Lucien laughed a little at her remarks he let his head fall back a little before he responded. "Hello, have we met? I'm Lucien and all I've done with my life the past 10 years is worry abotu what comes next." He looked at her and shook his head. "It's what I do, it's why I've gotten this far I constantly worry about what may be and how I can prevent the worst from happening, I wish I had a clairvoyance power then I could worry some more about what may happen." He was joking of course. He looked down and just smiled. "I wish things could go back to the way they once were, I wonder what our lives would be like if Che and Dante had never found us all. Would we be happy? Would we even still be alive? Who knows what if the opposite of what had happened happened? What if our group had been taken by Che and yours had been taken by Dante, maybe things would have gone over differently, probably not we would still be the same people, just with a different outlook."

Amara looked at Lucien as he spoke. She smiled lightly as she allowed him to speak. She knew there was hardly anything she could say to make Lucien relax. "I often wonder how I would have turned out if I was a Night OWL or if we were never found. I assume I would have been in foster care or in juvenille for murdering my aunt and unlce" she said. She then stood up as she looked at Lucien with a warm smile. "Well continue on Lucien...I guess I'll just go to bed soon" she said smiling in the door way and then backed out the doorway and down the hallway to the sleeping quarters. She grabbed a book off a shelf in the hallway and sat down as she began to read.

Intelligence took note of all abilities being used here and now to defend against Rage's attacks, a spell caster, multitasker, stargazer, and another shadow was among them "piece of cake right?" Arrogance's annoying voice carried through Intelligence's thoughts and she nodded irritably, "correct they are no match here in our realm of mind Arrogance, watch the body, i am going to pay them a visit" Intelligence replied vanishing with the shadows as she left arrogance to deal with the multitasking mutiant.

Arrogance sighed as she walked to Sydney's body and stared at the foreign controlled shadows that connected the unconscious herald to the man that could use more than one element. "why do you resist, you are in our territory now, No one can beat rage" she said grabbing the shadow as it took hold of the Crystal and jerked it back trying to pull Roulin in her direction.

Within the dome Demio's shadow warped suddenly and grew long scarf like trendals that reached over everyone's shoulders, in an attempt to trap them in place as Intelligence herself rose from the depths of Demios' shadow, "if you give up now, the chances of a quick and painless death will increase tenfold, the probabilities of your surviving this fight are slim to none"

Demios was caught off guard when Intelegence appeared from his shadow. He glared at her and quickly turned and held his glaive towards her. If she had control of shadows then he doubted he'd be able to strike her easily, still he knew that they had to try. "You think you're so powerful, yet you've destroyed all the balance in here why else would this world be so warped" He said. He glared at her "I'm not about to let you get away with hurting Sydney, not after she protected Genya and I" He said. He tried to move but found it difficult. Deciding he'd have to use magic he sighed and closed his eyes. Slowly a sphere of light formed at the end of the glaive that pointed at her "Forces of light and happiness hear my plight and give me the gift, the magic of light" He chanted. Suddenly the glaive let out several rays of white hot light that shot at intelegence. He just hoped it would be enough for anyone who was being held to brake free.

"If my father wasn't Che Presidimoni, I'd probably be tired of you already Arrogance." Roulin quipped while his body was flung forth by the Herald's betraying emotion. The jewel holding the true Sydney would be almost impossible to acquire like this and beating any one of the emotions would be more than tough thanks to the power boost from the environment. Along with that, all of his powers were diluted. After being thrown onto the alter, Roulin rolled to his feet, then took off for the emotion. If his powers were going to be slower and weaker, he may as well use them as parts of a close-range combination. The first attack was a sweep which was to make the emotion stumble if anything. The second attack, which was far stronger, and only moments slower was a flying double kick aimed solely for her chest and higher.

Rage watched the battle with growing enthusiasm. She watched Roulin and Arrogance duking it out. It honestly made her... angry, to say the least, that these outsiders were even trying to fight back against her. Didn't they know that she was one of the most powerful emotions within Sydney's mind? Apparently not, as she noticed Cecilia running straight for her with the chain whip raised and swishing down towards her. Rage let out a sort of animalistic growl and took a step to the right to avoid the slamming down whip. However, to Cecilia, it would look like she body in the red dress hadn't moved in time, but by the time the whip hit the floor with a clang of metal against stone, that image was gone. And Rage had rushed forward and grabbed hold of the whip with her left hand as close as she could next to Cecilia's own grip on the weapon. A swirling blood red shadow began to eat along the chain whip, basically causing it to deteriorate and decay in front of Cecilia's very eyes. With her other hand, Rage commanded three shadow hands to jump from the floor from Cecilia's own shadow to grab downwards towards the blue girl's head to force her to the floor in a crushing force. You will all regret trying to stand against me!"

Sadness had been about to black out from lack of whatever substance she breathed in Azarath when Nikolai came to her rescue. She had basically given up all hope by that point so she was shocked when someone came to save her. It was something she was not expecting. However, her moment of being saved was brief when Nikolai was slammed into his face by a large punching shadow hand. Her body fell through the air to the ground, but she did not cry out in pain or anything when landing. She was too weak both emotionally and physically (after being clutched by that hand earlier) to even force herself to her feet to avoid another hand reaching for her. But fortunately, Nikolai came to her rescue just in time again and carried her back to the entryway into the castle. After being set down to the floor, Sadness curled up into a ball on the floor, sitting up and wrapping her arms around her knees, looking very very helpless indeed. She heard what Nik said to her about the Emotion she represented being just as powerful as Rage's. She shook her head. "No. Though you may be right, I can't beat her. She's too powerful, Nikolai... I can't fight her..." she replied, somehow sounding loud enough to be heard over the fighting. "Happiness and I shouldn't have brought you here with your friends. It was all a big mistake." she said, tears falling down her face as she somehow managed to find some strength to get the her feet.

Even though Nikolai was cutting down hand after hand, there just even more to take their places. It was as if with every one he cut down, there were three more to replace it.

Cecilia struggled to withdraw her chain whip as it began to deteriorate beneath the blood red shadow. However, by the time she had managed to reclaim her weapon, half of it was gone. She wrapped what was left around her waist as it was now useless. It was clear that Rage was faster, stronger, and more powerful. Cecilia knew that winning would be very slim. However, before she could react again, three shadow hands were on top of her and had thrown her towards the floor causing the young blue Cosmic Owl to hit her head. A small trickle of blood seeped from her temple, but even with the pain she was feeling, she lifted her right hand towards Rage and struggled to create an aura of crushing and very dense gravity around the emotion in hopes to bring her to her knees and slow down her movements. If she could do that, then perhaps she would be able to launch a more successful attack. However, because her mutation was much more diluted in this world, she did not know how effective it would be.

Intelligence had predicted the boy would turn on her so she slowly steped back as he forced his staff in her direction, and sank into his shadow before he finished his spell, "to slow" Her voice reverberated through Demios's shield as the tendrils released their grip of her captives forced away temporarily as his light weaked the bonds slighly. "slow and painful death it is then, unfortunate for you, her voice faded as the dome was covered inside and out with the shadow like substance that cut off the supply of air for the characters.

Arrogance watched as Roulin struck the alter and stepped back as he came at her without a second though, Rather cheeky she said stepping back as he made for a low sweep to catch her off guard and she skiped slightly to avoid unprepared for the second attack that hit her in the chest just as the shadows shot up from underneath him and to grab try and grab him while he wasstill in the air. Arrogance coughed and smiled at Roulin, "im sorry pretty boy, is that all you got?" she asked as she made a pushing motion with her hands that would send him back into the alter "what minute hope could have given you all the idea that you had even the smallest chance of winning against Sydney's most powerful emotions?"

Roulin landed on his feet with grace following his attack on the emotion. He wore a grin that matched the smirk that Arrogance wore ever so proudly. Although he knew that his physical attacks may have not done much against the emotion in this world, but at least he managed to hit her. Just out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Cecilia bleeding...again. The trickle wasn't enough to beg his full attention, but the fact that she'd sustained such a wound was a bit jarring. At least she was on her feet and fighting again.

Just as Roulin's eyes returned to his opponent, his body was thrown back into the alter. His body crashed into the alter before rolling a distance. He sprang back to his feet, then arose coming for Arrogance. "How about you step into the real world and ask me that? C'mon, you're confident right?" He brought up shadow needles that he'd use to skewer the emotion.

Demios frowned as he watched her sink into the shadows before the spell could hit her. However, things managed to get worse as she made shadows cover the inside and outside of his dome. He knew it wouldn't be long before he was in an even worse situation. He sighed before quickly ending the dome and raised his weapon towards the shadows and swung it "Wind Blade" He said sending a sharp blast of wind from the glaive headed straight for the shadow like substance. He then rushed towards the substance and swung the glaive hoping to cut through it.

Chapter 3: From Us to You

(Alrighty, moving the Azarath sidequest to a flashback so that we can go on and so that it won't be completely skipped.

Anyway one week timeskip. The UNS is in South America, which has a civil war going on inside most of it, now but still in the groups they sepearated into. There's a UNS headquarters that everyone is supposed to meet up at. It's in a war-free part of the country. Lastly, The Night Owls are on their way to South America. Not there yet. The Fallen Phoenix and all the Herald's except for the ones who are defect, are in a now better, cleaner, more fuel efficient New Exire. Any questions, just pm me. mrgreen )

Roulin, following the failure that was the Skirmish in Azarath, sat on the luxury jet twiddling his thumbs in thought. He should've known better than to follow Nikolai into the world of whacked out Herald. The fight they put up was good, but it wasn't enough. Having more than just a few powers, Roulin let this thought weigh on him like a sack. He should've been able to at least stop Arrogance, but he was unable to. Disregarding the fact that his powers were more than just dumbed down in the different dimension, he sat in his plush, dark burgundy seat staring off into the evening sun. In one hand was a blob of shadow dripping onto the floor like hot tar. In the other was a cube of light that changed shapes each passing moment. One represented his ever changing mind, but the other represented his tired body. His healing power was becoming slower and slower nowadays. He could only hope that it wouldn't be all gone before they touched down in South America.

While barely managing to keep Fenn alive and Tel under control, Soliel had returned a week ago with the plans for Exire's battleship interior and instructions. Soliel, lacking the right, couldn't read the plans. Only someone with the right set of eyes could. It had to be Raven and no one else. If not her, then Roulin and his "Architect Eyes." Simple setback...nothing more. Standing against a newly built building that rivaled the beauty of the Empire State Building from which it was built shined with a light metallic luster. The shine, given from the plates of steel that covered the building, was the shine of the future. Most of the city was like this now. Chrome...shining...shimmering in the evening sun. Progress was being made finally. Soliel was more than proud. Thanks to the Herald's, much was being achieved in time increments the little magma owl wouldn't have thought possible.

Pushing off of the lustrous building, Soliel began to make his way to Raven's area. It was about time that he got to speak to her about the blueprints and how to bring this war to an end.

A week had passed since the battle in Azarath. Despite the fact that Cecilia and the others had fought a hard battle, it was not enough for them to win. Cecilia had sustained a few injuries, but they were not life-threatening. She had not needed Roulin to heal them as they would heal on their own without any complications. Now, they were on a luxury jet on their way to New York. Cecilia had chosen a few snacks for Roulin and herself and was on her way back to the seat. She wore a red top that showed off a small bit of cleavage without being too revealing, a pair of tight dark red jeans, black heeled boots, a heart shaped necklace, and matching earrings. As it would be warm in South America, she hadn't bothered wearing a jacket. Her long silver tresses hug to her waist in thick waves. As Cecilia approached Roulin, she noticed that he appeared to be in deep thought. "Got a lot on your mind?" she asked with a hint of concern tilting her head curiously as she held out one of the bags of peanuts and the soda towards him.

The time that Amara, Lucien and Vincent had spent in the mountains of Japan was wonderful. They got full relaxation and were able to train in a reasonable amount of time. Amara knew that the time would come when they had to leave. She was able to gain information about a civil war in South America and knew that the others would be there. She packed a few things as the trio were off to South America.

Amara had something to tell Lucien...but the timing didn't seem right,she would eventually. The flight (she flew with Vincent, Lucien could have as well or did the mist conversion) was long and tedious but they had finally arrived in South America. Amara still didn't feel comfortable here after she murdered so many people. "Lucien...I think other people will be arriving here...but I have an idea...how about we search for Che's deck....the others will more than likely try and get involved with the war" she told him.

Vincent didn't really want to leave Japan, but he knew that it was time to leave. The whole flight he played the game Will had given him. Once they landed he looked at Amara and Lucien, finally being proactive he smiled. "I think I can help...you two can look for the deck, and I can try and stop some of the riots that are going on around here" he told the two. "I promise, I'll be safe" he said with a smile.

Noel and company's time spent with Sebastian and Evelynn proved most fruitful, the team received special training as well as "luck" equipped weapons. Evelynn and Sebastian promised that they would be more involved and Noel wouldn't have it any other way. The flight was relaxing but Noel knew what she and her team had to do. "Okay everyone, there is a civil war here in South America. We will be in charge of saving people who are hurt and stopping OWLS from hurting humans...." she told them as the plane began to descend. "Only use your powers against humans when you have to...try any other method before relying on your abilities" she told all of them.

"Alright loves we're going to South America, we've been in hiding long enough, plus there is a civil war going on and I know the other teams will be in attendence as well" Jeannie told them. Gathering her things her, Amaya and Itachi headed towards the horse they had rode on. "Itachi be a dear and make this thing go fast, we have a schedule to maintain" she told them.

Elle listened to Noel as she spoke but she couldn't stop hearing this sound in her head. Why did she inject Evelynn...she knew it was wrong...but she knew out of instinct she had to. Before that week was over she injected Sebastian as well...she could feel them...their power. She didn't tell Erin because she knew Erin couldn't understand...not yet..it wasn't for her to understand yet. She knew who her next two targets would be....Amara and Jeannie...and before they would leave South America...she would do what she had to do.

(I think you missed to OOC Solaris. The teams should meet up before going off on their on accords. Strength in numbers and all of that. And until Raven receives her Oracle, you can't really access the area Che's deck is in.)

Timothy stood over Exire marveling at his work and the work of the other Heralds. Ember had melted down the steel they needed, Sabrina reinforced all the gravel and bedrock giving the newer buildings stability, Noah cooled the heated metal and the electric Herald himself designed as well as built a few of the shorter buildings alone. The building he constructed was to be the new Herald base. The large skyscraper which stole it's heading from the Chrysler Building stood three hundred fifty-six meters tall. He couldn't have done it without New Exire's man power and the forces of nature that decided to stay with him. The Herald, now ready to get inside from the cold, surged through the building's lightning rod and emerged from an outlet on the thirtieth floor. All floors up belong to him and his other elemental friends. Taking a seat on a rather coture couch, Timothy sparked the television causing it to flare to life. The news...the civil war in South America. Leaning back into the cozy embrace of the couch, the Herald mused tiredly to himself, "I'm going to have to speak with Raven today. Her and her little volcano friend."

~~~
Che had made himself at home in the UNS resort that he'd helped build ages ago. The interior was nothing new to him, but the clothes they had left out for him was something different. The staff still recognized him as that 'bushy haired guy who is trying to kill his son.' Theire condenscensions didn't faze the bushy haired guy. They hadn't seen the news, nor had they heard. And that was that. Pushing the thought into the back of his mind even further, Che took another bite into the apple he'd brought from a seller. It didn't look safe, but the Owl was hungry. Tad bit scared and anxious, but moreso hungry. At least now, in a UNS building, he could heal. Still though, just off in the horizon, people were fighting tooth an nail for freedom and dominance. The fighting had yet to pour over into the peaceful territories. Soon it would and everyone's job and purpose for being here will become clear. To protect everyone's interest and to negotiate peace between the two factions. The quicker that could be done, the quicker the war could be brought to an end.
Taking another bite of his apple, Che folded his dark brown cowl over his face and started back towards the UNS base leaving the towers of smoke to billow and ascend behind him.
Roulin hadn't noticed that Cecilia had approached until he finally looked at her. In her hands were peanuts and a soda. Grinning, he telekinetically accepted his food and beverage, but sat them down only to return his ideas. He tugged at the v-neck collar of his white, loose fitting t-shirt and coughed once to clear his throat. Gazing out the window still, he explained to Cecilia, "Nothing to major is on my mind now. Now besides finishing this fight and going home. The usual revolutionary stuff." With a whip of his finger, the bag of peanut's opened and to top of it fell to the floor like a leaf. "Thanks for the snacks Cecilia. And you look beautiful in that top." The seemingly saddened owl complemented his azure girlfriend. Making sure not to drop salt onto his baggy dark blue jeans, Roulin popped a peanut into his mouth. Hopefully the saltiness would twist his expression enough to conceal how he truly felt from Cecilia.
