After a false wake up call of sorts (from a family friend, Fr. Dennis) around 7:00 am and then having all sorts of trouble trying to get Mom's temporary handicap hang tags this afternoon (with a double dose of trouble from a very irate and not very helpful clerk to begin with), I am sooo ready for the weekend. sweatdrop I am very worn out and tired. My drawing for my pictoral journal (an assignment for art) didn't turn out quite as I had planned, but it did end up looking rather cool. 3nodding Nothing else to report from this neck of the woods. heart
EDIT! Oh yeah, failed to mention that I totally broke my speakers to my MP3 player (they plug in like headphones into the headphone jack and all). whee I saw part of them sticking out from under a pile of clothes and thought I'd just tug on them slightly to dislodge them, but then they snaped and then I felt the other end of the second speaker and tugged on it. Well, that end snaped, too. Finally I found the other speaker, but as you can tell I snaped the stupid speakers in 3! eek confused Guess I'll just be listening with headphones for a while. emo

I think I am going to be job hunting very shortly... something happened at work last night that finally crossed a line.
We have this regular who gets drunk a lot and tends to be a rude, loud jerk. He and his friends freaked out several guests last night who thought there was a domestic disturbance in house. the cops were called. While the fuzz were en route to my place of work (a hotel), one of the guests tried to take the law into his own hands. All I heard (I was on the phone reassuring another guest at the time) was something involving the intervening guest getting threatened, backed into a corner, grabbed, and having a girl tell him "B^tch I'l gonna kill you". The wife of the threatened man grabbed a gun from their room. The stories conflict if the gun was or was not pulled out of the holster.
Now, I don't know about the guest with the gun, because apparently we don't have a rule against guns sweatdrop BUT, the other guests were unruly and out of control, screaming, throwing fits, waking up several guests-- and were threatening other guests both verbally and physically. BUT when I called my manager to inform her of the situation she did NOT want me kicking out the instigators.
I am sorry, BUT, just because this regular is an influential guest does NOT entitle him to get away with this crap. If anyone else caused us to have to call the cops to the hotel you KNOW, they would be kicked out. My manager came in and when she talked to me I was honest and explained that I was concerned the one guest was getting preferential treatment because of his status. Besides, this particular guest gets drunk quite often and often causes problems. When I called him and informed him there had been a complaint the man threatened to have me fired. I'm sorry but- Homie don't play that. My manager said "Well he's never caused problems before, I didn't know he was that way when he drinks". She kept the man IN the HOTEL, thankfully the girl in the group who was screaming the loudest and grabbed the other guest was escorted off the property.

Hello lovely people!
I had a very looooong day at work - but I think it was fantastic.
In short, I've been working here for 2 years and I have two "bosses". Big boss (B1) and little boss (B2). B2 is my immediate boss...he's not so bossy, so getting any answer out of him is like getting blood out of stone, so I asked B1 for clarity in my position as it helps me know what I'm doing - and therefore I'll do a better job. B1 has offically given me ownership of a project - which B2 originally 'owned'. So, for a while, B2 was upset with me, until today, I sorted a heap of things out, handed him the "product" with two days left for him to present it to our partners....making him happy, as his role is now partner relations.
So..win win!
For now, at least! Hooray!

Hi guys, I'm so sorry I've not been around much, I've got a lot of stuff going on in my personal life right now, and am struggling a bit. I'll definitely try to spend some more time here when I'm able to feel a little more positive. It's just hard right now. sad

*rubs her forehead* I dunno why I'm on here with such a bad headache. I should really be resting my head. xp There are storms headin' my way which is why I have such a headache and lots of stress in my life right now. sweatdrop So if I don't show up for a long while you know that either the storms got to me or I'm just busy doing homework. xd So much fun around here...NOT! whee I'll try and write more when things calm down a bit. 3nodding Just thought I should post something before going to rest. heart

Merc has some good news!
I've been friends with my buddy Kris on the internet since we were like 12 years old. Well, after we got old enough, we had planned to visit each other. But every time we went to finalize our trips, something ALWAYS happened. The timing never did seem quite right. But this year he says he wants to come up and visit in May, and maybe it is hopeless optimism at a different age, but I really have a good feeling about this... Like, it doesn't feel like the other times we planned. So keep your fingers crossed for me as I'd LOVE nothing more than to finally hang out with my friend of 11 years face to face ^.^

Hi everyone! Did anyone miss me?! I'm sorry I was gone for almost a week I think now, but all the storms (a snow storm and a rain storm) have all passed -- I think, I hope! Anyway, I have a lot of homework to do, but I'm back for the most part. I just have to get caught up for my class on Wednesday and finish my pictorial journal for art class that is technically due Thursday, but I'm making it due tomorrow so I don't have to bring home my huge drawing pad tomorrow night. 3nodding I also have to make an alpha demo reel and finish my resume for career prep. Other than that, I think I'm ready to relax. Oh and I did change my avatar. blaugh Nothing else here; feel free to PM me or leave comments here or on my profile. Hooray! I had this afternoon off as my Aunt got married. As they're both 70 and had been married before (kids and grandkids were there!) it was a little ceremony with just close family with coffee cake afterwards. Still, it was lovely to see all the rellies!
