It had certainly been an interesting evening. Tobias mused over the previous night's dance and all that had gone on.
The smokey male was just sort of wandering around his room, relaxing after having been solid so long. Much had gone on and it left him pondering things. Dancing with Sammy, Charlie cutting in for a dance, and asking him out for a date, then finding Sammy had disappeared. He sighed, not sure exactly what to make of things right then. Perhaps outside perspective was needed.
Momentarily he made himself solid and picked up his cell. Looking at the screen a moment, he started to text.
Hello, Rae my dear. I have tea if you have time.
Little else would be needed, she would most likely answer and know he was asking her to stop by if she had free time. Setting his phone on the coffee table, he faded back to smoke.

Hearing her phone chime on her way back from class, Rae paused on the second floor corridor to see who was texting her. There was no need to really see who it was, the princess had set a different song to play for each person in her contact list. Letting the song play for a moment before replying, she leaned against the wall, nodding along to the music. If ever there was a hipster in the anon community, she was it.

'Well, look who it is! I just got back from the palace. Archery is killer on the arms, man.. I'd love to pop in for some tea. Just let me change into something warm, and I'll be right over. See you then! <3'

Heading back to her room, a tired smile spreading across her lips, she took her time changing into something more comfortable than the ensemble she was wearing. Just picture someone at a professional archery tournament, only with more style, and you've got Ravena in her archery gear. Sporting a new red and black hoodie, she snagged a matching scarf on her way out of her room. Making her way down the hall and turning the corner, she came to the dimly lit hallway where Toby had made his little hideaway. Knocking softly on the door to announce her presence, she stood back from the door a little.

"So, I heard mentions of tea.. Is there still a password system in place, or..?" she asked, a sly tone coloring her voice. She left the sentence unfinished on purpose. He can interpret that any way he liked. Ravena loved hanging with him, and seeing as he was the only one to invite her over, she had taken to spending a lot of time here. You could say he was her favorite friend, aside from the playful cat boy, or the tree god, or even Panty, as abrasive as the angel could sometimes be.

His phone was currently set to vibrate, so it buzzed on the table. Making one hand solid, he checked the message and smiled.
Alright, I shall see you shortly then.
His hand faded again once he was done and he stretched. Tea and a little time with his best friend would be good as it had been awhile since they last hung out.
Tobias waited awhile, then went solid and set about heating up water for the tea. As he waited, he heard a knock and couldn't help a chuckle as he headed over hearing Rae.
"I would probably forget it too quickly for it to be much use."
As he spoke, he opened the door and stood aside.
"Please come in, Rae my dear. I have water almost ready for our tea."

"We could just as easily go with the first one we came up with, if you remember it." came the jovial response. "Don't mind if I do.~ How are you, by the way?" The tiny princess asked, scooping the hood off her strawberry pink hair and stepping inside. Unwinding the scarf from her neck and placing it on a hook by the door, Rae basically made herself at home. It was rather cold in his room, so she kept her boots and hoodie on for the moment.

"Excellent. Oh, hey, we match!" Smiling, she gestured to his chosen attire for the day. He almost always wore formal type clothes, but he did have a rather nice fashion sense, she thought. Holding her arms out to him, she was basically asking in her own way if she could have a hug. It was alright if he didn't feel like reciprocating right now, but after a long day of listening to someone constantly correct your posture, it would be a welcome change.

Closing the door after her, he nodded approvingly at her look.
"That we do. Lovely choice as always, Rae my dear."
Smiling he drew her into a hug, he knew what she was asking for. Holding her a moment, he gazed down at her.
"I think we could both do with some tea. What kind would you like today?"
Letting her go, he turned and headed to the kitchenette. Getting out two cups he poured the now correct temperature water and got out his assortment of teas for her to pick from.
"So, that dance..interesting night."
Thumbing through the tea as he spoke, he didn't look up at her. Might as well get right to it, it wasn't going to stop prodding for his attention anyway.

"I'm kinda tired, honestly. Archery takes a lot out of a girl.." She would be okay, but no more physical activity for this princess today. Seeing as her offer was interpreted correctly, Rae happily gave Toby a tight squeeze, or as tight a squeeze as a 5' 2'' tiny girl was capable of. Tea sounded lovely after all the painstaking effort to learn how to wield a bow had gone.

"How about some peppermint tea? I could use the pick me up. Plus, I know it's your favorite.~" After he let go, she would follow after him to the kitchenette. This princess loved her tea, and it was only because of Toby that she expanded her palette into different kinds of tea. While she waited, Rae leaned against the counter on his other side. Judging by his tone, he was about to let loose on something that was bothering him.

"Yeah.. it was rather interesting. I do wish I had been able to dance more, but I understand others were otherwise engaged. What ever happened with you and Charming, anyhow?" She was only asking out of polite curiosity. Not to mention, if something was bothering him about it, she would be there to listen.

"All the more reason for tea. And a good choice, think I shall join you."
Picking out two peppermint tea bags, he set them to steep in the cups. He got out sugar, cream, and spoons then turned to face her. Leaning back against the counter, he ran his fingers through his hair with a sigh. Both eyes were briefly visible before his hair fell back in place, but his gaze was unfocused.
"I would have asked you for one, but time was not on our side I suppose. Yes, about that.."
Here he paused and rubbed at the back of his neck. His gaze at last focusing on her face.
"To my befuddlement, he asked me out. Not at all what I was expecting. I do not think I have ever seen him blush so much. The man can dance though. Heh, I will give him that. But Rae.."
Again he paused, and looked over at the cups slowly getting slightly darker in color.
"Where did this come from? I can handle a situation when I am in it, but now..I guess I am rather at a loss."
Looking over to her again, he gave a slight smile. He hadn't been aware of anyone liking him since his last relationship. Needless to say, he was cautious about the whole thing.

"That's alright, you know you can ask me for a dance anytime." Yes, she could see something was definitely bothering him, judging by the look in his eyes. Really, all he had to do was call or text her if he wanted her to swing by. She might not get back to him right away, but Rae always made time for him.

"Did he really? I didn't know he was.. well, into either. I've never seen him blush, so. He can dance very well, yes.." she trailed off, waiting for him to continue. Oh, so that's what this was. She remembered being there for the last relationship he had, and the fallout aftermath. It hadn't been pretty. Rumor has it that she had been the cause of the other person's jealous nature. Rae was glad he no longer had to deal with that, honestly. Toby deserved so much better than that, it was no wonder he was reacting this way.

Reaching out to take one of his hands in hers and giving it a light squeeze, the tiny princess gave him a reassuring smile in return. "I'm not sure where it came from, but I can tell you Charlie has a good heart. If you don't, or can't reciprocate his feelings, that's okay. If you do, again, that's okay. It's natural to feel uncertain about these things. Love can be.. a fickle mistress." Not entirely sure where she was going with this anymore, Rae merely shrugged. "It's all up to you, sweetheart. However you want to deal with this, I've got your back."

Tobias shrugged, that wasn't really the part he had been dwelling on.
"Nor I, but that is sort of the thing. I really know very little about Charlie."
Perhaps that was the root, or part of it, to what he was fretting over. Looking down as she took his hand and squeezed, he smiled a little more.
"Yes, he does seem to be a good man. I suppose I am simply unsure of what he feels so strongly about me for. Does he know me better than I realize? I then feel I have to some degree failed in not knowing him better."
Giving her hand a return squeeze, he let go and crossed his arms over his chest.
"To be honest, I am not sure how I truly feel. Seeing him happy was nice, and I do enjoy a blush."
Chuckling, he shook his head.
"Mm but seriously, I would like to get to know him better."
Growing quiet again, he mused some more. Maybe he didn't know the other so well, but the dance and talking had been enjoyable. Turning to the tea, he began to get it the way he liked.
"I may not know how this will go, but I was serious when I accepted his offer to go for tea. I think I am just going to see how this goes."
Facing her again, he moved so she could get to her tea.
"Tea should be ready now. And thank you, Rae my dear. I know you do, I believe you are the only one I could discuss this with."

"Well, maybe this date will be an opportunity to get to know him better. He's awfully sweet." It was the best advice should give him right now. Letting go of his hand as he drew away, she nodded, understanding where he was coming from. "You could maybe get his phone number next time you see him, if he has one."

That was good, he was optimistic about it, at least. Shuffling over to the tea, she poured a generous measure of sugar in and stirred until it dissolved. It seemed to be warm enough, so she took a test sip. Satisfied, she jerked her chin in the direction of his couch. "Well, I'm always around if you need me. There's no shame in discussing one's feelings, and it can help more than staying silent about it. Know if there's anything good on tv?"

Trying his tea as well, he smiled pleased with the taste. His brow then raised at her words and he gazed down at her a moment.
"Oh? I suppose you do know him better than I. High praise from you will be taken into consideration."
Winking, he then chuckled shaking his head.
"Getting his number probably would have been a good idea last night. Heh, but I guess it slipped both our minds."
Nodding at her indicating the couch, he headed over with his tea.
"I know, and I do appreciate it. Heh, not sure. We can check if you like."
Sitting down, he grabbed the remote and offered it to her. Chances were she'd have better luck finding something than he would.

"Don't just take my word for it though, okay?" She didn't want to be wrong about all of this. Rae wanted nothing but the best for her friends, Toby included. Following him over to the couch, she used her feet to slip off her boots. That done, it was time for the cuddles. Curling up beside him on the couch, she took the remote from him with her free hand, turning it to the tv guide channel.

"You can always ask him the next time you two meet, it's not a big deal. I'm not even sure that man knows how to use a cellphone.." she mused, staring at the tv screen. Why he always let her pick what to watch, she never knew. Their tastes in television were drastically different, yet he seemed to tolerate just about anything she wanted to watch. If that's not a good friend, she didn't know what was. "Ooh, how about Charmed! I love that show. I've seen almost every episode at least six or seven times.." They tiny princess would leave it up to him, of course, though she did have hope he would agree.

Waiting for her to get comfortable, he draped an arm along the back of the couch and sipped his tea. Watching the screen, he couldn't help a slight chuckle at her misgivings of his abilities to use a cellphone.
"I can, yes. Charlie seems capable enough, I am sure he can use one. How do you get in touch with him?"
He usually let her pick as he rarely watched tv unless she was there. Left to himself, he'd simply read. He liked watching tv and movies, he just seemed to prefer having someone there as well if he did. There was also his not bothering to keep track of when shows he had found he liked came on.
"If you are alright seeing them again, then by all means."

Good, she preferred when others formed their own opinions on things rather than just taking her word as gospel truth. Leaning back against the couch, taking another sip of her tea, she took that to mean she could indeed change it to whatever she liked. Doing so, the little strawberry blonde settled in for a comfy afternoon of watching a coven of sister witches kick demon booty.

"I know you can, but I do wonder if Charlie knows how.. I've never seen him use one. He usually just finds me during events and we hang out. I usually cook for him, which is always fun." Rae loved cooking, it made her happy. It also made her happy when others ate her food. "I don't mind watching them again. It's one of those shows you can pick up after awhile and just jump back into the plot. The characters are pretty great, too." And hey, it looked like they had started all over, which was convenient for them. Toby could watch it from the beginning with her and form his own opinions about it.

His gaze shifted to her at the cooking comment.
"Do you? Lucky Charlie, what do you make for him?"
Returning to watching the show, a smile tugged at his lips.
"This really is a favorite of yours. Did I see a cat in the opening?"
At him saying cat, several pairs of eyes seemed to pop up around the room. It wasn't long before the two friends had some smaller fluffy companions settling on and around them.
"Heh, seems we have company."

"I wish you luck with that, then. I have a few lines tucked away for a rainy day if you ever need help." Now she was just teasing him about it. Taking another sip of tea, she nodded. "Mhm! He likes my chicken pot pie the best, I think. I don't blame him, it's really good if I do say so myself." Normally, she didn't like talking during her favorite programs, since it was just them talking amongst themselves, she didn't mind it so much.

"Yes, that's their familiar, Kit. She becomes somewhat relevant later on in the season. After that, she doesn't really show up anymore, which is kind of sad." At the mention of cats, she did wonder where all of his little furry friends had gotten off to. Now surrounded by kitties, Rae was indeed in heaven. So many precious babies in one place? He'd be lucky she ever left his room at all.

"Hello, sweethearts.~ We do at that, and a lot of it. I was wondering where they had all gotten off to.." Now she was content to pet the little darlings while watching the show. Looks like it would be on for at least a couple of hours, but she had some time before her next class. It was Economics; though not one of her favorites, she still did well, considering she would be dealing with foreign nobles and other dignitaries one day soon.
