The boy laughs. "I'll put it out on my desk so we both can have some. Fair enough?" He finishes eating and clears the table. Then he digs out a newly made wooden box from under his bed and puts it on the table. "Anyone here know how to play fox and hound?" He asks hopefully. "Heck even ifin ye don't know much I'll help ye... and I'll play the fox to go easy on ye..." he remarks lightly, setting up a checker board with four red tokens and one black one.

The boy laughs. "Ye move just like ye do in checkers, but no jumping allowed. I got to get to yer side to win and you have to pen me in so I can't move to win. It's really very easy." says the boy earnestly. "Put yer hounds on the black squares on one end. I get to start on any black square on mine... wanna play?"

With Emnast looking on, making snide comments when either side makes a blunder, the two go at it. Kero soon realizes he's facing a mind, similar to his own, analytical and devious. Never has he had so much fun losing... and never has he felt so rewarded when he wins.

*Kero and Emnast both accept, happily, as Kero pulls his chessboard out of the Void....a gift from one of his underlings....gold and silver on ivory and onyx....and the board itself is marble...*
This is a chessboard, Pasa...no, no...that's the joy of this, it was a gift from a close friend of mine....the pieces move where they are told, and can give a new player advice...*Sets the board up, explaining the rules of chess*

**Ye may have to... I'm a checkers player and othello... Yosh is the chess player and yuki... I never got into the game... I like games which are deceptively simple but really aren't.**
The boy stares at the game in awe, but he is also overwhelmed. He has never heard of a bishop or knight and the concept of king and queen are only vaguely known. Maybe iffin ye bring it down a bit to his level.

Okay, Pasa...chess is really very simple....these pieces out front are your pawns...the little, everyday things....*Moves onto explaining the pieces like a series of village setup, with the king being the headman, and the queen being his wife*...
**By which I meant, do you need me to explain the movesets to you, or do you know how a king or a pawn can move**

Passura soon gets the gist of things, though he keeps messing up the knights and rooks. Suddenly he looks up, a light bulb going on in his head. "This sound like something Keva told to...." He pales and jumping down runs to check on the young kitsune, realizing no one has even mentioned him since he had woken up.
