Tam shrugs. "Maybe, but I don't think so. He likes all kinds of foods, not just spicy ones. Why don't you go ask him. He should probably get up anyway and eat something. He's been asleep a very long time."

Tam sighs. "Not a good sign. Have you seen any of the salamanders today, Princess? Strangely I haven't.... and we might need one."

Tam nods. "Then I'll go see what's wrong. Thyrion would know if it's more than just him taking a chill. You stay down here, Princess. No need exposing you anymore than you already have been."
He goes upstairs and finds Kero sleeping fitfully and thyrion curled about his neck.
"Flameborn, how is he?" he asks sitting down on the edge of the bed.

"He will still need to eat and someone will need to help tend him... I do not catch diseases that are living born... Magical yes... but the flu isn't one of those... so I'm safe, but I'll keep my distance so as not to carry it to any other... Is there anything he needs... fluids, food, a good book to read?" asks Tam pulling back his hand, which was moving to scratch Kero's head. Tam sighs. "I know he feels better sleeping here, but is he well enough to port to the water closet if necessary? If not, we will have to move him downstairs as well."

Tam nods and goes to gather together some bland food and Kero's tea, which is still sitting on the warmer on the stove. It's a little stronger now, but camomile tea tastes perfectly fine like that. He sweetens the entire pot with honey and puts it on a tray with a bowl to drink from. Then he add Kero's porridge, grateful now he had made such a mild lunch. Carrying it into the living room he pulls down the book Kero's been reading and adds it to the tray as well. But before carrying it up, he turns to Fortuny.
"M'lady, I will be sorry to see your family leave, but it would be wise if when Hopian returns you and he take the children back to your home in the desert. Kero is quite sick with something that can be highly contagious. Thyrion is asking for a spat of days to cure him, which means he's really pretty bad off. He has the flu and I'd hate to see you or the children catch it."

*Fortuny nods...then stops*
Impossible...I cannot leave my cubs...and they are too young for interworldly travel...they have to be at least a week old...Salunia didn't come here until she was two weeks old...

Tam swears softly under his breath as he carries the tray upstairs. He leaves it with Thyrion and returns, sinking into his chair with a sigh.
"I wish I knew where he got it from. It wasn't me... or rather I haven't been around anyone who was sick... My body cannot harbor illnesses... they simply won't take hold... But I could bring a germ or two down from down from upstairs and spread it that way, iffin I need to tend to him... Bez is much the same, I think. At least all my fellow brethren back home were. I really don't know all that much about the fallen ones... but from what I see... they are geis bound... prevented from certain things and bound to others... but their metabolism is much as it was at home. I really do not wish for you or your young to catch it. Keep a close eye on Salunia... she tried to rough house with him... the odds of her catching something from that are extremely slim, but truth is, it depends on the flu strain he has. Thyrion didn't say exactly which one it was. I'm not so sure he knows the difference between them. Some are mild... Others are extremely contagious and deadly."

Tam looks up with interest. "Really... and would they be willing to do this? I have had a bad track record with the gem children and Kero... some of them seem to have it in for him... no one will tell me why either. Did he do something bad in the past that I don't know about... in one of his other lives. Other than that bit with him going off the deep end because of Hope... I mean I can understand them not trusting him all that much because of that... but most of them seem to be a bit more lenient than that would imply."

*She nods*
Most of us trust him, thanks to his bond with Hopian....they look down on you a bit, simply because they embody things you don't...notice how much Pyro likes you...and even though that old ball of flame won't say it, Honorian likes you too...
