The Delcatty skittered off with the weakest of meows as Sissil defeated. The little ghost kitten crossed his arms over his chest, huffing a little a as he watched it run. Good, it needed to get lost! He didn’t even realize he was about to be ambushed by a renegade Rattata that was watching the commotion. It lunged for the Magikit but was promptly shut down as Dresden appeared and gave it a punch to the side sending it flying and fleeing away from the pair. Dirty little rat creatures, trying to play dirty.

Dresden and Sissil looked between one another before sticking together and travelling further into the grass to seek out more opponents to fight. They stumbled upon a pair of Audino apparently travelling together, forging for food or just enjoying one another’s presence. The rabbit and kitten quirked their heads slightly as the stared the two down. The first of the Audino noticed them, turning and looking curiously before giving a little bow of greeting. Then it went into a sort of defense stance as though ready to do battle. Dresden glanced at Sissil, the Magikit hovering back a bit to let him take the lead; he seemed to know what he was doing after all.

The Audino gave a little bow as it got to its feet from defeat, stepping back as the smaller of the two stepped up to do battle. They were very honorable acting creatures, Dresden had to give them that. This time, he gave a bow of his own in return. He’d try to be a little gentler with this one, but he wasn’t going to hold back so that it could easily defeat him or anything.

The pair watched as the Audino retreated away. Sissil gave Dresden an impressed look; the Buneary was certainly growing stronger at a much quicker rate. Faraday had been serious when it came to the whole ‘getting stronger faster’ claim. Of course, he didn’t feel too much stronger but these type of pokemon seemed up the Buneary’s lane to begin with. This was doubly confirmed as another Cottonee appeared, trying to fluff its way up on the Buneary’s head before being promptly punched away. Dresden apparently wasn’t having any of it.

Sissil hovered off at the sound of something rustling in the nearby bushes. While Dresden checked the area for any more pokemon of the cotton persuasion, Sissil found himself facing off with the most questionable looking of birds. The Pidove head titled every which way as it stared the Magikit down. On instinct, the ghost kitten’s ears flattened down as he took to stalking the new prey. He could handle this one on his own; Dresden could punch something else.

The Pidove was a lot tougher than it initially looked. Sissil scowled a little, watching the bird fly off before promptly licking at his own wounds. It hadn’t hurt him much, but all that air flying up had scuffed him and made his coat dirty. He tried brushing it out, oblivious to the fact that another bird was lurking in the grass, watching his movements.
Apparently, the Pidove thought it could get revenge, flying swiftly at the Magikit in a surprise strike. Sissil blinked and looked up, ready to leap into action with a headbutt when a flash of white appeared from nearby, Dresden smashing a fist into the bird and sending it spiraling backwards. Unlike with other pokemon, this one didn’t quite suffer the same way from the rabbit’s attacks, able to retaliate with a swift cut of wind. Dresden only flinched a bit, giving a little scoff and launching another punch to finish the bird off properly. Once that was handled he turned back to Sissil, looking the Magikit over a moment.
"You alright?" The rabbit inquired. Sissil blinked, staring at him a moment. It’d been a while since they’d actually spoken to one another. The last time had been back in the cave, when they’d recovered that egg. Sissil gave a curt nod of his head. "Yeah I’m fine… thanks." Dresden watched him a moment longer.
"You need to keep an eye out better. You can’t afford to be surprised." he finally retorted. Sissil blinked and puffed up a little, ears twitching a bit in agitation. While something about Dresden’s words irked him, he wasn’t entirely offended. Something about the tone the rabbit used. It was odd.
"Come on, let’s get going." Dresden remarked as the sound of a shrill whistle sounded from where they’d left Faraday. Sissil blinked and relaxed, ears twitching before he nodded his own head and flew after the Buneary to return to their trainer. What a strange team this was.

Faraday looked up from his pokedex as his pokemon reappeared. Dresden and Sissil were the primary ones missing at the time; Murphy and Chromie had made their way back to the group at some point before the other two, playing around with one another while they waited. The Zorua watched them dully a moment, perking up just a bit as he eyed the Buneary and Magikit upon their return.
"There you two are. Find a lot to battle?" The detective remarked, moving the device to take a look. It seemed that they’d indeed done some battling; Sissil was a bit stronger as was Dresden. Actually, he was definitely strong enough that maybe they could handle the gym in Mauville. It was worth a go.
"Alright all, we’re going to hop on the train back to Mauville and give the gym a try." He eyed Dresden in particular as he said this, the rabbit giving a nod. It was fairly evident that Faraday was relying on him to get the job done on this one and he’d do just that. He reached down and returned Chromie and Murphy for now, allowing Sissil, Dresden and the Zorua to stay out. He hadn’t even bothered to actually get the black fox into a pokeball now that he considered it. That was probably something to do before someone stole the thing from him again. Faraday shook his head, getting to his feet and shoving the pokedex away as he ushered them to follow. As he pulled his hand out something seemed to drop from the bag, Sissil blinking and immediately scooping it up out of interest. It looked like a little… egg thing?
Faraday blinked and looked down when he saw the ghost out the corner of his eye. "Hm… keep a hold of that actually, Sissy. It’ll help you." The detective remarked after a moment of thought. The Magikit gave him a bit of a look but nodded, holding tightly to the egg. Yet another gift for him to claim as his own! With that done, Faraday continued along, ushering his pokemon along. "let’s move you three, times a’wasting."

"--Feel that?" The last of Huey's inquiry was delivered in the real world, the slow realization of such a fact surprising the boy as he looked about wildly. They were back? Just like that? With his eyebrows furrowed in concern and confusion he looked to Tybalt for an answer, only to find that the Gardevoir was as perplexed as he was. He stood silent for a moment, posture rigid, then finally drew his head down so that he could look at his trainer. "I can sense other life forms, multiple in fact-- this must be the real world," he clarified and then watched as Huey's face lit up. They were finally back! And--he quickly did a headcount--they had everyone with them! Only Cloud seemed mildly disappointed, displaying a pout as he looked down at the ground and kicked a stone. "Aww... Jay had given a bit of a laugh, tilting his head, sounding both amused and a little nervous. "Ah, well, now ah wouldn' go that far," he relented, grinning a bit and holding his hands palm out, perhaps in a bit of a surrendering position. He definitely didn't want or need Sebastian even playfully asking his 'advice' on any of those matters. He dropped his arms and quirked an eyebrow at Sebastian's little saying, coined off his remark. ".... Well ah s'pose that's one way ta put it," he remarked. Certainly worked for him.
Jay just smirked silently at Sebastian's claim to make up a better excuse, and took the opportunity to focus on tickets, and then find a place to sit, as a way to try and get out of that. While they waited for the boat, he thought over his plan, figuring he should probably try and find a way to learn about hte next few gyms, and start training the pokemon he would need. And once they ewre on the boat... he took a bit of a nap. Boats were still not his thing. He'd rather try and... sleep through it. Besides, it was a pretty long boat ride... Jay was pretty sure it might have actually taken the night, seeing as how things seemed to settle down for a while, as he drifted in and out of sleep.
As the arrived the next morning, Jay put on his hat, checking the time as they docked. "So, Sebastian, ready ta start on down fer the first few gyms? Y'want me t'come with?" he asked, sounding perfectly fine with the idea. He would find training a bit harder with the pokemon being lower level in that direction, but.... he could probably manage just fine all the same.

Sebastian stifled a yawn as the boat finally docked, rubbing gingerly at the back of his neck. Well that had certainly been a long ride; especially when you weren’t feeling much like sleeping. He’d taken the time to adjust him team, use up some of his items that he was hoarding and clear up his bag a bit. Good use of the time.
Stepping off the docks he glanced around the Castelia city harbor curiously. The city was… damn it was big. The buildings were looming and judging by the various docks, they had a lot of boats come through at any given time. It was crazy. Shaking his head, he directed his attention to Jay, an eyebrow quirking at the question.
"Ah, sure! We need to get heading to…. Striaton right?" He remarked, stepping over to check a map board near the end of the pier to get an idea of which way the route gate was. As he looked it over, he noticed a couple of fliers tacked to the side as well, advertising some kind of … festival? Sebastian looked it over curiously a moment, tugging one down and reading it over.

Huey swung his legs back and forth idly, humming a made-up tune in an attempt to keep himself entertained. That distortion world had been scary, the man he'd battled even scarier-- but... he'd try and forget about that, try his hardest. For now that would be easy, considering all he needed to concentrate on, but he imagined that it'd be harder when he went to bed; he'd probably even have a few nightmares. Until then though the young boy forced himself to think of the more... cheerful things. As strange as it was his time in the other world wasn't a true reflection of the time here, from what he could just barely grasp, it'd felt like he'd been there for hours but, when he'd checked the clock on the wall, only a few minutes, if that, had passed since he'd finished his exploring the city; which meant his father was due to arrive in an hour.
He needed to prepare to meet his dad, not to mention figure out a way to find an Everstone for Tybalt, luckily he already had a Dawn stone so as soon as he devolved him he could evolve him into a Gallade and.. and give him that mega stone! Ty would really like that! Plus, he needed to start training for his fourth badge, which meant switching up his team and concentrating on getting them stronger. It'd probably be smart to move Beep-- and maybe give him his mega stone too? Huey would have to consider that one though. Not to mention he still had that Emolga and Klefki he'd rescued, he'd ask Nurse Joy about the former as soon as she got done healing his pokemon.
Wow, there was so much to do! He.. he was going to be busy for quite a bit.

Huey sat quietly for a few minutes, doing various things to keep himself being bored and/or starting to become paranoid, before Nurse Joy finally returned with a tray of Huey's pokeballs. "Here you go, young man! All of your pokemon are in good health, take care to keep them that way." The young blonde nodded as he pushed out of his chair and hurriedly made for the counter to retrieve his pokeballs, carefully taking them one by one and clipping them back to his belt. He was done to just Yuki's when her capsule shook and popped open, the Froslass escaping from her confines to greet her trainer, as always, with an icy hug. Huey shivered violently, his body temperature instantly dropping, looked at his partner from the corner of his eye and gave a smile-- or at least tried to before his teeth began chattering. "H-hi Yu-Yu-Yuki," he greeted her the best he could, quietly trying to endure the cold that now enveloped his body.
Yuki, understanding that she quite literally freezing her trainer, reluctantly let go and floated back a few feet away, hoping that her distance would help his body temperature to rise and return to normal. Huey patted himself over gently and began wiggling his fingers to allow blood flow. He smacked his cheeks lightly, red from the cold, and then once he'd determined himself okay offered a smile to both Yuki and Nurse Joy to assure them of his condition. "You've been inside your pokeball too long, I know. I'm sorry about that." He addressed Yuki as he turned to face her, the Froslass nodding mournfully before she clutched one arm. "What if you had gotten hurt while I was away? Then what would've happened?" Huey couldn't help but giggle, though he knew Yuki was serious-- she was such a worrywart. "I was fine, Yuki! You worry too much."
Never mind the fact that he'd almost been sacrificed to a Giratina... but hey, Yuki didn't need to know that. Huey, having considered his and his pokemon's conversation over for now, turned back to Nurse Joy with plans of asking her a few questions. "Nurse Joy, do you remember when I dropped off an Emolga here? The one that was all battered and hurt? How's it doing?" The pink-haired nurse took a moment to pull something up on her computer, Emolga's charts he imagined, before she looked back up at Huey, a soft smile able to be seen. "He's doing well, he just needs to rest and stay out of the air and battles-- he'll regain his ability to fly, just so long as he doesn't try and use them. You can take him back now, but only if you promise not to use him in battle."
As the news slowly registered Huey couldn't help but break out into a slow grin, so that Emolga really was going to be fine? That was great! He was sure his Klefki friend would be happy to hear that too! "Thank you Nurse Joy, I promise I won't battle him at all-- I'll even send him home with my brother to be taken care of, he's a breeder!" The woman's smile grew a smidgeon before she nodded and logged out of Emolga's logs, preparing herself to move once more. "If you'll wait right here I'll go retrieve him for you."

It was a good thing Jay was blind and couldn’t see Sebastian’s expression because there was no suppressing the look of absolute ‘wat’ that was on it as Jay gave his description. He was quiet, which was good because he wasn’t sure what kind of sound he’d make in response to that. He couldn’t blame the cowboy, it was a fair enough description but just… he didn’t know. It wasn’t as well.
