induced maturation... don't know... but he needs to feed. He's exuding that to attract a mate. Send Pasa out... NOW
The boy is sitting on the end of the bed, looking worriedly at the kitsune, reaching out to touch his leg.

*Kero takes his son and steers him towards the exit of their cavern*
Go out and play for a bit, son....I don't know why Tam doesn't want you in there...but he knows Keva better than I do...so we need to get you out if he says out.

Tam is examining Keva carefully. "He's healing..." he whispers softly and grabbing the pad writes.
Healing takes energy and kitsunes need the life energy of others once they reach maturity... unable to create their own after a certain point... they really don't care who... until they are older....

Tam studies Keva closely and frowns. He writes down "quite a lot" on the pad and points to the ball resting on Keva's chest. It is no where near a bright as it used to be. He chews his lower lip and sighs. "correction... he'd have drained Pasa to dust..." he writes sadly. "all without knowing it...."

Tam sends Emnast for the crystals and keeps a close eye on Kerobian. He hopes that by feeding him this way, Kero doesn't initiate a bond between the two of them, but he doesn't know what else to do. He motions for Bez to take the girls out as well. No need to encourage trouble in that direction either.
