"I see." Ione murmured, glancing fleetingly at the other slaves direction before turning her gaze away once more. "Maybe he'll get out of here soon. Those twins seemed pretty interested in him when I arrived- From what I could tell, at least. Based on how they hold themselves, being called a coward might cause them to actually get him for the challenge. Of course, I know little about them other than what I observe, so.." The girl loosened her clutched on the icy bars, her surprise from the slave's outburst finally starting to melt away.

At his question, Ione paused, trying to find the right way to word her question. "Mister Zhin, do you even desire to be bought?" She had intended to avoid any terms that had to do with purchasing, since she didn't wish to offend him, but couldn't figure out any alternative ways to state her question. After all, even if she could find and accurate way, both would still know the real meaning. "I'm sure that some would rather stay here than be dragged off by someone they hardly know, so I was just wondering."

Zhin almost laughed, though withheld himself for courtesy's sake. "Stubbornness can last for a while, but in the end, everyone wants out. I don't doubt you could see the eagerness in that man's face as he left. He seemed happy, didn't he?" He sighed, running a hand through his long silver tresses. He looked straight into Ione's eyes, no doubt in his answer. "I'd give anything to get out of this place, Ione. Even though these ribbons are on me afterward, these bars take away your life. Freedom, even if only the freedom to walk outside again, is more amazing than you could ever imagine..."

His mind wandered at that moment, thinking back to before he was captured. True, he'd been turned into a Vampire only a bit before he was taken, but it'd been almost an entire year he'd been kept in his cell.

He shivered, shaking the thoughts of lonliness from his mind, though he couldn't hide it from his eyes. He looked back up and smiled, slightly shy, like a child meeting a new friend.

's**t!' It was the only thought that ran through his mind as he was berated with attack after attack. Summoning his mental strength, he pushed out the walls, of the crushing barrier, freeing himself of the pressure. No sooner had he done this then a few balls of fire blasted up against him, sending him into a smoldering spin to land on his stomach ten feet away.

Belazerith gasped, rolling over and clutching his side as he pushed to his feet. 'This is turning out better than I had hoped...Perhaps too good...' Gritting his teeth as Alex came closer, he pushed both hands out in front of him, muttering something indecypherable under his breath. An enourmous wave of water errupted from both palms, spiralling at his oncoming opponant. 'This'll get him...'

"********!" Alex swore loudly. He hastily put up a weak barrier, hoping it would provide some sort of solice from the berating force of the water. Soon after erecting the barrier, it came crashing down, the water not long after. All Alex could do was hold his arms over his head while he got hit, head-on with the full force of the water. He got pounded into the ground, gritting his teeth against the amazing force that the water was having on him. He got forced at least six inches into the sand. WIth the last of his power, he split the water down the middle, effectively directing the water away from him, before he lost consiousness.

Indeed, the man's expression had held nothing short of relief and joy. To be freed was a slave's greatest wish, no doubt. For them, the very sunlight that most people took for granted was like heaven. Green eyes softened at his words, expression that of both interest and understanding. Though she would never fully experience the depth of his words, due to the fact she'll most likely never experience such hardships, Ione knew well enough what it was like to yearn for freedom.

Ione took a step away from the cell, almost as if she were going to walk away, but soon fell into a slight bow. "Mister Zhin, I'd like to humbly request that you come home with me." It wasn't an order or a demand, merely a sincere statement, her gaze lingering on the floor. She had always been taught to hold herself proudly, never to lower herself and bow unless the person deserved it. In the sorceress' personal opinion, respect was needed at the moment just as much as it would be if she were speaking to one of her father's influential acquaintances.

"I can't grant you complete freedom, nor the guarentee that I'll be a very good mistress, but I'll try my best. The work wouldn't be that hard, I don't think, and I'll make sure my brothers don't bother you or anything so..." A sheepish smile danced across her lips though it couldn't be seen in her current position.

Similarly emerald eyes looked back into her own for a moment with a smile, before Zhin blinked as she backed away and bowed, speaking to him. It wasn't a command. It was as if she was asking a friend to come with her or something. He blinked again, then slowly came to realize what she was offering; Freedom. Freedom from the cage in which he resided everyday. Freedom to a life where he could see the sky. Freedom to live.

Zhin's eyes welled up slightly, himself barely managing to hold back his tears. The smile on his face was genuin, the happiest smile one would ever witness, though Ione was bent over at the moment in a bow. Slowly, he reached out his hand, sliding it between the bars carefully. His fingers gently took hold of Ione's chin, lifting it lightly so that his shimmering eyes connected with hers. "It would be an honor, Mistress Ione." His voice came still as calmly as it had before, but his eyes betrayed his true happiness as unshed tears of joy stayed welled in his eyes. "And please...Don't look at the ground...It makes me feel weird." he said with a small, choked laugh, quoting her own words from a little while back.

Belazerith sighed, flexing his hand back and forth painfully. "Well...He's the first to actually hurt me...And survive at that..." he mused, striding over to take a look at the damage. "And only getting knocked out at that...Mmm..." Shaking his head, almost happily, he lifted Alex onto his shoulder, carrying him back to the mannor to be placed in his own chambers, leaving the black ribbon to be blown away in the wind.

Alex slowly came to. His eyes fluttered open, revealing to him a room that he had not been in. He sat up, and immediately placed his palm to his forehead. I think I overused my powers, I have a splitting headache. Alex thought, his eyes closed to try and reduce the pain. He opened his eyes again, the pain already rapidly going away. He looked around the room, before noticing Belazerith. "I guess I lost, eh?" Alex joked.

((Thanks for inviting me Bittersweet. Oh, and Alex, when'd you join? Nice to see you in the guild though, didn't expect that one sweatdrop ))

"I may have reason to live; to see another day, but everyone has that devine right. Yu have just as much meaning as mine, because some things that I have seen in war, and even done, I would not consider heroic, but more cowardice." He turned slightly to face Celia directly, his lifeless, green eyes staring directly into her crimson ones. "You have meaning, I can see it in your eyes. You have experienced far worse things than I have and you have lived through it all. If it would be me or you, I'd choose to die if it meant that you could live. You are still young and have a complete purpose, though that may not be clear to you as of yet. Know this though, you can choose what you want to do with your life as soon as you are out of here."

Avio turned to another person in a different cell for a moment. There was a person there who looked oddly disturbed or disguisted at something. It was a possability that it was his conversation that he had been having with Celia, or it could be this damned place altogether. "Erm, miss? I hope that I haven't been bothering you with all of this. I know I've been selfish here and I'm sorry for that. You won't have to hear from me much longer and possably never again if you don't want me here at all," he said to a woman whom had very beautiful long hair and looked stangely like a journalist. ((*cough* Bittersweet *cough*))

((Sorry I have been gone so long, I was camping.Right now I regret it though I am so sunburnt its not even funny.))

~Celia looked into Avios eyes~"What I have been through is not much, sure I have been a slave since I was 9 but I believe if I hadn't been I wouldn't be who I am now.I know I'm not perfect I mean noone is, I guess you could say I like myself.I have done nothing to make my life worth living. For the past 6years I have done what other people have told me too, sure I didn't always listen but just look where it got me.I ended up here, at least for now.I guess I have gotten used to this way of life, I may not like it but what other choice do I have?"~Celia stopped because she felt as though she was going on about nothing.~

((This is sad how I ended up waking up four hours early for work. It's not my alarm, but me. Went to sleep way too early gonk . Needless to say, I'm back on my feet. 3nodding . Oh and Illicit, you realize that you're no longer a Freshman, right?))

Avio turned himself and his attention back to Celia as soon as her small speach started. He waited during that time, trying to soak up every bit of it that he could. "But during that time, haven't you realized what you've had to do in your life? Every single bit of torture, pain, and cruel, meaningless tasks that your previous masters have sent you through; I'm sure that you've seen and performed things that I know that I could and would never do; not for anyone. It takes someone very strong to be able to accomplish what you've gone through for six years and still have both a heart and soul still intact," Avio stated, closing his eyes once more. His voices had a sudden change to it and it had become rather cold and heartless for a split second; like it had no emotion behind it at all, "You, Celia, have strength that I could never even grasp," his voice changed again, this time to a more serious tone, "You are here talking to me as if you were never a slave, but a person. You speak what it is on your mind to me and are not completely submissive to what I say. Though you have clearly stated that what you have been through is 'not that much', I still believe that you have been through a lot more than what you think." Avio opened his eyes again. They were the same, emerald and lifeless, but had something else behind them; something had been rekindled in his life. Avio wasn't really sure what this feeling really was; it could have been anything. Suddenly, as if by magic, three bars crumbled to the ground. "Now that's convenient..." Avio stated, looking up at the ceiling to see if he could spot what triggered that sort of reaction. He saw nothing at all.

((I hate it when I have something major to type about...I type too much then gonk ))

Ione's sheepish disposition remained even as she was made to look up, as if she suspected that perhaps he'd turn down her offer. Naturally, the woman wouldn't have pressed the issue if he had, nor would she have openly showed her disappointment. However, even before he spoke Ione could tell from the gleam in his eyes that she was not about to be refused.

"The honor's all mine, I'm sure." She replied, doing her absolute best to hide her own excitement as she peered warmly up at him. An amused chuckle escaped her rosy lips at his remark, her own words said back to her reminding her that she had done just what she had been so insistent he not. Smiling warmly up at him, Ione moved to promptly complete the transaction, now that she had gotten his permission.

Though the cell was nearly impossible for a slave to open on their own, the slim gate-like door swung open rather easily once the needed money was placed inside. Stepping aside as it open to give him room to come out, Ione took a few steps up the hallway before waiting for him.

Zhin's hand pulled back as the gate was opened, the bars that had held him in for so long. He blinked, as if he thought it was an illusion that would go away, yet it remained. Tentatively, he took a step forward, moving beyond the cage boundaries slowly. The welling in his eyes had all but stopped, replaced by nervousness, though a pleasant kind. His pupils retracted to mere slits as the light hit his eyes, not having to shield them yet.

Walking slowly to Ione, he smiled, this time taking on the sheepish look. "I think that's about the furthest I've walked in quite a while..." he said, distractedly running a hand through his silver hair. He looked around, some cages empty, though some not, still holding slaves. His eyes sadened, casting around upon the helpless souls, just as he had been. Some he knew, some he didn't, but at one point or another, he'd slipped into each of their minds, getting to know them as a pasttime.

To his left lay a young girl who'd been stripped from her parents as payment long ago, and had been sitting in her cell for three years. To his right sat a seemingly older man, his head in his hands. Despite his looks, he was actually only twenty-three, having been tortured nearly to death, his rate of growth been sped up.

Zhin shook his head, then looked back to Ione with a small smile. He waited, looking Ione in the eye as she'd instructed him to. His mind wandered to his clothes though, having been worn and torn over the past year, not getting washed or anything at all. "I appologise for my current dress...And I suppose for my own condition. I'm sure I don't exactly smell like fresh-cut flowers..." he said with an appologetic look.

Belazerith smirked, pushing himself off of the wall he had been leaning against. He had brought Alex to the guest room to rest. "That was a fast recovery. It's only been about two hours now." he laughed, walking to a dresser and taking a platter from it. He brought it to Alex, setting it down beside the bed. "Go ahead and eat. I'm sure that the cell you were in didn't have the greatest food. I thought you'd appreciate some lunch." On the platter sat a glass full of crystal clear water and a small plate of various sandwhiches.

"Sorry about the food, the cook was just finishing making lunch when I popped in to inquire about it. But feel free to eat. And don't worry about etiquet." he laughed, strolling to the wall to lean again. "So...You're more powerful than I'd percieved. No one's been able to do anything near this before." He raised his arm, exposing a large burn hole in his shirt, as well as a bad burn in his flesh. "Quite a good use of pyrokinesis in combination with psychokinesis...I must say, I've only truly mastered Hyrdokinesis, and I'm currently working on my other elemental abilities. Any chance you'd like to trade off? I can teach you about Hydrokinesis if you'd like to teach me your Pyrokinesis." Belazerith's eyes sparkled as he thought of learning a new technique. He spoke as if he was talking to an aquaintance, not a slave. 'I think he holds great potential...'

"Two hours? Wow, that is a long time." Alex said. I must have really over-used my powers. He shook his head, finally getting rid of the splitting headache. He looked at the food as it was brought over. "Well, all I can say is that it is better than crusty bread." Alex said, without a hint of sarcasm.

Alex looked at the burn mark on Belazerith. I did that? Well, I guess that is pretty good for being a little rusty. Alex looked to Belazerith. He wants to learn pyrokinesis? "Well, I can tell you that I'm not the best of teachers, but I'll do my best. Hydrokinesis would be an interesting ability to learn, I've already thought of how I could use it in battle." Alex said, grinning a little. "I guess it's a deal then, pyrokinesis for hydrokinesis." Alex said, smiling. He was starting to like it here, and his new master had already earned some respect. It was quite quick for Alex to trust someone this fast, but it was partly due to the fact that Belazerith was a telepath, the same as him.
