testy.. testy... says a mocking voice, drawing yer eyes up into a tree that sits next to the inn... ye see a splash of darkness, leather and hair... all as dark as yer fur.... which disappears as ye make contact and then reappears next to tam... the creature, taller than tam, but made of much the same cut, toes tam's side and laughs... a pair of soot black wings flow from it's shoulders and it's eyes glow eerily... blood red, but not threateningly... poor little brother... is the door home still closed... aren't ye tired of trying... aren't ye ready to join us now.....
tam growls low in his throat,,, give it a rest, bez... he sits up... sees the harp looks guiltily at kero and secrets it away in his cloak

my.. my... my... chuckles the dark stranger... ye got a loyal friend here... the man holds him up in the air and studies him close... a throwback i see... and venomous to boot.... how low have ye fallen, talesian... how low....
put him down... snarls tam surging to his feet... now... and begone... i want nothing to do with you... just go away, bez... please... begs tam pulling kero from his hands... he cradles the cub protectively to his chest and glares at the other....

bez laughs merrily, in a voice just as musical as tam's but which sends shivers down kero's spine.... well... my door is always open... when you're ready... you know where to find me... i wouldn't wait too long though... i might just change my mind and you wouldn't want that now would you... to be chained here for all eternity...
and he disappears in a flurry of feathers and soot....
tam sighs and buries his face in kero's fur... sorry, little one... ye did not need to see that... and i'm sorry i gave ye a scare, truly i am... it's just last night was a special night... one that happens only once every 10 or so years... and i... i had to try..... didn't work... never has... but i had to try anyway... i've been gone so long.....

and finds a scarf about his muzzle... tam looks a bit embarrassed and he sets the cub down so he can untie it.... sorry, he murmurs.. set spell... it goes off when ye get carried away... and i didn't tell ye because i didn't think i'd fall alseep ok... i had fully thought i'd be in bed by morning.... but the cry took more from me than i thought it would... each time i make it it gets harder and harder to perform.... forgive me? there are tears in tam's eyes as he kisses yer forehead, right on yer cresent moon
