Tam smiles wryly at her words. "I don't really mind iffin they like me or not, though it is good to be appreciated once in a blue moon. So I don't embody the right kind of stuff huh? That's a new one on me. Kind of amusing, actually.... I've never been looked down on for that before. I've been called a goodie two shoes, a busy body, and a nag... and resented for that... guardians aren't always welcomed by their charges... at least not at first."

Tam smiles thinly. "I have never told a true lie, though words are my playground... I may mislead, within reason for the better good... but lie, never. As for being faithful... I am guilty as charged but few cannot harbor no doubt. Even Bez, who's element is faith... which is what led to his fall. And I fear for you and your gem child friends if in your uniqueness you become so focused on your individual elements that you look down on those who do not fulfill them to completion. For even the All Father's son showed anger and doubt. But even though he feared the outcome, he strove to fulfill his father's purpose. We are all his children, Fortuny...and as such, we all deserve the acceptance of one other."

Tam lifts his hands to his face and rubs his long nose with the sides of his thumbs. "Sorry... I didn't mean to sound so testy. I'm just worn to the bone. Emotionally that is... and it leaves me with an enormous chip on my shoulder. I haven't fed properly is ages. I've tried, but I was such a mess mentally I really didn't put it to good use. I make a lousy psychic vampire... don't even know how to feed properly... sorry, Fortuny... but that's what I am... I faced it long ago... it helped that Lyssan and Amestru feed in a similar manner. They helped me accept myself, thinking for the longest time I was a kami spirit much like them."

"I would far rather teach my charges to stand on their own two feet... but I understand. So what do you propose we do with this small crisis we're having right now.... I don't want you or your family ill, Fortuny. The babes are too small."

"Well, I have to give it to ye people... ye certainly know how to make an entrance." he quips with a grin.

"Kero is upstairs... Hope is hunting.... Anything else ye want to know?" says Tam shaking his head. "Word of warning, Kero's salamander is standing guard.... and he's pretty diligent."

Tam bobs his head in a graceful greeting. "Be welcome to my home, I don't believe we've met."

Tam nods a more gracious greeting. "Then you are indeed most welcomed in our home, for joy is something that we all strive to share. As for Kero's guardian... Thyrion is reasonable, as salamanders go. But I fear my son is... well, for the lack of a better word... a grouch... don't say I didn't warn ye. When he's sick, he's nigh on unlivable."
