After a bit, she hears him groan loudly. "Fortuny, I need to go change... Gem decided to well... baptize me... Better come claim yer younguns..." Then before she can make it in, he groans again. "Ack! Night! Must you two always do things in unison..."

Tam stands up and looks at the stains on his pants. "Man... and I just got these clean too. Oh well, can't be helped. I was wondering. How soon will you be wanting a sandbox for them, or are ye planing to carry them out fer their training?"

Tam nods. "I'll clean an area in the garden for ye then and rake it smooth... a nice sunny patch. And don't worry about keeping it clean. The rest of us can keep it up for ye."

Tam shrugs. "Don't worry about it. I've probably caused as much trouble as I've helped of late. I messed things up pretty bad... I'm honestly surprised Hope didn't send me packing... He should have. And the funny thing is... I still feel so torn up inside... so confused. Everyone is trying so hard to pretend it's all alright, that my behavior was nothing to get upset at... but it was.... Bez, Kero... Hope... you... heck, even Salunia... sometimes... sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't have just froze solid..."

Suddenly he gives a bitter laugh and shakes his head. "Listen to me... I sound like someone else we know... forgive me, Fortuny... I shouldn't be bending yer ear like this..."

"Auntie Ai, you're crying..." says Salunia from the doorway.

"It's alright, Princess... sometimes people need to cry. It helps them get their heads on straight." says Tam with a sad smile. He scrubs at his cheeks then pushes himself up form the chair and stretches. "Ye want yer cookies, don't ye? Tell you what... Let's go get them and ye can eat 'em outside while I fix up a corner of the garden for yer mama to teach yer brothers how to do their thing outside. Ye can be my supervisor and tell me what to do."

Tam pulls down the cookie jar and reaches in, pulling out two types of cookies... oatmeal and chocolate chip. "Which type do you want or do you want one of each?" he asks with a wink. "The oatmeal are sweet with cinnamon and raisins... and we both know how much you like chocolate."

Tam hands her the two cookies then returns the jar before going outside. He examines the garden ad picks a spot in the full sun which rarely gets shade. At this time of year it was one of the warmest spots he knew of. Taking up a rake and shovel, he begins to clear the area, transplanting a few things, wedding out the rest until he had a fairly nice sized plot for Fortuny to use. Then he broke the dirt up and raked it fine and smooth. Stepping back he eyes it carefully then turns to Salunia.

"What do you think? Is it acceptable?"

Tam nods thoughtfully. "Maybe I should get a bit of sand to mix into it. There is a lot of clay in this and if it gets wet... it will get hard and clumpy... but then you and your family will probably going back home before the winter rains set in. I'll sure miss you, Princess. You keep me busy."
