The next morning finds both caves quiet except for snores and tiny playful squeals. Bez, wakes up slowly just in time to rescue Ari from falling off the bed. She and Mara are engaged in a bit of rough housing, cub style; and it appears that Mara has the upper hand. Tam is still out cold, which is odd, seeing as the girls are crawling all over her legs and paying her not one piece of mind. But he is breathing and although her throat is still rather sore, the head ache which had plagued her the night before has settled into a dull roar, rather than a volcanic eruption.

Deciding that he can live with the fact that Tam's ailments are echoing through his body, He separates the girls and carries them out to the kitchen, putting them in a pen that Tam has placed there to keep them from tumbling into the fire. Both of them immediately go at it again and Bez has to chuckle. It seems that though Ari is the smaller of the two, she can give as good as she gets. He shifts form and pulls a bit of goats milk out of the fridge and warms it, putting the heavy dish down in the center of the pen and waiting to see what the two cubs do.

Mara sees it first and bounds over to look at this new thing, coming to a halt at it's edge. Ari, not to be left out comes running over as well, but she forgets to put on the brakes and pushes Mara into the bowl head first. Now there is milk all over the floor of the pen and both cubs. But just as Bez reaches down to clean things up he notices that the gilrs are rapidly licking up any and all milk they find outside the bowl, which mean Ari is cleaning Mara and Mara is cleaning the spilled milk. Chuckling softly so as not to wake up Tam, Bez makes him a pot of tea and sits down with some bread and cheese to watch his favorite show in the universe... his two daughters learning about life and how to get along in it.

Bez looks up and offers to share his breakfast. "Not much, I'm afraid... I'm a plain person with plain tastes... doesn't help that in all this time, all I've ever learned how to do is char steak."

The pen is still a bit milky but the girls have finally learned that if they stick their heads in the milk that is in the bowl, they'll get more. Unfortunately, they also have their paws in the milk as well and it looks like Ari is aiming for a total immersion.

Bez nods at his reply and offers him a cup of tea instead. "I'm sure ye won't turn that down." he remarks pouring one before he even answers. "So how are ye feeling this morning? And is the kid okay. He didn't look too good yesterday when Em first put the two of ye to bed. Kind of a fool thing to do, iffin ye ask me, trying to out eat ye in ice cream."

Bez shakes his head in negation. "I've been told about it, but that's about it. And as I have no need to doubt Ai's words, let's just say it's phenomenal and leave it at that. That I can understand. No need to demonstrate any further. One of me fallen brothers is like that... he can eat anything and anyone under the table and then some... He's always hungry... always eating... and it's not always food he eats. I wasn't at all surprised when he kept right on falling stage by stage into the pits... most of us did. Only a few of us managed to hang onto this level of existence. Me, Verias, and one or two others. Verias and I are the only two who communicate though. Everyone else has kind of given up hope or gone the other way. Verias and I stay in touch because... well someone has to look out fer him. Him being mad and all."

Bez shakes his head. "No, can't say I do. Don't know much about the void at all. I've avoided so much up to now. I know Tam readily admits being more than a touch mad at times... but I guess I never did realize how close I came to that state myself... withdrawing as I did."

Bez smiles then laughs as both of the cubs wind up in the milk. "I see baths in the future... but they're having too much fun to stop them right now. And it's keeping them quiet and out of Ai's hair. She must be exhausted. Didn't even wake up this morning. Sleeping like a log, she is."

Bez lowers his eyes and shakes his head. "I lost that ability when I was kicked out... sorry. I sound like a frog during mating season and play even worse... trust me. It's not pretty. I do enjoy hearing others though. That much was allowed me. Some of us weren't even allowed that. That harp, did Ai make it? He was quite good at crafting at one time."
