Orrin kept leaning onto the wall for some time, waiting to regain some strength. Seeing as he wouldn't eat, nor had he gotten to finish his sleep, this didn't happen very fast. And though he was used of a rather constant aching, this pain was far beyond normal. As one might expect with a scalpel lodged so deeply into his arm, that one could just barely detect the end of it sticking out of the wound. But he would heal, right? He always did. If he just left it in there long enough, he'd probably stop noticing it, eventually. At least that was what he kept telling himself. And though he was greatful of his ability to heal, unlike the usual undead, he wouldn't mind not being able to feel the pain. The only good thing there ever had been about being zombie, and of course the vaccine had to take that away, too.

After standing there for a while, the drowsy guy pushed against the wall to help him stand up. He couldn't just hang there all day. Or night? Whichever it might have been. Orrin began to slowly walk, and though he wouldn't wobble about so much anymore, it wasn't exactly going fast. Keeping near to the wall, in case he would fall again, the green man kept a steady course for the Doc's office.

He did not notice the girl with the notebook, at first. But when he reached the door to the office, he suddenly felt unsure. He had meant to ask for some bandages, seeing as his own stock had ran out earlier. But he dared not talk to that man yet. Not after what he almost did to him... Looking back, Orrin tried to figure out where to go, when he finally saw her. "T-t-t... t-tell him... s-s-sorry... I... s-so... I so... so-s-sorr..." He shook his head, hating the way he spoke. He then noticed another empty patients room, and basicly threw himself right through the door, falling down on the bed, asleep before his head reached the pillow.

After wandering more, Sciurus looked around, annoyed. The tunnel didn't have much light besides Voyager's, and there weren't any markings on the walls or signs to show direction. "You really need to put arrows or something somewhere. Not all of us are living compasses." Voyager sniggered. "That sounds more like it, and I know where I'm going. If you started coming down more I'd have to think about it."

he patted himself down in vain, so used to having a coat with pockets that wasn't there now. "... I can't even threaten anyone right now" The van scoffed. "You couldn't threaten me anyway, and you've still got your cleaver. But see? It coulda been worse, instead of just stabbing his arm ya coulda hacked it off. So you still didn't mean to hurt him." "The road to hell is paved and founded on good intentions and the mistakes of others; As my mother would often say." Voyager sighed. "You need a new quote man, If I gotta keep listening to that one, I might have to bury you again."

The corners of the surgeon's mouth twitched, the memory of waking up one morning, planted in the ground up to his head like a potato, coming to mind. There had been a fight going on between the pair, about some rocks that Voyager carried that Sciurus kept tampering with. Needless to say, he'd left them alone after that. "Fine, I'll make a note of not using it whenever you're around. Until then, I may have to go back soon."

(Nah, he'll be alright. Probably. xD)

The poor guy didn't get much rest. Though the bed felt extremely comfortable for someone who hadn't been in one for ages, he kept rolling onto his bad arm and waking up. So he ended up sitting on it, leaned against the wall with the blanket wrapped around him. He had tied the ex-coat around his wound, due to lacking proper bandages. The bleeding was going down, and he began to take less notice the pain. Besides, he had most certainly been through worse.

But as he sat the, he was feeling rather dizzy. Even more so than usual, in fact. And he was freezing. Why was he freezing? He wouldn't usually feel cold, unless it was snowing. Could it be that his own temperature had suddenly rose? No, how absurd. It wasn't like he'd get a fever or anything. Right...?

"Ok. Good luck doc." Voyager would have headed off, but the doctor was still starting at him, arms crossed. "What? We're not that far from the entrance, you really need me? ... Fine. This way. Need me to come up too, make sure you don't kill anyone?" "I'm not going to kill anyone!" Sciurus followed annoyed. Though the sentiment was innocent and honest, it wasn't like things always happened on purpose.

"What do zombies eat?" "How should I know?? People?" "He seems really upset about it though, even limbs." "... Wow, I dunno what to tell ya. Don't go offering him your limbs, weather they grow back or not." True to the van's word, within minutes, they were back in the 'living room' behind his office.

((So sorry! Just got home from work, also...Cylinder? I can live with that. As long as it isn't Slender. XD))

Waiting by the door, hand raised to knock, the girl paused to take a steadying breath. 'I certainly hope he isn't in a bad mood still...' she thought, biting her lip.

She knocked three times, rapidly, then took a step back in case he opened it too quickly.

{ emotion_facepalm /Chokes on tea/ Oh no, that would be even worse. I just didn't wanna leave hundreds of things for you to look through xD}

Sciurus went back into the office, Voyager behind him. From his previous little temper tantrum, the computer was in pieces on the floor with a few books. The van stared from it to the surgeon, who just shrugged. "What the hell? You'd better not call Mo about this, if you ask her to come all the way from Italy after telling her ya broke it, she'll skin you." "She might try... That's assuming I could even contact her." He looked up at the knocking, not used to the door being closed but opening it anyway. "It isn't locked, doesn't have one actually."

((*wipes the spray off face* Ohh, what kind of tea?))

"Ah...eh-heh...sorry about that Doctor," she replied, scratching the back of her head in embarrassment. "Orrin was up. He wandered into one of the patient rooms, if you'd like to see him"

She didn't add the zombie's apology, feeling it best that the two friends actually talk to each other. She pointed down the hall to the rooms, stepping aside.

Iced tea, just a simple lemon one from those big cans of powder you mix. 4C I think}

The doctor's gaze grew worried. "How is he? You're sure my presence won't upset him?" Sciurus took another medic bag with him as he stepped into the hall. The analytic part of his mind went down the list of patients and rooms, finding it hysterical if the zombie had commandeered an occupied one. "I'll stay here... I broke too many walls last time." Voyager said sheepishly. Sciurus made his way to the room, cautiously peering around the door frame. "Orrin?"

Orrin sat up on the bed, huddled up with a blanket wrapped around him. He was shivering, mumbling nonsensical sentences on and off, most of which could not be comprehensed.

Hearing a voice, he slowly lift his head, his heavy eyelids fluttering open. "Merrwh..." The zombie shook his head with a twitch, then tried again. "M-m-m... M-mer..." Somewhat hallucinating, a word came to mind. But he couldn't quite make it out. "I... I-I'm s... so... s-s-s-sorr... s-orry... no..." Orrins head drooped down again. "I-I-I... I did... di-didn't... n-n... n-no..." He kept mumbling, making very little sense.

The rest of the surgeon came around the door, and he studied Orrin closely as he approached the bedside. There seemed to be more blood than he remembered, and shivering? This couldn't be good. It didn't seem right to Sciurus, having shoved a scalpel through the man's arm, that the zombie was the one apologizing. "It's alright Orrin, really. I'm fine, but now we need to make sure you're fine. And since I'm the one who made you not fine, I should be the one apologizing. I'm sorry I hurt your arm, may I take a look at it please?"

The green man lift his head again, giving his friend a rather dazed look. "Mmmm..." Orrin kept shaking lightly, as he tried to remember. What was that word? "M-m-merr... Merri... M-m... Merri... lyn...?" Yes, that was it. It was most certainly it. Though, of course, it was also entirely wrong. "I-I-I... I... s-so... s-so-sorry... M-merrilyn...? Merri... lyn... F-for... forgive... me..." His head fell against the wall with a small bang, and his eyelids grew too heavy. "They... g-g-got m-me... F-f-for... forgive... N-no... Merril..." In his feverish state, Orrin didn't seem to know just where he was, or even who was with him. He could only remember being bit, and someone who was once by his side.

"What...?" Sciurus arched a brow, confused. Merrilyn? Damn. His patient was delirious. He grabbed Orrin's hand to see the injury, but dropped it in surprise at the heat. "Oh no..." The zombie had a fever. How could zombies even have fevers? Did that mean the wound had become infected? Did zombies have immune systems?

He took the arm properly this time, swearing as he examined it. He could barely find the scalpel anymore, and couldn't be sure if the flesh around it was in trouble or just Orrin's natural state. For once, the surgeon hesitated. Normally he would try to remove it, clean out the area as best he could, get an IV going with antibiotcs, blood and things... But Orrin was a zombie. Sciurus didn't know anything about zombies, only ever meeting this one. Sure, the anatomy was human, but what about how it worked? The doctor called out into the hall, hoping the other woman was still around. "... S-Silenda? I don't suppose any of your books are about zombie anatomy, are they? Or maybe you have experience with them?"

((Going to be at work till late tonight, have a blessed day!))

Silenda peered into the room as she heard her name being called. "I-I don't know anything about zombies...or if my books have anything that might help him." she fidgeted around, anxiety levels rising. Looking down at the books she had carried with her down the hall, she felt a kind of hopelessness. The adventure novel might have something to kill a zombie, the Weapon's manual would have the same...unless he wanted to amputate the infected limb, they would not help.

"D-do you think there might be something in the Science Fiction or Fairy Tale books?" she asked aloud, glancing over at the doctor.

Just about to doze off into sleep, he felt someone touching his arm. At first he hardly noticed, but when the hands neared in on the wound, his eyes fluttered open once more. "D... Doc...? W-w-w-what are... y-you..." Orrin's eyes went suddenly wide open, as he put his hand over the wounded arm in panic. "D-d-do-don't! I-i-it hu... h-hurts... L-l-l-lea... leave it... P-pl-please..." Failing to make his point across, the feverish man became desperate. The poor guy was actually trying to explain something of importance, but couldn't quite get the phrasing right. And though it sounded a lot like it, he wasn't really afraid of the pain. But he knew too well what such pain might cause to someone like him. "I-I... do... don't want... h-h-h-hurt... N-no..."

The surgeon didn't do much reading outside the academical, but given all the bizarre events that had happened, anything was possible. "I... I don't know... Maybe?" Sciurus turned his attention back to Orrin, letting go immediately. "Alright, sorry." He really was at a loss of what to do. If he didn't figure something out soon, things were only likely to get worse. "I... Orrin, you might be getting sick, I don't know. I'm a doctor; I want you well, but I don't know how to help you. What can I do so you'll feel better? Do you just need to eat something maybe? I'm sorry if I'm making things worse..." Sciurus wrung his hands, frustrated. All his experience and at the moment he was useless.
