"Yes, it was a long time to be sick." Victor replied, in a voice that sounded distracted. Blinking, he returned himself from the realm of his mind. He looked to Amber, trying to think of an answer to her multiple questions. "First of all, yes that is quite the long time. To answer your other two questions, I'll have to tell you what happened." Leaving out some key details in the process.
Victor explained the whole story about the Gods and how they had bestowed the responsibility of a charge onto him, in order for him to change his ways. "I was charged with you because after I was sick, I basically did not hold anything dear, therefore, anything that I did not deem important I disposed of." Victor said, his voice calm through the whole story. He hoped that the little white lie he just told about after he was sick would fly. If she saw through his lie, then he would have to delve into his supressed memories.

Amber thought was finally beginning to piece things together. Victor had been sick for a long time and it had affected his memory. Wouldn't that mean it was some sort of mental illness? Was he insane? He said that he held nothing dear to him, so then he disposed of them. Wouldn't that mean he destroyed everything? People, even? It would certainly explain why the Gods he spoke of would have done this to him, with as much as she had gathered about it.
She chewed lightly on her lower lip as she watched Victor out of the corner of her eye. If he had indeed been insane, then that didn't make her feel at all safe. He seemed fine, now, though...
"Well," She began, though she didn't really know what she was going to say. He seemed rather evasive when it came to the subject of his illness, so she decided to try and avoid it. For now. "Do you know how many others there are that got this same treatment? Or is there anyone else like you that was 'cursed?' Are they here or are they in some other town?" She blinked twice, then looked apologetic. "Sorry, I'm asking way too many questions, right?"
(( Stupid role playing slump. I want my literacy to come back. >< ))

Victor thought for a moment. "There were six other vampires who were cursed. I beleive all of them are charged with the care of a person in this town. Although I have not personally met any of the other cursed, I know that there are others because when I was cursed, the Gods told me about them." Victor said. He ran a hand through his hair habitually, brushing loose strands out of his eyesight. Shaking his head, he sid, "No, it's perfectly fine to be asking questions for a person in your situation. It is quite alright." Victor said, smiling inthe slightest, hoping it would get rid of her anxiousness to ask questions.
"So far I know that you only have a small group of friends that you truly get along with. All those people at the party are just mere acquaintances, correct?" Victor asked. He wanted to know what Amber's view of those people were, and even if she didn't admit it, he knew that she only had a small circle of people that she trusts. Just by observing how she acted around those two kids compared to the rest of the party-going group told him alot.
~*OOC*~ Sorreh for the late reply, Ari-chan. School is buggering with the amount of creativity I have. ~*OOC*~

(( It's the same thing with me. My English class is draining me terribly. ))
Amber didn't reply about his explanation of the other cursed vampires, or when he spoke of her asking so many questions. She merely stared blankly at the water, which was completely smooth all across it. Normally, someone was swimming in it or skipping stones. She'd even seen someone waterskiing, but that was a couple years ago so she assumed the person had gotten in trouble for it. Emerald eyes blinked lazily, and then shifted her gaze upward at the sky, which looked like it was beginning to darken. She frowned to herself, her head tilted to one side. She was broken from her thoughts when she heard a comment made on her friends. She whirled around on him, almost lost her balance, and then steadied herself. "Hey, what's with the sudden change of subject? And no, they're all my friends! What are you talking about?" She scoffed, reverting right back to her annoyingly defensive self in an instant. Amber only paused to search for the proper wording, then went right back to defending them. "They can be a little different at times, but they're still my friends, Victor! So don't you dare say anything otherwise!" After all he had told her, she didn't see any reason she should be afraid of him. He had to protect her or he'd go to hell. Wasn't that it? So that meant she didn't need to watch how she said things to him. If she was annoyed, she'd go right ahead and say it the way she'd do for anyone else.
