"Alright hon, I'll get right on that." Lydia left the room happily. Having guests in her house always put her in a chipper mood. Hospitality was something she felt was fading away with time, so she felt almost obligated to welcome others to her home with open arms. She pulled a drawer open filled with woolen blankets made over the course of the last few years. They were all hand-knit by friends and family, or Lydia herself. Lydia selected a simple pink one and took it with her to the guest room, spreading it across the bed and then fluffing out the pillow. "Hm... That just doesn't seem like enough blankets." She frowned, deciding to give her another. This time Lydia grabbed a blue and white-striped one and kept it folded, neatly placing it by the bed. "Brooke, it's all ready for you, you can head to bed whenever you'd like." Lydia poked her head back into the kitchen, then yawned. "I'm gonna get some shut-eye myself. Goodnight all!" And with that she disappeared into her bedroom. "I'm going to stay up a little later." Mary stated, then began to leave, lingering in the doorway before turning to her. "There's a real big book my brother Robert bought me while out at the market recently, I'm about halfway through. If you wanna read anything we've got a bookshelf of all sorts of things in the living room."
Link thought a moment, carefully plotting out his reply. This can be a rather delicate topic, one could get easily offended. "I get the concept, I'll admit. Darkness is the same, its consistent. But the intentions associated with it are what make it an enemy to us. True, light fluctuates, but it never means harm. That is why I, along with many others, fight darkness."
"Oh thank goodness." Teagan laughed lightly as they clambered up the hill to her house. Her place was a small cottage, with walls of smooth, tall, planks of wood curving outward to make the structure almost round-shaped. A little wraparound porch circled it. It was raised from the ground slightly, you had to go up a couple steps to reach the door. The roof was made of hundreds of small wooden shingles, heading up to a curved point at the top and making it look like a cone. From the back you could see a couple apple trees, along with a few flower-boxes and grapevines. "Hoo, home sweet home." She grinned, opening the door. On the inside, the place looked much bigger and taller than on the outside. The main room was round shaped, with a high ceiling coming up to a point like the roof. To the left was a ladder leading up to Teagan's bed. An ornate rug spanned about half of the surface area of the floor. A few couches were on the right, as well. Teagan was right about the walls. They were littered with drawings and sketches and paintings and all sorts of random little notes and things. An entire section of the wall had four bookshelves stuffed with novels, tomes, and other pieces of literature. Quite a few shelves were scattered around, and those were cluttered with odd little knickknacks, from seashells to nesting dolls to jars of paper stars. "Told you my house was messy. The majority of what's on the walls are my drawings." She put her hands on her hips and scanned the room. "I think it's rather cozy, but that's just me. Hm... I'm going to make some warm milk or tea or something to help me sleep. Want any?"

"Oh, well alright. I guess I may read quick short book before I get my sleep." Brooke said, giggling quietly, attempting not to wake the others. "And who knows, maybe it'll help me sleep." She said smiling, then shyly made her way toward the bookshelf, scanning through it and picking out an appealing short story from the selection.

This did not seem to sway Lucifer, who was intrigued by what Link said. "Are you certain such intentions they had were all bad? Maybe a few were simple destruction, but who was to say we couldn't benefit from having all realms under the banner of one? Why must we fight someone who was CHANGE? Light changes all the time, why must we be against the one thing we say we side with for everything?"

Mary plopped down onto the couch, opening up a rather large tome on a famous Hylian murder. "It's a creepy and eerie book, but for some reason I like it. Anyway, what kinds of books do you like? We have many genres."
"I am certain they were. Take Ganondorf, for example. His intentions are to overrun Hyrule and make it his, extinguishing the Hylian race. He doesn't want to make it better, he wants it for his own, selfish reasons." Link began to get aggravated just at the thought of his sworn enemy. "Look, we're here." Indeed, Link's house was in front of them, now, to Link's relief. He did not want to continue this discussion. He'd only get more and more skeptical of Lucifer and his beliefs. Was he harboring an evil man? Was he working for Ganondorf? Who was this man and why was Link letting him into his house? The man was weak, though. Not used to gravity. Link would be able to take down the man easy if he tried to pull any tricks. He climbed up the ladder and opened the door, letting Lucifer in somewhat reluctantly. "I don't have a guest bedroom, I apologize. Is a couch alright?"
[Kusugari: (I'm starting to feel bad for Miss, she has to write for so many characters!!) My response: It's no trouble at all, Kusugari. These characters are temporary, and likely will not show up often later. Hm. This leads me to my second notice, guys. Should I add in a "minor characters" section? Yes or no? Please respond in the Out of Character chat thread. Which leads me to the other part of the notice. People have not been using the OOC Chat often, instead they post in here. I'm asking you all now to please start using that instead of posting out of character here. It kind of clutters the RP.]

Brooke continued scanning the shelf of books. She stopped and looked up to notice Mary and a large novel. "Well, I like just about anything really." Brooke continued. "Just not really slow ones. I can't pay attention too well to them, and I hardly ever know what's going on in them." She said laughing. "The book you're reading seems interesting. I like mystery and murder books like that too. It's funny, the way I appear to people, they would never guess I was into those books." Brooke laughed again.

"Do not worry, I do not require sleep. I have grown very patient and will simply wait for you to wake up. "
He quietly made his way into the house, still eying Link's hand with the Triforce symbol. He had seen what kind of power it had held, but even without his intentions, Lucifer didn't want that kind of power in the hands of a boy, much less a brave boy who could fight. It could do just as much harm as Ganondorf had done with his power. But Ganondorf and the others didn't know ho wonderous Darkness could be. Imagine, a world where everything was all darkness, clean, perfect darkness. Nothing fluctuating, nothing constantly changing, and under his great wisdom. It made him shiver with anticipation, or was it the strain of using the ladder?
"There is one thing I have noticed throughout the ages. Ganondorf may have had more power than most, but anyone with power in their hands seems to eventually get corrupted, unless they have strong, incorruptable virtues. How do I know I'm going to be in the same house as the next 'King of Evil'? Power is a temptation that very few can resist, boy."

Every hundred years....
It was true, how Ganondorf was an extremely powerful being. In fact, he was aware of the fact that, divided, all six Sages, Zelda, Link, and anybody else who opposed him would crumble to dust. The problem was that Link had rescued the Sages from their imprisonment, who then aided in the freeing of Zelda herself. Together, they were more powerful than Ganondorf. Not to mention, the Master’s Sword Link wielded, quite unprofessionally at that, had the power to subdue Ganondorf’s power. That sword, even though it didn’t kill him, it was the final component to his ultimate defeat during his reign over Hyrule. In truth, everything that came together to destroy Ganondorf was utterly useless on its own.
Yet, even when Ganondorf had succeeded in separating and imprisoning Zelda and the Sages all at once, he’d lost sight of Link. For ten years, Link was nowhere to be found. Then, suddenly, as if he’d fallen from the sky, Link shows up, gathers the Sages, frees Zelda and impales the Master’s sword deep into his heart. It was simply incomprehensible.
There was one way to permanently divide the Sages – he could send them into the afterlife. If he skipped the imprisonment of the Sages and went straight to their demise, he might have a better shot overall of defeating Link and taking his rightful place as King of all the world.
However…. He himself had been careless. He was quick to take control of his empire, yet even more swiftly did he watch as it crumbled to the ground. Well, why shouldn’t he simply take what is rightfully his? He is the most powerful being in all the land! Ganondorf, former King of the Gerudo, future King of the World! He should not have to exercise his infinite patience while the throne awaits him. It was absurd that a king should have to stalk around through the shadows in order to regain his throne. Even worse, should he resort to trickery and manipulation in order to retain his position as king? The Gerudo blood burned in his veins, screaming for the glory it deserved.
As he trudged through the smog-filled former-woodlands, Ganondorf had a thought about the destruction Majora had caused here in the forest. Majora had wiped out every last insect, every blade of grass. After the fact, he took to raising his minions and the reintegration of the Forest Temple. Even though at first, Majora’s actions had seemed erratic and pointless, Majora had done something which Ganondorf had never thought of before. It was a brilliant strategy, indeed. If only Ganondorf had thought of this before.
For a moment, he stopped and turned to look back through the smog. He couldn’t see anything but dead trees and purple air, but he knew he was looking in Majora’s direction. He could still sense the dark power radiating from it. Even the body it’d possessed was radiating with darkness. He’d seen it when they were conversing. However, he’d missed this little detail before. Majora did appear to have a strategy, after all. Its end was half-way complete at this point in time.
Of course, Ganondorf was never one to act on a small scale. Even if Majora had only planned to remain within the forest, he has still, in a way, aided Ganondorf by destroying the forest itself. Perhaps, for its unknowing service to his kingdom, he would spare Majora and the Kokiri Forest.... for last.
Ganondorf chuckled triumphantly to himself as he formulated his newest plan on the spot. No one would ever expect this, not from him. Even if they did, there was no way they could stop it, or even reverse the damage once it’d been done. With that, he channeled the flow of his power out through his legs and arms, throwing it down underneath him as he lifted into the air, leaving the forest to its decay below him.
....A new king is born.

"Yeah, you seem like a more bubbly romance type. Hm... But if you like darker books, try A History of Ganon. It's got some pretty dark content." Mary replied, not looking up from her book and flipping a page. "You wouldn't like this book though, it moves rather slowly, unfortunately. Still, it's a wonderful story, even if it was true."
Link blinked a few times. No sleep? Hm, in that case I guess its whatever floats his boat. He moved his hand behind his back, the other resting on the door jamb. "You are correct, but temptation is something you learn to resist over time. I could ask the same question to you. What if I'm letting the next King of Evil in my house myself?" He shut the door behind him. "I have my strengths, and I have power. But I've learned to use it only for good. Now while you stay awake for the next six hours, I'm going to sleep. Good night, Lucifer." Link nodded to him and entered his own room, shutting the door behind him and locking it. He slipped off his boots and other glove, pulling the other one of from his pocket and draping them on a shelf. Immediately he flopped onto the bed tiredly, and fell into a deep sleep.

Brooke giggled at the bubbly romance comment Mary had made. "To be honest, I am. But I like all genres pretty much, except the books that are mainly about drama. I'm not too much into those." She said, turning back around continuing to search the bookshelf for something that caught her eye. "Maybe I'll read a quick adventure book before heading to bed." She said to herself, reaching for a short story about two Hylians who searched the world looking for their long lost father. "This looks like a good one." Seeing this book had reminded her of her father and brother, and brought hack a couple of memories, both good and bad. Brooke walked to the bed Lydia had made for her and took a seat, opened the book, and began to read silently.

Lucifer debated stealing the triforce piece from Link in his sleep, but that would cause panic and suspicion, and he would lose his chance at getting at least three sub-force pieces. It was best to get them all when they were least expecting it. "I am certain the darkness will make sure they get something for compensation. Blint will be easy to fool. As if calling himself 'Destral' will help him change. He was weak enough to actually defend Ganondorf's actions without knowing the details."
Destral finally got tired of staring out the window and actually fell onto his side while sitting on the couch, almost asleep. Who was that person who claimed to know him? How much did he know? Hell, what was his NAME for the Goddesses' sake! Maybe if he knew it, that might help. But who did he know who knew him that was also on earth? He heard pretty much every fallen was no more. Who was left alive? Maybe it would come to him in the morning... He quickly fell asleep, but in his dream he only saw darkness.

"Nah. I'm good." Jesse stared at the walls admiring all the sketches and blinked in awe. She dared not to poke one with her finger lest it might fall to the floor. Jesse Arrowheart wasn't much one for organization, so the chaotic clutter on the walls made the small place feel more... homely.
"Geez. You're amazing. The only drawing I ever did, really, is on a tree stump somewhere along the many paths I've walked." Jesse scratched her head and smiled widely, showing slightly off-white teeth that were amazingly straight for one who didn't reside close to a town very often.

"Alrighty!" Teagan called from the kitchen, coming out a few seconds later with a piping hot cup of tea in her hands. The scent of cinnamon and vanilla soon filled the room. "Aww, thanks." She smiled, glancing up at a painting she did in watercolor. It was a girl kneeling by a wolf, and all around them the sky, the buildings, even the ground was melting into a mess of color. Her eyes snapped back onto her guest. "Just curious, what places have you visited so far?" She sat down on a couch, criss-crossing her legs and taking another sip of her tea. "Since I've got a job that involves a lot of shipping, I travel around quite a bit. Maybe our list of places and landmarks match up in some spots." Teagan didn't feel tired, oddly. Just calm and relaxed.

Jesse laughed. "I've been all over the place. Hyrule Castle, Kakariko Village..." She thought hard. "Hmmm... That village near the Water Temple. Zora's Domain... Oh, and where do the Gorons live? I've been there too." She paused, breathing in the scent of the tea, feeling a pang of grief. She kept her gaze on the drawings in front of her. "...and everywhere in between. I've been all over the place, so much that I forget the names of the places I've been." Jesse gazed at a particular picture that caught her eye.
It was a rose, dark and red like blood. It stood out from the background of different shades of blue melting together. She stared at it, surprised and awed. "I couldn't draw if someone held a knife to my throat. Definitely not like that." She turned and smiled at Teagan.

"Ah, I love Zora's Domain!" Teagan exclaimed. "It's so fun to go swimming there. And Hyrule Castle is rather fun too, I especially love the markets. Oh, the markets... My brother used to get me books from there when I was younger. They're all scattered around some shelves in here, now." She giggled, taking a swig of her drink, then looked inside and sloshed the remaining bit around, frowning. "Boo, almost out of tea. Anyway, thanks. Oh, and that rose piece? I tried acrylic paints with that one. It was going out of my comfort zone a little bit, because I prefer watercolors much more. I'm pretty happy with the result, though, so I can't complain." Teagan shrugged and finished off the tea, placing the cup on the coffee table in front, then dropped her hands in her lap. "Think of it this way, though. I couldn't sing if someone held a knife to my throat. Definitely not like you can."

"D'awww, thanks!" Jesse blushed and grinned at the same time. "My... mother taught me how to sing when I was younger..." Her voice faltered a little, but she tried to keep grinning. Despite her efforts, however, her eyes held a sad glimmer.
She turned back to the rose, admiring it. Knowing that it was a challenge for the painter made it that more beautiful to her. Challenges made everything that was okay without it into something great.
