Hey.. My name is Autumn, and I'm currently only in 9th grade. I've just begun to take Geometry, with no background with Physics. I'm here to hopefully learn as much as possible, and start to quench my thirst for knowledge, especially in the region of mathematics. I happen to absolutely love that subject, but since I go to a small town school and have been put in classes where some people learn at a slower rate, I don't get to learn nearly as much as I'd like in a year. Since that's been going on since I started taking math classes, and always with loud people, it's been a bit difficult... I know I'm not even close to most of your levels of intelligence, so please be patient with me.

Okay hi. My name is cody. I'm 17 turning 18 on halloween though.
My thirst for physics began when I started 6th grade.
Though after 9th grade A+ student. Anyways I became a cocaine addict, and decided to run away to New york, etc etc.
Physics is what got me to quit the drug addiction and pursue a career in it. (I was always amazed at it when I was high lool ._. wink .
Been clean for three years now, starting school again. Physics is my love and mathematics heart

Hullo! Let's see... I'm Julri, a highschooler. I'm currently in a pre-calculus class and I plan to take physics over the summer. While I'm very fond of science, math is my real area of interest. I think it was the geometry class I took a few years ago that made me realize how awesome math can be. Anywho, I just hope the stuff in this guild doesn't end up going over my head.
And if it does, I'll just get a ladder, so that all of that mathematical knowledge will hit me squarly in the face, drenching me in polynomials and square roots.

Hi, I'm Pton, and although I'm only going to college next year, I'm taking calculus and physics next semester. ^^
I hope to get a major in astrophysics, and I think here is a good place to learn stuff about it. ^^; I'm really looking forward to learning, but I hope it doesn't go over my head too much. razz

i LOVE math. seriously. i'd marry an integral if i could.
i'm a college senior (whew!). . about to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. i have the most fortunate honor of studying under one of the country's most brilliant mathematicians.. with any luck, i'll be teaching high school mathematics in the next year or so..
outside of academia, i'm a single mom and i love to enjoy and produce art.. i'm probably one of the happiest (and blessed // lucky) girls you'll ever meet smile i disappeared from Gaia for about 3.5 years.. and returned about 2 weeks ago.. i'm not quite into the swing of things around here anymore.. nor do i REALLY have time for it. but that's okay. we'll see where i can go from here! smile

Hi,
I'm Casey. I'm a senior at San Francisco State, majoring in Philosophy and Political Science. I got interested in Math and Physics again, I used to love math, after taking formal logic. I picked up Feynman's lectures on physics and then realized I needed to learn some calc, which I hadn't taken before, so now I'm in the middle of teaching myself calc while taking 19 units of philosophy.

I'm mathmad undergrad. I'm good at physics but terrible at numbers, thats why i'm in maths.
I like to discover how much of our knoldage isnt necesary for understanding the basic concepts of the universe and reality we think we live in.

Hey all!! I'm Floatey, and I'm basically essence of math/science nerd.
I'm a High School Senior taking AP physics B, last year I took regular physics A. I'd love to take calculus-based physics, for which many people call me crazy, but unfortunately, it is not offered at my school. That's what college is for, right?
I also love math, that's actually my passion, and from that come physics. I'm currently doing independent-study Calculus BC. I took AB last year, and there's nothing left, so....I'm teaching myself! Hopefully it'll work, we'll see.
I'm also really into astronomy, so for a long time I wanted to be an astrophysicist, but now I'm not sure. I'd like to be a math teacher/professor, or work for NASA doing something unknown, or both. I want to major in Mathematics and minor or double major in physics in college, then go and get a masters in...something. Mucho debt for Floatey!! Oh well, at least I'll like what I'm doing for a living.
So...that's me! I look forward to joining the ranks of all you geniuses and learning loads of new stuff.

Hey, I'm HotPants. I'm an applied math undergrad with interests that mostly lie in Neuroscience. Generally, I like anything that includes applied math. Some of the cool fields that I've worked with: Molecular Dynamics, Physical Chemistry, Bioinformatics, General Statistics, and some computer programming of cognitive responses.

Hey, everyone ^_^ My name is spider_desu. My real name is not necessary for me to share my opinions and knowledge, although to satisfy curiosity I shall put forth "Steven" (surnames eternally secret ^_~)
My largest interest in this guild will most certainly be mathematics. No offense to the physics junkies, but I simply find physics in most cases to be too simple or at least tedious >.< Not to mention I'm currently in a retarded "advanced physics" class where we spent 2 months learning that the force of static friction is an inequality and not an equation.
In honesty- quantum physics and other modern fields don't interest me. Mainly because they seem to be mostly speculation and any opinions held by or lessons offered by people on a teen hangout forum are going to no doubt be whatever was read on the topic (written by the most recent guesser) as opposed to the input of an actual genius in the field.
One thing I love is tricks for performing math very quickly. Or tricks for figuring out math that otherwise would take a very very long time. One of my favorite math puzzles involved many uses of such a trick. You're given a simple division problem (long division is drawn out, with digits dropping down and subtraction and whatnot). The problem is- all of the digits are replaced by X's except for one. Based on rules and patterns you have to find all the other digits.
I'm looking forward to fun conversations ^_^ I must apologize if I miss out on anything or can't get on for a few days. I have a very (very) busy schedule >.< Especially when school starts back I'll barely be online. As is I shouldn't be on right now. I merely noticed I was accepted and wanted to introduce myself before getting off.

Hi, I'm Shebakune! You can call me Sheba for short. Background...hmm. Well, I'm an oddball. I have no idea what job I want when I get out of high school- currently a sophmore- but I'm good at math, organization, following directions, and would like an office job. I also love personal fitness, got biceps and abs; I'm happy. My goal in life is to be a stay-at-home mom.
I think that's enough about me, onto MATH. I've got two math classes this year and they are both year long and last class of the day. (We have this A day, B day schedule thing at my school.) I love them both. I'm the kind of person who would draw a shape, put x values and parallel lines and equations all over it. And then solve it as a proof. sweatdrop Yeah, a bit odd I know. Sudoku is something I like to do also; numbers gallor. I'm quite the thrifty person and am always checking my recipts to see how much I spent. When the family goes out to dinner I always ask for the bill to see how much we spent. It gets me used to the figures and I learn how we spend what we spend.
I think that covers everything. Well, if you want to know more about me personally, here we go. I'm a Sophmore in High School, computer addict, I don't regularly watch TV, I don't regularly play video games, I like to read, I'm a writer, I'm an artist, I'm an Organization XIII fan, I'm a Girl Schout, I like mangas, and I'm a silver fox. *Gets stared at funny for last comment* What? The only reason I don't have silver ears and a tail here is because they don't have those items yet. I hope they will soon. But if you look at my IMVU avi and the fursona I draw, I'm a silver kitsune.

Hello~
My name's Kendall, but most people call me Spiff or Pippy on Gaia. I'm in ninth grade and taking Living Environment as my advanced science (Chemistry in tenth, then Physics in eleventh). I'm also in Math B, which is basically tenth grade math.
I have absolutely no experience in physics, advanced scientific formulas, or cosmology, but I adore the subject. I often waste away hours at the library or on the computer researching things about black holes, the information of which has captured my attention since I was twelve. I plan on specializing in black holes and the other mysterious formations in space when I become a cosmologist.
I'm a pretty laid-back guy -- always making jokes. I ask a lot of questions, so I can be kind of annoying. :B
