Having moved from his perch above the Hokage's office at the Senshichojo far above the village due to a hurried JUEI agent, Masato was given a very brief description of the events occurring while training and reflecting on the months of training with Akaran. A usurper? Masato found this exciting, exhilarating. It had been a while since there was real action. As he glared down at the Hokage's office below he would activate his Sharingan and immediately recognize several chakra signatures. He donned Kurama's Nine Tailed Sage Mode as he prepared himself. " C'mon Whis-" he started before his abilities being heightened revealed who was below. " Sadayo!" He growled as his eyes seemed to brighten in rage. The voice inside him grumbled " Let's go, Fool."
Those with sensory abilities would first perceive the overwhelming amount of chakra that was nearly igniting the air as the atmosphere trembled from the incarnate of wrath that rocketed toward the office like a missile from above. Without further notice, the shirtless herculean champion of Kurama appeared by bursting through the ceiling, eyes glowing hot crimson with a flower petal pattern fixated on Sumika floating outside the window, his skin glowing with a bright fiery orange with black marks formed all over his body that highlighted his features. The Mangekyo Sharingan which was glowing had detected the formation of chakra as he traveled to the rescue, recognizing the gathering of a tremendous strength gathering by Sadayo's opponent. An explosion of concussive force dispersed the air around the immediate area as his Mangekyo utilized chakra into the space that the Iron Sand World Order would form, negating the creation of the technique before it would form. Masato stood only inches before Sadayo and slightly to the left. His right arm raised to separate Sadayo from Sumika. " Stay the hell away..." His eyes enlarged as his expression took on the ferocious fox like expressions. " FROM MY SADAYO" the voices of Kurama and Masato seemed to resonate and intertwine as he readied for the deafening roar that was released with the statement. The entire area inside and the area surrounding the office would be filled with the thunderous voice of the Jinchuriki, the frightening display would cause all who stood before him and heard his mighty roar to feel weak and feeble before the Kyuubi Host." The following chunk of Sadayo’s post is retroactively delivered BEFORE advisor Masato makes his appearance.
She could feel it. Not like a sensor, no, Sadayo didn’t have anything attuned to honing in on the trouble. Like the sense of something bad was going to happen outside her slapdash body shield. She couldn’t hear Sumika smashing the window and bailing outside but Sadayo could still see through the void. In the room below where the scroll had fallen was a puppet Sadayo hadn’t yet brought into play. Like a snake waiting to strike its prey, Tsuchinoko was secured on the other ends of the puppeteer’s strings. She anticipated a showy, loud debut in case the situation became dicey (and it did). If a squadron of Juei agents, outsmarting tricks or deploying generally innocuous, annoying tactics weren’t effective to drive the message across “to leave” then apparently force could be the ticket. Sumika was seeming to have no remorse for playing hardball, turning off the lights, flipping on the heavy offense with real, potentially adverse tactics. Sticky foam to hold down the rat (and almost Sumika) wouldn’t have killed them but set them in place for a good ear chewing to get the memo across. Attempting to make them ill, however, would come with a generous session of treatment. Turning out the lights was when things escalated. Sumika's attempt to entomb the Juei Director in a room of metal was where Sadayo drew the line of playing nice. She had something to say first but wasn’t going to dare sacrifice her safety in the samurai’s body.
In consequence, the long, hulking puppet with bright yellow pincher-like jaws knocked out the window of the room below and met Sumika outside. Sadayo’s dedication and attention stings kept the 20-foot long beast balanced from the broken window. Tsuchinoko had its face narrowed upward toward the owl the best Sadayo could angle. Her knowledge of this building had to come in handy somehow. Like speaking through a tunnel, Sadayo voice resounded like she was presently taking a puppet’s from. Her voice was carried just through the channel of strings. Nothing vibrant like an illusion to make force the suggestion she was truly under this new puppet. “You have insulted the operations of this village,” she chides and assumes a harsh tone that broke her stoic face (fortunately she was tucked away behind her scowling puppet). “You have assaulted the office of Hokage and assaulted order! One lackluster idea of yours could put the lives of innocent people in danger,” the images of her brief experience against Shukaku flickered in and out of mind and she only spoke louder. Her hearing hadn’t returned yet. “An actual shadow in her own village wouldn’t terrorize her people in a childish tantrum! I am the chief of Police, the head of the special operation division, as of fewer than ten minutes ago, I stand on common ground with the Hokage! If you continue, harm me, or anyone else in this village, my people will load your head and name down with a bounty so you can never rest again on this continent until I have you imprisoned."
Naturally, crossing the head of police would stir consequence. Didn’t even need to be Sumika to temp a bounty. Sadayo was acting now as the heads of three authoritative pillars in the village and prime objects of Sunika's discontent. As she was, however, Sadayo was becoming the authority that could control someone’s titular standing in the village. Assuming everything under this reality was frightening and something she didn’t think would happen. But declarations and orders couldn't be made with the same impulsiveness as attempting to remove someone from the office was. Unless she wanted to create a threat and enemy, Sadayo must make her decisions outside her criticism carefully.
“Were you born with too much metal in your body and not enough brain matter to stop and consider what position the desk and chair came with? You weRen't actually after the position of a kage? WeRE you? Your precious DNA alone isn't going to make you qualified to process assignments, budget village resources and being the hand who wards off starvation for families after a mistake costs someone life on the field of battle!"
She inhaled. Exhaled. Unsteady. "Just one of the many fine responsibilities you'd be expected of by the villagers," she said mockingly. Granted, Sadayo couldn’t hear the creative title Sumika was pursuing and recalls how the Juei agent was sent to find her. If she was correct in thinking the agents ordered that all the Advisors were informed then Sumika probably had one more hurdle to jump if Sadayo failed. If she was lucky. Behind Nirami, Sadayo was free to shake her head with a smile curling. How could she forget? Her amusement trickling through the Tsuchinoko puppet, "if you don't upset the village's ultimate weapon first, that is." Lahlil did have the Beast in her back pocket next to the Spook.

Meanwhile, in the office room, whatever Sadayo was anticipating from Sumika’s defiance as she avoided the wide spray that would’ve encapsulated most of the room. What’s happening? She shook the strings to find nothing hindering her weapons. Feeling nothing holding back the puppets was far from what she was expecting at this rate. Then from the interior Sadayo felt the paneling of Nirami’s interior tremor immensely and the sensation of Suetsune and Mushizu enduring something monumental. Her heart skips a beat with adrenaline pumping in again and Sadayo feared Sumika was retaliating with something fierce!
The Director’s hands pressing against the puppet’s cavity doors and her face pressed onto the space wedging between its chest gave her just enough for a peek. Her sight adjusts quickly to the broken window and a figure hovering about outside and a stark shadow drawing a divide between Nirami and the window. An arm. A glowing arm, too. By the outstanding bulk of the pronator teres muscle in the forearm, it would seem the Juei agents didn’t waste time sending messages and in fact roped in the second advisor. Did he stop the iron barrage? This means, most importantly, that Sadayo could actually have her sights on Sumika and if whatever caused her puppets to quake like did had any effect Sadayo might offered chance.
Below, Tsuchinoko revolves back into the room and upon its return lunges skyward in its attempt to wrap about and immobilize the owl’s wings. While on the office room floor Sadayo put forth the energy for an additional technique utilizing Mushizu’s hands which began to flicker quickly and threw body closer toward the window. The Director was torn between pushing Sumika away with techniques to wad her away and capturing her. Meanwhile, she had Suestune retire his long brush to the side and swapped his attention on the chopped shaft of bamboo housing his master scroll. He was directed to take a knee as Sadayo unrolled the spool of parchment to a clean segment. The smaller weapon housing his brush fell into his right palm from a compartment beneath his sleeve. Inside Nirami and for the last fleeting moments Sadayo could feel her hearing begin to return, took advantage of the silence to focus on replicating her knowledge of the building to assist Suestune in relaying an elaborate illustration. A plain, run of the mill drawing, at the very most, with nothing pumping life into the ink. ”This building is practically ours," she spoke up in a monotonous sense of calm, alluding vaguely to the artwork in progress by Suestune’s knee.

The snake found its grapple, or seemed to at least, only to have the owl puppet slide free as it left behind a mass of iron sand and tucked it’s wings into a rapid roll. At the same time Sumika warded away the raiton casually as she began to fall back absent her mount, the cloak around her shoulders sweeping up into a shield of jiton as her motion casually batted the attack away. Massive wings unfurled again as more sand shifted from the owl's body to preserve its appendages. A flap propelled the puppet into motion, catching Sumika reclined upon its back, leaning casually on one elbow, head in hand. She circled a few times, an annoyed expression on her face as she largely ignored Masato's pointless interruption. The irony was not lost on her, and part of her wanted to chirp something back about everyone knowing birds of prey ate snakes and return the favor.

She shouted out as the owl held its orbit around the building, just far enough away from the structure that the snake puppet would have to leave it entirely to attack again. It took every ounce of restraint Sumika had to not return a torrent of curses or a sea of Jiton, but Sadayo had already stepped neck deep into a swamp of s**t on her own and Masato's repulsive display of possessiveness meant this was over anyways. She might have managed to trick Sadayo into a disadvantageous position, or even meet her blow for blow, but there was no way to handle both.
"You struck first, spooky b***h. I've done nothing but defend myself." This was ultimately true, even Sadayo couldn't construct an alternate reality from this situation. Iron Sand World Order was an area control technique deployed on a room full of puppets. Sadayo might not have even known it was used, but her "weapon" could easily derive this information. At best it might have scared the JUEI out in the hallway further off from the office. Marrow Gnawer's kusarigama was a restraining technique. Sumika had retreated from an advantageous situation. She could have easily dealt with the poison and attacked the puppet Sadayo had hidden in with her sage mode. She had an exceptional close quarters advantage in that moment, and likely outclassed the woman in ninjutsu as well. Nothing about Sumika's actions could be portrayed as the aggressor in this particular interaction. If she'd wanted the whole office could be a towering inferno, or a pile of splinters, or any other number of incredibly hostile environments. At the moment the only hostile things in it were the two "elite" shinobi and that wretched foam. All Sumika had to do was float around to make a clown of her fellow puppeteer, though that was probably as difficult a task for her as continuing this fight.
"I'm certainly not the one hurling lightning bolts, deploying poison, or threatening people with mangy fox monsters. Ain't a single one of you in charge of anything that values the life of anyone else in Konoha but you and yours. You never intended to treat me like anything but trash. You were committed to attacking me the second you walked through the door and you didn't hesitate." The woman was clearly heated now. Her playfulness was gone as she finally had the moment to process the lecture she'd just been given. She no longer lounged on the puppet. It was rage that came from her, driven by Sadayo's words. Pure and human, unlike Masato's display of warped demon-derived anger, paired with a set of white knuckles. To be honest, Sumika was also extremely disappointed. She sat her butt down in that chair for the same reason she came to challenge Lahlil. It was, in a way, a trap to see if whoever in charge was what she purported them to be: heartless war mongers incapable of relating to the part of the village that didn't provide them with military value. The previous Hokage had made a great case that she understood how to deal with people and that she had a sense of empathy even if it was filtered through a strange lens. What had come from Sumika's significantly more incendiary actions was a peaceful resolution and a promise to grow closer. She'd felt much the same way about Lahlil in that moment as she had San the first time the former Uzushiokage had helped her figure out how to do something without messing up. Sadayo was several actions, and assertions of superiority, too late for the case she was now trying to make, and Trouble was incensed by the callousness of it. The acceptance that what Sumika put forward in her grating language and carefree attitude was all the depth there was to her. The assumption that the current conflagration was the result of thoughtlessness.

New anger roiled in her though. From where she was it was hard to see Sadayo as someone who regarded any of the people around her as anything more complex than the words on one of her reports or any more valuable than the paper they were printed on. "Sanae is my sister because she loves me. Because when people like you and your boyfriend treated me like nothing, she treated me like family. And I'm still here because I love all the little people in this village. I didn't have to ask her for that, and they didn't have to ask me for it. You wanna chain me for that? For sitting in a stupid chair when no one else was and not liking you giant ******** losers? Then get out here and do it yourself where your village can see!" Her arms rose as she glided past the window on Vogel once again, beckoning. If Sadayo had convinced Sumika of anything, it was only that a worse person couldn't have possibly been put in charge of her home.

Do you really want me to tell him how you tried to take my sight away after that illusion I cast just rattled. You attacked me first over a noisy shadow clone trick. Have you ever seen these eyes change color? Why do you think I just stood there?” For the puppeteer, the woman, who valued her reservation of feelings was being torn bit by bit into a distressing rant fueled by sheer disbelief and anger. The muscles in her arms grew tense and she yanked Tsuhinoko back to the broken window. It relaxed. “Have you of all people sacrificed countless hours for the little people of this village? I was named head of the intelligence just weeks after we founded this place. I devoted practically all my focus to establishing order and building a law enforcement to protect the little people, you lazy brat!” Sadayo clawed her fingers in frustration and scowled like Nirami off to her right. She tried to breathe. But the wind zipping from her nostrils was sharp and Sadayo grabbed and pulled on handfuls of her hair, now a large, wavy brown mass behind her shoulders.
“Are you stupid are you stupid? Are you blind!? I can’t believe this.”She raved on, appalled by what she was hearing. Sadayo’s eyes opened wide as she balled and shook her fists. She divulged her look of growing frustration with Sumika to Masato before returning to the shattered window to shout:“you’re a genin who has given nothing! Nothing but excuses!”Sadayo threw her arms forward, beseeching Sumika to listen to a harsh reality from another woman’s perspective. In a rare instance, Sadayo’s emotions which are always so tightly wound up and hidden behind her empty stare were triggered to break their bounds. While as human as emotions were it was an aspect better hidden in her learned profession. “Another over-privileged bloodline brat making an attempt to spit in the eye of my life’s work! Keep giving me excuses. Be the victim! Be the innocent, lazy victim who hasn’t sacrificed anything precious to protect the all little people!”
”Go on, sit there and claim how you’re in the right” Her expression became an unhinged smile as tears were beginning to well in her eyes (a lot like another puppet of hers) and she tilted her head The Director raised her arms and spun about, “we can tell the whole village together how a genin who's done nothing for them, loves them more than their n-neighbor- nurse-ch-chief-director Sadayo Soga! Yeah? We’ll tell the jounin! The chunin and genin! Their families! My neighbors! We’ll tell the hospital, the police, the fire brigade!” She clapped her hands together with no success to tame the visible tremor. Sumika, as far as Sadayo knew, had all the time in the world to do as she pleased and chose to spend her time to be bitter and place blame to her heart’s content. Sadayo, on the other hand, didn’t have the same leisure time. As long as Sadayo’s professions were to the village and less so in places where she’d prefer it. Envy incarnate could just barely hold her tongue. “WITHERED LITTLE LEAF!”She shouted finally with a fire in her voice. The welling tears in her eyes fell. Her passions and dedication had long taken their grip.
The Juei agents had previously retreated to the opposite side of the wall in the hallway. Their masks hiding their seeming perpetual outrage toward Sumika’s disrespect beside their concern and alarm as the otherwise self-controlled head of their operations had revealed this unfamiliar side of her. ”Sadayo…” one softly spoke her first name from behind, taken back by this reveal. A second agent calls into the room and approaches the open doorway, hesitating. The leader with the theater mask continued to fill Masato in more on the details.
”Sumika wasn’t posing herself as a threat when we arrived, sir. Her rat companion, on the other hand, was questionable. Might I offer some advice to your allies to pick their words wiser when speaking to us. We didn’t draw weapons until the Director arrived but she dismissed us. Speaking to her wasn’t easy. Something outside the village left her hard of hearing. We came to the conclusion that her judgment was needed to deem this as a threatening situation. But you cannot deny your attempts to take the office. Still. JUEI is gracious to you for bringing the urgent matter to our attention. Thank you, Sumikage, for fulfilling your duty as a shinobi of the village. Despite how blunt the delivery was. Pray an innin isn’t taking the advantage of the unusual circumstances as we speak.”
The operative spoke sharply even as he mocked the title of Sumikage. An innin spy was unlikely but the possibilities should always be considered. ”When the Hokage disappears without a word we have to inform her subordinates. It’s how things would work under any hidden village. The advisors would take charge to protect the village while doing what they have to do to maintain a sense of stability. A sense of strength! We were not spared from Director Soga’s illusion. It was excruciating but we had the benefit of knowing the nature of its design. A third operative returned to the room, reached behind their head with one hand as the other hand pulled upward on the mask fastened to their face. My peers are angry and I've been spending the last five minutes trying to remind them of what's important as we've allowed this to spiral into the wrong direction." The operative retired her mask to a clip on her waist and maneuvered herself behind and whisking around to the other side of the samurai puppet. Maki was risking her career on her preference to be the mediator when she took the spot in front of Masato's arm who ultimately shielding the Director from her own surprise show of recklessness, "shhh. Shhshh..." Maki quelled Sadayo, awkwardly, while attempting to redirect Masato's anger to something else as she pats his arm away. "We're not going to say where it went wrong," Maki said, swapping a long stare to raggled Sadayo before swapping over to Sumika, "we're going to focus on why it went wrong, whether she wants to hear about it or not." Maki distinctly nodded her head toward the unwound Sadayo behind her. Sadayo, meanwhile, was wide-eyed and low-key horrified to hear whatever Maki was going to say. "I have known Sadayo for seven years and five of those have been spent as an operative instead of just as a friend. If we're even friends and not colleagues but before I digress the fact of the matter remains that she has never been offered a student. " Behind Maki, Sadayo was looking ridged and too uncomfortable to reply. She could only sheepishly turn her sights from Maki and Sumika as the Director stiffly shook her head. A jounin with no record of a student to enliven her title. Lahlil had students. Masato had students. Surely, Ayame had students. Chie had students too, yes?
"There's no question that your connection to the village isn't genuine, Sumika. The drive of your actions were in the right place, granted, I wouldn't advise repeating said actions..." Maki pauses as she waves her hands, gesturing to move pass the topic. "Sadayo's connection to the village feels like it's in a different place. She's got a village full of faces but I don't think someone in her position has the time to drop everything to get to know anyone anymore. We were in your spot once. We had your title at one time. You rank up, get handed a lot more responsibilities, and life goes on. Connections get lost or made along the way and in some cases become more difficult to cultivate. " Her attention swaps back and forth from Sumika to Sadayo and Masato, with a look on her face as if asking them how much truth could thrive from these observations. Maki's palms twisting all the while like she was shrugging until she shifts to her next thought and covers her forehead. "But, the yelling," the agent creaks, sighing exhaustedly. Maki tiresomely drops one hand to her side and she presses her left thumb and forefingers to her forehead. Pressing achingly on her temples. While alarming to hear and see an unlikely side of Sadayo, Maki was embarrassed just thinking about the irate banter stemming from some interpretation Sadayo took offense to: a genin who claims to love the village so much more than her was more deserving to provide leadership.
Maki turned from the director. The operative arched her brow and shrugged, "All I can say is that you struck a nerve somewhere. This isn't her. Maki shook her head, now reflecting her worried and distress that something soured so quickly. Still, talking freely like this about a friend (who could fire her on the spot) was like walking on nails. She turns cautiously to the advisors behind her and shrugs again, "just stop me whenever, Sadayo. Masato? No? Alright. I'll just keep trying to play peacemaker." She nods to herself wondering how loyal she looked with this review of her superior. The expressions on Maki's face as she was turned toward Sumika's were all indicative of how shocked she was that nobody had tried to get her to stop talking yet.
"Alright. See. Sumika, I'm not going to stand here and list what my peers are thinking or what Sadayo might be thinking. I don't think you were actually jabbing at Sadayo's interest in the village and I don't exactly agree with her." She carries on, even still, and treading lightly in her tone. ""What she said felt like a whole other collapse beside the point I think I'm hearing. I don't have a pedestal built up by accomplishments, responsibilities, nor the weight of stress," Maki was turning to face her superior as she spoke. "There. That's right I said it!" She spun back to face Sumika after speaking her mind and looking as if a weight knocked off her shoulders. "But it isn't fair to say that neither of the advisors don't value the worth of a genin," the agent stepped again over to the opposite side of the herculean jinchuuriki. She spread her arms outward as if to gesture a grand surprise, "Masato has taught numerous genin!” In truth, Maki didn’t have a number to boast for him but she could confirm that he was willing to reach for troubled students who needed a wise, mountain hermit to guide them. “He is respected in this village just as he respects everyone else! Why wouldn't he care about you? He even helped save the village!" Cut the herculean mountain hermit some slack, right? However, Maki wasn't saying the same for Sadayo. "The Director doesn't have the luxury. I don't know if she's ever had the luxury to show the extent of the connections you're asking from her." As a low-point for the Hokage candidate there wasn't a lot Sadayo was immediately feeling inclined to do in the proverbial little hole she dug herself into. Nothing Maki said was prompting the Director to object to or validate but she was feeling more willing to keep all the other details confined and obscured. Even one person which Sadayo didn't feel content ot share details with was one person too many. It was painful Maki knew what she knew. Sadayo just kept her palms pressed together, trembled, and forced herself to breathe until her head felt light. How do you keep secrets when they're being rolled out? Then the imminent apology dangling between some facade of resolution and her pride. And the missing pieces Maki wasn't saying -or couldn't- that Sadayo was filling in behind her unsettled stare.
What's an illusion's worth without the Sakkugan like Lahlil had? The stress of three, towering responsibilities toppling in one grand plunge. All the time a genin has to enjoy her life. How Sadayo acknowledged upon walking in, she couldn't fault or show weakness to someone she perceived as innately better than her. How apologizing to Sumika sincerely was impossible as long as they stood on common and uncommon ground. Tetsuhiko was so fortunate to die before he saw this envy and resentment behind the allure of the object of his courtly love affair.
"Maybe," Maki said unsteadily, repeating herself from earlier and steps away from Masato and Sadayo."This is how the flow of time unfavorably treated Sadayo." Maki deliberately skips the opportunity to divide and conquer the controversy of the disputed nature of Sadayo's illusion. It wasn't her place to chide the Director where someone else, more versed in the uncanny marvels of illusions could. For the duration of Sadayo's pause where she silently assuring herself Maki hadn't said everything, the puppeteer was redirecting her tremor to her own 'illusion' of a placid state and stare.

Sumika slid down into a seated position on her puppet as it continued its circle. None of the words offered were a salve for her particular wound, though. It seemed they had misunderstood her, willfully or otherwise. Or maybe she wasn't clear. Pointless now. The justifications flowed and her heart sank with them down the falls. As it had been back in the original Konoha, so it was in the New Konoha - just this time with a fresh set of reasons for why she wasn't worth treating the same as everyone else who toiled around doing the work of the office. It was not good enough for her to simply exist. Sharing the same love of Devious Delights, enjoying the same hotsprings, sharing the same walls, training in the same buildings, guarding the galleries, walking the dogs, picking the trash from the streets. None of it mattered. The rat echoed the same sentiment in a calmer tone. An insistence that the absence of any semblance of care was not, in fact, evidence of its absence. A demand to sympathize with the plight of the powerful. A suggestion that Sadayo's lack of opportunity to learn and grow should be forgiven, while out right refusing to refute the suggestions that the genin's same plight was the function of laziness and degeneracy. Why? Because she didn't agree exactly?
As if Sumika hadn't been cooped up, shooed away from, and out right passed over any time a chance presented itself for her to prove her capability. It was her own fault that she'd constantly been kept from a position where her abilities could be put to use, not the people who could summon a platoon of secret police and a chakra beast bound in human form. The same people with the power to bar her access to training and in whose hands alone her inclusion rested. Or so this lot would have her believe. Sumika smirked at the mention of the fox, but she let the woman finish speaking before responding.
"Just because we share a similar appearance" she began, gesturing to the effects of her own sage transformation as she passed in her circle once again, "doesn't mean I'm going to sit here and let you lie to my face. Ratte, you know Ma. Sa. To. Would gladly turn me into a cloud of red mist." Sumika made a series of mockingly fawning expressions and poses with her hands as she said each syllable of the jinchuriki's name. "I can feel it in the air. Even if all I did was try to stand my ground. Wouldn't make a difference to him. Just the slightest provocation, and suddenly I'm a stain somewhere." She circled a few more times in silence, but her expression was not that of energetic mockery or goading gamesmanship. Her words were laced with poison few would have heard before. Simple language, but notably more tidy than normal, at least in this moment. Expertly accentuated and carefully delivered not with an intent to inflame, but rather to scorn and rebuke. It was likely an entirely new side to the gaggle in the office, considering how obviously they assumed her incapable of comprehending the broader machinations of the world beyond her own head; as if a grown a** woman left to the tasks of children and unwilling solitude would ponder anything but.
Sumika did her best to avoid this sort of stuff. She didn't enjoy the vitriol many shinobi possessed for their opponents and the world in general. The woman preferred laughter and jokes. Getting a rise out of the serious and the stately was, after all, her most compelling trait, and she reveled in it. She would have continued taunting Sadayo without mercy, sending a kage into a fit would be her crowning achievement - if the stakes weren't so personal that the levity in it was becoming hard for even her to find. Trouble, despite her nickname, lacked the cruelty required to be this active in her anger though. She found it wore her down quickly, and she hated all the knots it tied inside her afterwards. It was as if a genjutsu were placed on her, sapping the will from her very being. She rolled her shoulders momentarily, as if trying to shrug off something invisible.
"Don't take me returning the Premier Puppeteer's insults with her being the point of this. I couldn't care less about her. Y'all treat me like an idiot but I told you that to your damn face, Ratte." She said, now obviously regaining some semblance of her usual candor. Her statement wasn't entirely true, though. A few weeks removed from this scenario, Sumika would have a well vested interest in annoying the piss out of Sadayo. But, her critique was not of the woman she barely knew from a stranger on the street. "It's all of you. It's whatever y'all thought justified threatening me as a first resort. It's whatever's broken your brains so bad that your stupid schemes and wars and political plots don't leave time to get to know someone who's lived here since before the thought of doing so even crossed your mind." She said as she raised her hands, gesturing towards the waterfall that even now her massive puppet seemed to come uncomfortably close to, before flopping back spread eagle onto the mechanical creature. She of course meant the broader spectacle that was Takijinsei, one of many massive monuments to the collective stupidity of the ninja world's leadership.
"I've had more conversations with multiple, individual trees in this village than all of you combined. You know what, Ratte, this is your problem now. You wanna solve it? Then come find me. Can't imagine it'll be hard. I'm sure I'll have enough surveillance that half of you masked weirdos will know the color of my ******** underwear every day." And like that her sage mode faded. The rat atop the office departed and the stress that was evident in the young woman named Trouble went with it, at least momentarily. The big puppet banked tightly before settling into an arc that would take it through a gap in the falls. "It's purple by the way! Wednesdays are purple!" This was, of course, a lie. Her underwear was indeed purple today, but there was no reality in which she'd ever care enough to set a schedule for anything.

Yo'Ichi walked up the stairs for the first time since joining the Land of Fire, he was slightly nervous about getting a headband. Seeing the large symbol on the door, he knew that it was now or never. He walked to the door and there was a heated argument on the other side; the door flew open and he immediately stepped out of the way. Yo'ichi took a deep breath in as the woman made her quick exit, he was familiar with her chakra as he has sensed it during what seemed to be a... disagreement. He looked into the office and saw the variety of people standing there Ahhh... is this a bad time? The chakra in this room is spicy. Though he was always into some kind of mischief... this appeared to not be the time for fun and games. He stepped into the doorway and looked around the room. He exhaled and attempted to read the chakra of the room.
Three operatives turn to Yo'ichi. Three masks sporting subtle but indicative features of a horse, a boar, and a third masked operative. There was a hole in the floor. Lahlil's desk was gone. The window behind where her chair would be was broken to bits. A green-haired doll dangled from the window by its own legs, a large metal snake at the base of the window, and an eight-foot tall samurai stood beside two people. One standing in the room was a man Yo'ichi might recognize who was probably still encapsulated in his own energy and a woman, coursing with nothing special beyond a reluctant tremble who Yo'ichi might not recognize. Who was to say? Sadayo didn't have connections with genin anyway. Then a third man off to the opposite side of the room. Languid posture but upright on their knees with a scroll over his lap. Not moving. The operative with the rodent mask had left through the hallway long after the troublemaker genin left from the window. Sadayo turned and faced Yo'ichi with a look that seemed more exhausted than stoic and detached. Her neck tilted to a side and her hair falling awry. Not a trademark ponytail to be found. Without turning from the genin, Sadayo nudges the glowing brawny mountain hermit with her elbow and rolls her sights upward. "Get. I've got work. We'll talk later or something."
Treading forward, Sadayo flings her arms aside and flexes her middle and index fingers under a showy flurl of her cape. The three puppets- and the man over the scroll- were all lurched toward her some before disappearing. "Let's not use this room," she said, flittering her cape more as she swung her arms forward. Then fluttering hand gestures to would-be occupants to shoo out the door.
There was another room that was more relaxed with seating for guests and minimal storage cabinets which Sadayo ultimately led the genin toward. "Sit. If you like." Sadayo says, waving the genin to enter the room before she could follow. She held back the desire to sigh. "Tell me what you need." It was an assumption from years of watching other leaders.

Yo'ichi immediately followed Sadayo, before entering the more relaxed he turned and looked at the Boar masked person. He was always curious about the intelligence units here within the village, seeing them in person was strangely motivating. He traced his finger on the back of the chair in front of her before sitting down, it was more than obvious that something serious happened before his entrance Looks like I missed the party He began to rhythmically and subtly sway. Though this was the leader of the village, he wanted more than anything to prove that he had something to give to the village My family just moved to the Leaf and I wanted to meet you
A thousand thoughts ran through the head of the Genin, he was sitting in front of the Leader of the village. He would have never been able to do this without actually leaving his store to come here. This was a moment that Yo'ichi didn't think would happen, not being native to Konohagakure made Yo'ichi self-conscious about his place here. He felt that he had more to prove then anyone else I figured I'd get a headband and leave an impression He smiled and giggled.

What buisness could Kokkakushiki have here besides maybe accompanying Yo’ichi, who knows? At least she did have a reason for being here beyond just accompaniment, she had however been rather hesitant to do so due her something in that very office forcing her byakugan to trigger due to extreme chakra quantity, causing her to dawdle on the stairs and let Yoichi go on ahead if he could brave it. Her eyes back to normal as the presence had subsided the girls worry forgotten she would follow in the footsteps of her new friend, that is until she ran into the ops who were present in the office when she turned into the doorway, confident she could enter as the chiseled lad whom entered before her wasn’t waiting outside and Koku wasn’t exactly respectful of most people. ”Hello Yo’ich-oh..ohhh?”She chimed, loosing the words she was originally intending on saying as she saw the state of the room and people present, genuinely surprised it wasn’t worse of but still taken aback none the less.
[under the impression the ops are still present] The faces that met her in the tumbled up room were concealed and as a result, unable to be read. Koku had a level of respect and dislike for the mask wearing ops. Her initial feeling is that they came of as rather condescending, secondly she was under the impression they did the dirtier work of the village and thus happened to hide people with taboo aspects like her own, able to exercise said taboos without fear of judgment due to being clad in anonymity. They second reason was part of why she held respect for them and considered her goal as a shinobi to get within their ranks, for professional and spiritual reasons.

Now rejoice and from now forth follow his divine word and you will be richly rewarded by his blessing, you have this opportunity!”She gave a dark grin as she projected her voice whilst announcing the last part, raising her rosary aloft and attempting to maintain completely composed whilst doing this possibly provocative routine. The Ōtsutsuki would probably need to repent for her blasphemy later, painfully at that, as if these heathens so to speak were really worthy, they’d have embraced Jashin themselves or been touched by him like she was... the fact this pitch was insincere and designed solely to piss people of would be the main issue with her doing this. If one of them decided to listen and ended up joining Koku would honestly have little idea where to go from there.
“Not sure if it was a party,” a flop, maybe, but Sadayo opted not to speak and relive a fresh slipup. “But I’m n-” she stopped herself upon the hum of a new syllable to instead bow her head and sigh. What she declared earlier about herself was kicking in sooner than expected. “I hope your family’s time here in the Leaf is well,” she said calmly, earnestly, sounding spent and worn. Her state of mind was still a ways off until she could control and detach her expressions. A pause in the moment, as Yo'ichi sways, skews her attention off course and Sadayo’s sights briefly follow the length of some stray clump of her own brown hair which had managed to spill over her shoulder before seamlessly swapping her attention back to her guest with a timely blink. A headband and an impression. She broke her stare to furrow then soften her brow upon attempting to process the guest’s statement and reminding herself that mundane introductions were still necessary.
“You have your whole career to make an impression,” Sadayo said, attempting to shrug a weight off a genin’s shoulders with her experience. But the idea she could offer was strictly assuming their career wasn’t destined to be a brief one. Pessimism doesn’t go far in this line of work. “I suppose I will need your name. Record reasons.”
Meanwhile, in the hall, the boar spoke. His tone was still coarse from the previous display and waved off the religious chirpings, “you’re barking up the wrong tree.” The boar operative was turning to leave but hesitating so long as the leader of the troop stood. “Tch,” the leader vocalized a sneer, “you’re kidding. Right?” He didn’t stand for a reply and waved the operative sporting the horse mask to follow with his leave. The operative staring back at Kokkakushiki restrained from commenting. The dark, empty holes in his mask fixated. “Genin?” He asks the bareboned question to better understand just a glimpse of their seemingly unscrewed mindset revolving JUEI’s agents and follows swiftly with a stern warning. “Don’t make us come back.” The horse turns momentarily before looking over his shoulder and motions toward a light flooding into the hallway. “Director Soga is there if you need something.” The operatives of Juei were finally able to depart the building. These agents had enough antics of rambunctious genin for one day.

Yo'ichi overheard Kokka in the next room, they had only met for a moment but he knew that he did not like the way that they talked to them. He took quick note of the 'pig' man and turned back to Sadayo Yo'ichi Yamanaka. He stated matter of factly, he always took pride in his family lineage... pride was a light word. Over time, Yo'ichi had made it his priority to learn and master his own bloodline The Leaf is a place that my family has always wanted to be, they knew that I could grow here and learn Sadayo was stoic and obviously tired, Yo'ichi continued to try and take her mind somewhere else.
He put his elbow down and put his head into his hand Are you resisting on purpose? There wasn't going to be any more tricks, Yo'ichi used to use these given talents to sway people into buying things in the shop. He hadn't really noticed a change in Sadayo The people out there fall for the stuff all the time He smiled and playfully rolled his eyes, even with trying to press Sadayo into a different mood... it was proving to be difficult.

Kokkakushiki didn’t expect much different than what she got, possibly hoped for bigger reactions, although it seemed to be enough to cause them some annoyance, well the first just dismissed her, the second one to react wasn’t fond of what she had said, that was clear even if her was leaving and not wasting time on her. The third one though caught her a little of guard, their unseeable face making the stare they gave all the more eerie, although he might just be regarding her, the girl stared back with eyes that led to a mind that worked differently than the average humans and clearly currently trying to see into the person doing the same to her. She gave an amused look filled with feigned innocence at his warning, responding to the words with ”Don’t you worry, I respect your roles in the village and I have no plans on cursing anyone, so I doubt I’ll get on your radar, or unless you take up an interest in the way of Jashin?” She responded with playful intonations whilst using respectful speaking form that her previous ranting or appearance might imply she lacked, her eyebrows raising with the last little question that was said without any serious intonation. ”Ahhh thank you, keep up the good work!” She called after the operative before turning toward the indicated room, then it hit her “Director Sadayo?” The guy meant the new Kage who’d announced themselves earlier, right?
Still she headed towards the door and reached into her bag for something, as she intended to wait on Yoichi to do his thing before she did her business, she might as well do some tedious work she needed too. She withdrew a little black and white rag doll/plush thing, on close examination it would resemble her, albeit missing arms and legs, only owning one button eye, really it was the clear hairstyle on the doll that gave its intended identity away. She withdrew a small sewing kit with white an assortment of standard expected and some fine white fibres, threading the needle by the time she reached the entrance, unceremoniously using one of her horns to tap the door so as to indicate her presence, not entering without given permission.
Happily adjusting to wearing some armor with a bit of weight to it again, Theodin would finally reach the building where the Hokage’s office was. Walking inside, he would stop at the front desk, “Hi... I was told I was to meet with one of the Hokage’s advisors... I’m that former Sand shinobi that arrived at the gates earlier today... Name’s Theodin Poe.” When the secretary explained that the office was on the 12th floor, Theo would sigh softly, thinking ‘Of course it’s the top floor...’ while thinking he was glad to have his ribs and leg fixed up now. Once he reached the top floor, the older man would look around and spot someone else waiting around as well, so would give them a quick nod of acknowledgement before leaning against the wall while he waited for whoever it was he was supposed to talk to.
