Nodding Tam looks down at Salunia. "Ye know, iffin ye want something on yer porridge, ye could try ketchup... it gives it flavor without burning yer mouth."

Tam nods and leads the way into the kitchen. "I'm making your mom's tea. You show me what you want and I'll get it down for you."

Tam puts the sauces on the table. "The big bottle is the ketchup and thelittle bottle is the Tabasco sauce." he tells her heating up another pot of water for Fortuny's tea.

Tam laughs and hands her a large glass of milk. "Try this first. I don't think Kero can put that fire out but milk might. Told ye... a little bit first.... so did you like the taste? It's good huh? Just need to keep the heat under control."

He adds a bit more porridge to her bowl to tame it down a bit and asks her to try it again. "Just a nibble though... if it's still too hot... I'll add a bit more." Finally after a bit of tasting and adding they find a fairly good balance.

"Better? Spices, especially the hot ones, taste really good, but the after effects can lay ye low, Princess. Milk is good for taming it, so is sugar, but at your age too much sugar can lead to some bad eating habits... heck, at any age too much sugar leads to bad eating habits... I say try the milk first... I know how much sugar I put in that porridge and ye really don't need to be adding more. Besides milk will help keep yer bones strong... "

Tam chuckles. "But yer Daddy has a way of burning off all those excess calories you don't have and may not develop. For him to harness lightning he needs a lot of energy. He burns if off naturally. But you my dear, don't... at least not yet, and you will wind up as round as a butter ball if you ate like him. I'm sorry, Salunia, but it is best for you not to develop a bad habit now, because they are hell to break later in life. Trust me. But, if you eat all your food, I will let you have two cookies for dessert... Fair enough?"

Tam watches her eat, grinning from ear to ear. Once the tea is done, he carries it into Fortuny, laughing. "Sorry, dear heart. Sal kind of over doctored her lunch... but we managed to find a happy medium... ye know.. you may soon be outnumbered by the spice lovers in your family. She seems to have inherited her father's tastes."

Tam looks down at the two tiny squirming cubs and laughs as they plow their way across each other and the cushion between them and their mother in search of milk.

"Looks like it's lunch time... but I know you haven't had a moment to yerself this morning. How about I hold them for you while you go stretch yer legs a bit and maybe visit the water closet? That bladder of yers is about to burst, I bet."

Tam scooops up the two tiny cubs, holding them in the crook of his arm. Kero was considerably older than they when he was placed in his care, but not much larger. These two little ones were going to grow up to be quite a pair, he thinks, running a gentle finger along the top of Noctus' head. Gemfire seems to sense he's being left out and whimpers for attention.

"Twins..." he chuckles. "Already you demand equal service... here... I'll pet you too..." he whispers doing the same, admiring the tiny cub's gem. "So much power, so much strength... the two of you have a long road to follow.... but together, you bring it off... I know you will... Amazing...." he croons holding them close, allowing the love in his heart to embrace and shelter them both.

When Fortuny returns at a much more leisurely pace, she f inds him sitting in his chair cuddling them both close, with an expression of loving adoration on his face and a longing in his eyes only another fem would understand.
