(( Cha. xD Told you I had an idea for her mom and Kyle. Kinda icky if you think about it... ))
Blinded by her tears, Cherie really didn't care anymore. The cold was beginning to hurt, and it was getting hard to breathe, but some part of her told her she deserved it. All of a sudden, she heard someone shouting in front of her. She ignored it, but in a while, crashed directly into the owner of the voice.
A few seconds of contact told her that it was a man, and at that moment, she really didn't want to have anything to do with men. or women. Or anybody. She pushed away roughly and slipped, falling down, yelping as her warm body made contact with the icy ground. She screamed. Loud, piercing, angry. Frustrated. "******** YOU, KYLE SIERRA--" She heaved a sob. "AND ALL MEN!"

Almost falling over himself, Valiant somewhat slipped on the icy ground, though he cought himself before he toppled over. He had felt such remorse for this girly now, though he wasn't sure what was ailing her exactly. His thoughts, though, told him that that there was definantly something wrong with this 'Sierra' and 'Kyle' to make her hate all men for the moment.
Cautiously approaching her and offering Cherie his hand, he could see how destraught she truly was. Her eyes were spaces, almost pools of water, leaking streams down the contours of her face, and finally turning into waterfalls as they spattered against the cold, wet ground. "Cherie..." Valiant began in a voice that anyone could deem soothing to hear, "...I don't know what has just happened back at your house, but please. Follow me for a moment so that we can get you into a better environment. You can catch your death out here dressed in...not much."

((She's not gonna follow, being in a mood like this, so just drag her along. Be like, a father figure. xD Or whatever. She'll forgive you! <3))
Cherie ignored his hand, feeling horribly sorry for herself and hating all men. Valiant was a man, wasn't he? "Y-you're all j-jerks," she mumbled, between sobs. She figured she probably looked like a mess, smelt like a mess, and sounded like a mess, but she couldn't care less. The world was being unfair with her, and she was going to SHOW THEM all what she thought of them.
"Just leave me alone... I should just DIE in this ******** cold, anyways. Not like any of you care about me. Not like my own mother cares about me. Or my father." More tears ran down her face as she spoke, sobbing and breathing in a pained, hoarse voice. She was acutely aware of the sharp pain and numbness she was feeling from the cold. Her feet throbbed and she couldn't feel her toes, and she shivered as she wept.
((What a drama queen.))

((QUITE the drama queen...))
"Cherie...I don't know what just happened to you...but you could be at least mature about it," Valiant said before he knelt down next to her, placing his hand upon her frozen shoulder, "See you in a bit, Cherie." Mumbling a few words to himself and closing his eyes, a bolt of a pure, purple energy made an orbit around Valian't arm and entered Cherie's shoulder, instantaneously putting her into a deep sleep. Catching her before she fell, Valiant placed the upper part of her back over one arm and underneath her knee over the other. He easily stood up with her like that and began to walk in one direction, wondering where exactly the nearest hotel was.
Remembering that he saw one before he saw Cherie for the first time, he began to picture that place in his head, and soon enough, he appeared not one block away from the hotel, in an empty alleyway. Cherie, in his arms, felt rather light. She seemed undernourished to Valiant, though she seemed healthy from her personality.
Upon arrival at the hotel, Valiant set Cherie down at one of the chairs in the lobby and went up to the counter. He must've made an odd impression upon the clerk because he seemed to look rather oddly at Valiant, but quickly changed his features to the fake smile that goes along with the thought, "Hey, a customer, lemme' look like I'm happy to see him and maybe he'll buy the suite."
((Skipping the whole scene...just picure Val and the clerk bartering about a room and whether Val wanted the suite or not, with Val winning and renting out a cheap, but nice room using about the exact amount of money that he had))
Upon entering the already unlocked room because a janitor for the hotel was nice enough to help out, Valiant set Cherie onto the bed, as well as some extra clothes that they had at the hotel. They seemed like they'd fit Cherie, so Val requested them. Upon doing that, Valiant put the room key that was located on the oak dresser and placed it in his pocket.
Moving to the outside, he closed and locked the door to the room, awaiting Cherie to awaken. Since they were on the second story, Val leaned up against the railing with his hands gently grasping around the top. As he looked out into the horizon, the sun could be seen slowly coming up. The ground below looked to be a golden color as the light hit the snow.

((There's something to be said about roleplaying "waking up" two times in a storyline. @_@ Sorry if this is a bad post.))
"Mmm, strawberries..."
Cherie drooled in her sleep, imagining herself in a castle full of strawberry parfait and fresh, delicious--
The sun came up at just the right angle, and a shaft of light fell directly onto Cherie's face. Disconcerted, she woke up, flopped over, and groaned. The sheets smelled different. Where am I? She sat up groggily, squinting as she looked around. The Pinet Hotel!? What the-- She recognized the room layout all too well; it was the nicest hotel in Tine, and the only one she'd allow any man to take her to. She shook her head miserably. What have I gotten myself into now?
Placing a hand on her forehead, she tried hard to remember what had happened. After a moment of nothing, memories of the previous night came pouring into her head... Kyle and her mother, that other guy-Valiant-, the cold... Valiant must have brought me here. But how? I don't remember... She turned to her right, and noticed some clothes set out for her.
She frowned, then got up from the bed, gathering them to her. I suppose I might as well try to get decent-- She drew back a little, having forgotten the floor would be cold. She mincingly put her feet down again, not liking the cold at all. But where is that man? Scowling, she'd hoped he hadn't run off and left her here to pay the bill herself, as once was done sometime ago.

((It wasn't bad, and it gives be a bit of leeway for interpretation :3))
"Must be awake now," Valiant commented, turning his head to the side in an attempt to face the door. He had heard something along the lines of bed springs squeaking together and similar to that of metal poles rubbing alongeside one another. "I'd better check on her, see how she is after yesterday. Whatever had her anxious to leave must've been pretty bad," he had a final thought before approaching the door and knocking gently on it, careful not to be too loud to wake up the neighboring rooms and loud enough for Cherie to hear.
As he awaited Cherie to greet him at the door, Valiant had another thought cross his mind. Remembering the many referances and indications of taking people to hotels, he pondered silently upon how to approach the situation. He perhaps lost himself in thought by this time, having a rather blank and other-worldy looking stare.

Just as she was inspecting the bathroom amenities, Cherie heard the knock on the door. She looked around for a clock, and found a digital one on the bedside table. Bending over, she twisted it to face her; the red, flashing numbers read '7:30AM'. Groaning, she dumped the clothes onto the bed. "It must be housekeeping. And at a good time, too; the management has worsened since I've last been here... Need towels, body wash, toothbrush..." She rattled off a mental list to herself as she approached the door.
Neglecting to look through the peephole, Cherie undid the lock and flung the door wide open. She opened her mouth to start raining a hail of insults upon the supposed housekeeping staffperson, but shut it just as quickly when she saw Valiant standing there. She stared at him for a few moments; he seemed distracted and unperturbed at the strange situation. Both times that she had "fainted", or "fallen asleep", he had been there afterwards. Annoyance began to flare, but she smoothly tamed it.
She greeted him in the most civil tone she could muster: "Good morning, Mr. Valiant. Would you like to come in and explain yourself?"

((>____________________>....GWAFAW! XD))
"Why-er...." Valiant studdered out, coming abruptly back from the dimensions of his own mind, "Y-yes. I'll explain, right here if you want me to. This time, though, I'll explain everything I can to my knowlege. The part that I ask of you is to just listen, try to trust what I say, and never repeat this again."
Valiant still had that 'serious' look about him, even though he was slightly flustered by the sudden departure from thought. That was something that did indeed get the best of him this time, but he made a quick mental note to himself to not get lost in thought whenever you just knock on a door.
((Sorry for shortness, but I beleive that your character would make some sort of action here, no?))

((I think I'm in love with you. I just realized how many pages we've filled with roleplay. xD ))
Cherie looked at him for a while, trying to discern his expression. Did he mean what he was saying? Some hours ago he had been more than reluctant to, but now... Ahhh, don't think about it too much. If he wants to, let him. She stepped aside and let him come in, her eyes following him.
((Excuse me while I godmode and make your character enter.))
"Unless you're going to confess a crime to me," she chuckled, "I promise I won't repeat it." She locked the door after he entered and sauntered over to the bed, where the clothes still lay in a pile. She pushed them over a little, then sat down. "Sooo. What do you want to tell me?"

((Hmm...three pages...))
As he moved inside, he spied a small chair that rested next to the many cabinets that could be used to store many belongings in. As he took a seat, he though of how to approach the situation at hand and how to not freak Cherie out too much with what he had to say. "Well, I guess straightforward would be best," he thought to himself, taking quite a deep breath before beginning.
"Well, Cherie, I guess I should just be straight up about this. It would be best if you knew without some sort of encripted evidence or anything, so here it is. I...am a vampire, but with a few differences," he casually stated, moving up one side of his lip to reveal a fang for a second, but then dropping his lip back down. "For one difference, I do not suck blood, but rather, I give it out, 'donating' I think you call it. And for a second difference, I carry on a family trait that every generation has. We each have a unique ability of a 'blood affinity', or in other words, we prefer a type of blood, even myself. It's not like A and B types, but rather a significant trait of a person. Take loneliness for example, my blood affinity. You have much loneliness inside of you, so I have a natural attraction to you, but do not worry though, I do not bite unless the times are right and I'd absolutely need to. Oh, and another thing about this blood affinity of mine, I can literally 'suck' the loneliness from inside of most people, giving them a sort of happy sensation for a period of time, and allowing them to be at peace with themselves...though it didn't work on you when I bit you earlier." Before Valiant finished that last sentence, he looked at Cherie for a sign of anything. "Yes, I did bite you earlier, trying to give you a bit of relief, and that was all."

((I'm so sorry I took so long to reply; I've been so uninspired with all the homework and assignments I've been getting.. ><;; And so.. it's a little short. My Midterms are coming up too, so I've been stressing a little...))
Cherie was staring at Valiant with an odd look on her face; the expression was somewhere between utter disbelief and curiousity. "You...WHAT!?" Remaining seated, she continued to process everything he had said up to then with a strange look on her face. "You're not supposed to exist, you vampires... aren't you just fictional creatures in stories?" She raised a hand to her neck. "Your teeth are just those... Halloween costume things, aren't they?" Her eyes widened as she slowly began to panic.
"I don't believe you. I mean, I asked you to explain things, but I didn't think it'd be... this bizarre." Cherie almost hissed the words. She shook her head, growing a little breathless. "I'm not lonely at all... I have..." She was about to say 'Kyle', but she remembered what had happened. "...Melanie! She's my best friend! And I have my... mother..." Her voice trailed off a little. "Oh, and don't forget Damien and the gang of city boys I meet when I visit Father. I have friends!" Her voice grew shrill in protest and her gaze did not waver as she turned to look out the balcony window onto the rising sun.
Her hand neared the bitemark, and she felt cold inside as her hand ran over the scabs. "It can't be..."

((I've got the same problem...sorry for shortness and lack of anything...er...exciting.))
Noticing the amount of information that this girl was trying to process at one time, Valiant remained silent for a moment. It wasn't like him to be cruel or evil to any person or creature, including other normal vampires. "It...can be," he began to reply in an apathetic tone, figuring it's been long enough, "I had tried to help you earlier, but you seem to have fallen so deeply into this state that even I cannot bring you back from it." With his head down, feeling like the worst 'person' to ever live at that moment for performing such an undescribable ritual upon another being, Valiant awaited any sort of pain to come, or whatever punishment he would deserve from Cherie. It was, after all, what he had done, so he knew that he must live up to his own actions. "There's no escaping what you've done, no matter how hard you try. Your guilt will always remain true enough and will find you no matter where you try to hide no matter what," were his thoughts about that; the rest was up to Cherie.

Cherie had no idea what to say. Her hand closed over the bitemark, and she ran her fingers over it several times, feeling the smoothness, then the rough scab, then smoothness again. Back and forth, back and forth, until she remembered Valiant was in the room. "Fallen so deeply," she murmured,"Into this state? What... what do you mean?" She began to feel a little cold and uncomfortable, her anger giving way to fear. Looking up, she saw his head was down, as if trying to offer an apology. "Why are you trying to fix me? There's nothing wrong..." Even as she said the words, a few memories of her loneliness flooded back, and she caught herself.

(( I'm sooorry! D: ))
Amber's eyebrows raised in suprise at his reaction to her question. She hadn't expected him to act so strangly. Why would she? "Well, yeah." She replied with a shrug, looking slightly embarassed now. "I'll be seeing a lot of you now, won't I? I may as well know a bit about yourself." As she listened, Amber was becoming increasingly regretful for asking the question in the first place. His parents had ditched him when he was only six years old? How awful. She wrinkled her brow, but didn't say anything. She wasn't about to interrupt him. "That's quite a long time to be 'sick,' don't you think?" What sort of sickness would last that long and almost completely wipe out his memory between then and now? She couldn't think of much that would, and none of it sounded good. When he was finished talking, she brought both of her legs up to rest on the tree branch she sat on and folded her arms on her knees. She'd caught the sarcasm, so she wouldn't take offence. That didn't mean that she wouldn't say anything about it. "Babysit me until the day I die? That's quite a while, don't you think?" She paused. "Ok, I'm not complaining or anything, but why exactly was I picked to have you as a gardian? And who was responsible for all of this, anyway?"
