Tam offers to make everyone some tea and asks if they wish to wait for Hopian to return. "He should be back soon. Bez is a very good tracker. With his shoulder messed up he won't be able to bring much down, but I'm sure with him beating the brush, they will be back with enough to restock the larder."

"Heyla, Princess.... ye heard me, huh? Let me get that for you and you go get the milk... okay?" he laughs scooping her up and giving her a hug. "But I think you will be getting only one mug as well... yer getting heavy, little girl... got to watch yer figure ye know..."

Tam laughs. "I did not call you fat... pleasantly plump maybe.... but fat... never.. I was merely warning ye, Princess... nothing more. Now how about that milk? He asks setting a small pan upon the stove and measuring in the chocolate syrup. While she darts off to fetch the milk, he finds his spare kettle and fills it with fresh water for tea.

Tam teaches Salunia how to whip chocolate into the hot milk, then places two large mugs of hot chocolate on a tray along with several mugs and a fresh pot of herbal tea, liberally scented with citrus peel. He has the cub hold the door for him and carries it into the living room. Placing it on the foot stool, he begins to pass the drinks around, starting with the cubs.

Tam sits down on the edge of the hearth, allowing his guests to use the available chairs and cushions. "So, how is everything back home?" he asks blowing on his tea to cool it.

That does not soak you to the skin." sighs Tam shaking his head. "How cold are your winters? It is warmer here than in my snowy wastes but not by much."
