_Solsi followed her partner's gaze and noted the hatch, briefly. Nodding to Kate, she looked around the halls. "Sometimes they'll have a map posted on the wall, like the kind you'd see at the mall. It's usually for bigger places though...so I don't see one..." Well it was worth a shot. With her compass gone it was up to her and Kate to make sense of the place and find Arron. They continued down the passage they were on until they came to a fork. "Which way ya feelin', right or left?" she asked in a whisper.OOC: ~

Ru Paused for a slight moment. Not a soul seemed to be moving. His war weathered senses immediately made him think Trap? Possibility, keep my eyes sharp. For now, try to take out communications, knock out propulsion, or start eighty-sixing any patrols. He fiddled with his gauntlets for a moment. They were inertia activated kinetic amplifier gloves that were synced to the light armor he was wearing. They would allow him to make his usually harsh punches crush through some of the protective armor he was up against without him damaging his own bones, he hoped. He heard the light foot falls of the "detective" Mattie, turning to acknowledge her presence. He drew his bayonet again, and gave her a quick gesture. The music was as good a place as any to start tearing through the ranks of these thugs on payroll. Ru crouched low and made his way to the doorway where the tunes seemed to be coming from.

Ru & the "great" detective would find themselves in none other than the bridge. It was actually very small meaning only for one or two pilots to be inside. However there was no one at the helm.
The two magical girls could also hear something. It was a wheezing sound coming from the right corridor.

Mattie's mind was a little distracted as she gazed all around the interior of the ship. She was on a spaceship. A SPACESHIP! Things like this only happened in the movies, or the comics she stashed away under her bed. 'Oh man....wait till pops hears about this...' Her eyes continued to travel until she spotted her odd companion, and she hurried to catch up to him. He seemed in thought for a bit, doing something with the gloves on his hands, but then turned to her. Making a motion toward a doorway, he began to move again, toward some... Music! Space music! Oh she would have to get her hands on that radio at some point. It would make her next gig the swankiest one in town, maybe she could use some of the progressions as improv pieces...she shook her head. She had to focus. Something was a little off about the ship, even she could feel it. The feeling grew worse as they entered what seemed to be the pilots station. Glowing buttons, switches and gauges everywhere...but where were the aliens? "Does it seem a little empty in here?" She whispered to Ru, a growing look of concern on her face.

_Before the two could decide which way to turn, a sound came and filled the silence. It seemed to be...heavy breathing...like someone was tired or injured... Solsi's thoughts immediately went to the mechanic, but she swallowed, realizing any outcome was possible. She mouthed over to Kate without actually making a peep. "Do you hear that? It might be Arron!" She held a finger up to her lips signifying they should be as quiet as possible. If what Ann said about him was true, there was a chance he might not recognize they were only trying to help. Swallowing a little, she sneaked around the corner...OOC: ~

Kate had heard the noise as well. She turned in the direction of it and nodded at her partner. Maybe it was Arron! Although, there was a large possibility it wasn't him. They had to be cautious as they turned into the corridor. Taking a deep breath, she followed Solsi in the direction of the wheezing.

The mercenary & detective would possibly hear breathing & smell blood. Yet it was no where to be found. Until something hit them both in the back. The blow was strong, possibly knocking them both deeper into the room they had opened.
Kate & Solsi would come across, another mercenary. However, he was very injured already & was bleeding profusely from his head & side.

_Solsi gasped a little at the sight. Getting her bearings she gave the man a quick visual assessment. It was too late to hide now, she knew he spotted them, but being so damaged there was time plan a response at least. As he doubled over in pain she quickly signaled to Kate to relieve him of any weapons he might have while she approached from the front. "Who did this to you?" she asked kindly but firmly.OOC: ~

The two magical girls had found a man beaten and blooded on the floor. She wasn't sure how long he had been like this, but her guess was most recently. Nodding at Solsi's suggestion, she would carefully remove any weapons the mercenary had on him. If he tried to move or grab for one of these, she would have a bind spell ready for use.

The man coughed. "Wh-Who do you th-think lady?" he said, "Th-That guy's a-a... mon-monster. He-He'll... b-be back to-to finish me off. G-Get out of here." The mercenary was in very bad shape, but he still had his wits about him.

The feeling of unease seemed to worsen, as for some reason the sound of someone breathing was getting a little closer...closer...clo-THWAK "Augh!" Mattie cried, the blow rattling her wiry frame and sending her crashing into the back of a pilot's seat. Struggling to stand, and get air back into her lungs, she turned her head to get a look at their new adversary, hand reaching to underneath her jacket... OOC: O_O...did we roll Lyth? I think we rolled Lyth. Holy crap.

As RU looked around in the room, he noticed two things. First off, there was the faintest whiff of blood in the air. The second was the breathing. Before Ru could speak a warning to Mattie, something slammed into the his back. "Gah!" he yelped in surprise. The bayonet flew from his hands and clattered across the floor. As he struggled to maintain his balance, he smashed a viewscreen with his left hand (damned gloves) as he tried to brace with the front of the cockpit. His right hand became a blur as he drew the old revolver out of his holster, bringing it to bear in the direction the blow came from. With the hammer back and six supercharger rounds ready to fly he growled through gritted teeth, "You get one chance."OOC: It's heating up in here! And, his hand may be stuck in there for a moment...

_Solsi frowned momentarily before she sprang into action. Using her ribbon as gauze she wrapped up his wounds for him. "No he won't, but I hope you've learned your lesson." she said strictly. "This is karma, I hope you know. Which way did he go?"OOC: ~
