She nodded when Jinx echoed the word partnership. V switched her position from standing to sitting, wrapping her tail neatly around her paws. Her sly smile widened at Jinx's question, "As with any other real partnership it would boost both of our chances of survival...." V's light greenish-blue eyes flashed lightly before she continued, "but with this specific partnership it would also have a chance to boost our standings on the streets. We could lure and manipulate toms to our will with looks and charm, or just kill them off with our skill and power."
Vai's eyes darkened slightly as she stared into Jinx's eyes, "We could be closer than sisters- sticking together as a team, fighting as one. I'm not asking for you to be my slave or for you to be a master. We would be on the same level, Sunshine" Vai's whiskers twitched, the only sign other than her now sparkling eyes that she had gotten herself rowdy just thinking of the possibilities. V took a light breath before she allowed herself to relax a bit more. Vai allowed her smile to calm as well before she finished, "So, what do you say, Sunshine?"

------------------------------------------------------------------ [Jinx liked the answer. It was cunning, manipulative and agreeable. Everything was perfect. This she-cat knew exactly what Jinx is trying to look for in this dump of a city. And for once, there is no sign of fright within her eyes. There's no doubt she would turn down this offer. It was perfect. She will live in this fashion from now on. A small grin was formed as Jinx gazed at the she-cat.]
"You got yourself a partner." she murmured.
[Sunshine? Jinx felt a small doubt within herself. Vai giving her names is something she, needs to get used to. Jinx raised an eye as she starred at Vai.] "Er, sunshine?" she repeated with disapproval. [Jinx just shrugged that idea off, only letting out a sigh.] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was in no way a form of respect generated by submission. Rather, respect formed from a new found trust. Maybe Vai was naive in trusting the she-cat so soon, or maybe her senses were keen.
Vai bursted out giggling at Jinx's response to her nickname, "Relax, Cutie, nicknames are one of my many specialties." Vai's grin widened into a sheepish one. She hopped to her paws, shaking herself free of whatever filth was on the ground. Habit. She felt her stomach rumble with emptiness before she turned around, the labored breathing had ended from the rat-faced she-cat. V's nose twitched, she would NEVER resort to eating her own kind, she had seen far too many cats loose their minds to such feats.
The tortie shook her head out of the thought before she sent a reassuring grin at Jinx, "I'm starvin', how about we scrounge about for a midnight snackaroo, eh, how 'bout it, Stripes?" Vai's poise stayed the same, her cheerful, determined nature could make one question if she really had it in her to be a killer, a title she held with pride and wouldn't think twice about doing.

[Sure, Burn's talent was fun to watch in the beginning, but Alphonse quickly grew bored of the she-cat's shows. Fire was deadly when large and destructive, only a pretty sight when small, and Burn didn't seem like the sort of cat who would willingly burn someone slowly to death. Plus, there was no way her fires could be large enough to destroy human buildings anyway. In the end, Alphonse left the pyromaniac she-cat after another one of her demonstrations.]
[As usual, Al marched through the streets as if the city belonged to him and he was its ruler. Strays who saw him either hissed in fright when they saw his unmistakable jade eyes, or turned back when the imposing tom walked up to them. Either way, no cat dared challenge him, and not one dared stand in Dogslayer Al's way.]
["I warned you, dimwitted rat." "Attack her!" There were some parts of the conversation that Al couldn't catch, but all he heard in the next few moments were roars and yowls. Al turned a deaf ear on the fighting screams, scuffles and fights to the death were a daily occurrence in the streets. It is kill or be killed, survival of the fittest. Al took no notice until he recognised one of the screams as Jinx, and the unmistakable scent of blood. Feeling curious, Al dashed towards the alley where he heard the fighting noises, jumping on top of a trash can and climbing a pipe onto a balcony of the first floor of the building, watching the whole fight from the railings of the balcony. All of a sudden, a tortoiseshell she-cat (Vai) jumped into the fray, and the duo quickly sent the street thugs scuttling away. Heh, so the pretty tortie actually has claws eh? He thought with a mental chuckle, overhearing the she-cat call herself Vai and proposing that the two she-cats join forces. A deadly duo of she-cats killing machines, Al couldn't wait to see them in action.]
[Al jumped off the railing he had been sitting on, gracefully landing on his front paws and transferring his weight to his back legs so that he was standing right in front of the two she-cats. "So Jinx," He said with a malicious glint in his jade orbs, "Are you not Thorn's little pet? What happened to your master?" He asked, obviously having no qualms with insulting Jinx's companion in front of her. "My name is Alphonse, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Miss Vai, I overheard your name just now." He said in a strangely polite, gentletomly (gentlemanly XD) tone, most unlike what rumours said about him.] ███████████████ ███████████████ ██████████ ██████████ █████ █████ Layout Ⓒ iZann

Disgusting things corpses were, though they gave off good messages. Very clear and precise, 'This could be you' kind of messages. Her stomach grumbled it's displeasure of not being taken care of. Vai was just about to turn around to dig through the trash when a new figure was suddenly looming over her and Jinx. Holy tuna was this cat big!
Just Vai's luck, the over sized cat was a tom, a muscular tom at that. Vai could practically see his muscles rippling under his fur- 'No, bad Vai, hold your composure.'(xD) her thoughts scolded her, forcing her to straighten herself out and swallow the newly building drool sneakily. To be completely frank, she hadn't heard much about the name Alphonse, except to fear it. V didn't fear much, much less a cat, even if he was a big....handsome....muscular- Her thoughts roamed off again, though her face exposed nothing. She gave a small bob of her head after he introduced himself. "The pleasure is all mine," Her smile turned coy.
Vai hadn't even paid attention when he was talking to Jinx- too busy examining him... for... scientific purposes?.. Yeah, she'd go with that if the question rose. For now, she decided she'd test just how good her luck is, "Your name sounds awfully familiar, if you don't mind my inquiry..." She let her question end politely, her pretty light colored eyes matching his intimidating emerald gaze with pure curiosity. She hadn't been on the streets completely herself for long, only two moons, the rest she was under the watchful eye of her teacher, who kept her out of the 'bad' parts of street life, AKA, gangland.

Jinx nodded in agreement, her tail twitching uncomfortably by her nickname 'Cutie.'] "Midnight snack sounds good." she murmured, getting up.
[Then a familiar scent entered her presence. Jinx turned around to notice Alphonse behind her. His comment slightly irritated the she-cat, gazing up at him with tinted hate.] "He's no longer needed. The rest you can find out on your own." Jinx replied.
[Jinx was too focused on getting a snack, not too interested in Alphonse's presence. Turning her gaze, she noticed the small flirty tone in Vai's voice. The she-cat flattened her ears as she starred at Vai with disbelief. "Oh yes, I suppose you might have heard of the name "Dogslayer Al" in these parts of the city." Alphonse replied to Vai, his regal whiskers giving a knowing and amused twitch. The tortie was small and looked a little naive and clueless about the streets, although her actions proved otherwise. Well, Dogslayer Al would always be happy to give someone a lesson about the streets, not to mention free of charge. The only payment he required? Their blood, and their lives.]
"No longer needed? I do not need to find out the rest Jinx, I know already. I always wondered why you hung around that pathetic excuse for a street tom, but at least you have come to your senses." It was obvious that Al had no respect for Thorn, a tom who hid behind a she-cat's back had no right to call himself a cat. "How impolite of me, not to offer you food on our first meeting." He shook his head as if berating himself, since this was technically the first time he was meeting Jinx - the last time she didn't even speak and only played around with the head he had severed from a stray tom. He turned around and started walking towards a familiar trash can in the next alley, expecting the two she-cats to follow. (SORRY FOR AUTO - well sort of)
[Al made his way to the trash can he was so familiar with - the one behind the butcher shop, always filled to the brim with scrap meat and bones. "Please, fill your stomachs to your heart's content." He said as he pushed the lid off the trash can, grabbing a piece for himself and waiting for the two she-cats to help themselves. "So, what are your plans from now on?" Dogslayer? that definitely rang the bell and rose the flag in Vai's mind, not like his title meant anything to her. She could tell he was powerful just by looking at him, and the way he spoke wasn't like any other brute on the streets. Her mind sighed as she daydreamed although her face still showed nothing. She kept silent, only nodding in understanding.
This time, she listened intently to what Alphonse was saying to Jinx, Who were they talking about? Not that it mattered much, seeing as the tense they were talking about 'the pitiful excuse of a street tom', as Alphonse had described, made one assume that an 'accident' had happened. Vai's brow rose slightly to show a slight bit of interest, but not enough of a raise to make them notice enough to include her.
At the word 'food' V's ears perked up instantly and her stomach purred at the thought. She looked at Jinx, then to where the tom was heading. She gave Jinx a playful face making it look like she was overheated for only a few seconds. The message was clear in that she found the Dogslayer quite attractive.(XD) As soon as she finished with the light chuckle she gave herself she began to pad after the tom, grinning sheepishly as V caught up to him he knocked off the lid to a trash can which had an extraordinarily meaty smell.
She waited for Alphonse's okay before she leaped up to the rim of the trash, sniffing and prodding around to find a bone with a good amount of meat on it, although the bone itself was a tad big for her maw... Being the crafty vixen she is, she hooked her claws into the meat of it and tossed it out of the trashcan. Her next move was pouncing onto it from the trashcan, simply to amuse herself before she began to eat in moderately small bites to keep herself from devouring the entire thing. Her ears flicked at Al's question, swallowing her previous bite before she spoke, "I d'unno, flow with the streets, as usual, I suppose."
ℴut ℴf ℭharm: Oh yes, she DID just make that face. XD Zann, just prepare yourself, Vai is going to probably be the comedic relief of the rogues. XD

------------------------------------------------------------------ [Jinx looked up at Alphonse with a small frown. He's quite familiar with the streets and the drama. Strong and clever. At least he was saying the truth about Thorn rather than showing false sympathy. Splint did the same and she liked that about him. Jinx said no more, not wanting to make a big deal about Thorn's death. Living as a coward should die, never being remembered. Right now, she was focused on getting a bite to eat. Jinx didn't leap onto the ridge of the garbage can, finding the atmosphere awkward with romance and love. Instead, she looked up at Vai with large, innocent sapphire eyes.]
"Vai, can you throw me down a bone?" she asked.
[Then Jinx's expression slowly grew into a disgusted gaze. She watched as Vai gazed at Alphonse with intriguing eyes. Jinx, hearing many words about Alphonse, predicted he would play along with Vai. The thought was just awkward. Her eyes halfway closed in disturbance, lashing her tail with agitated swings.]
"Nevermind Vai. I lost my appetite." Jinx murmured, licking her paw.
[She considered Alphonse's question, slightly assuming the tom is trying to excite Vai with smooth conversation.]
"Manipulating the foolish toms on this street, killing them if we have the urge." Jinx summarized, grooming her silver fur. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Alphonse took a large bite from his chop bone, chewing rhythmically as he listened to Vai. Of course, he didn't see the flustered look the tortie had sent Jinx, and turned his attention towards the silver she-cat when she spoke. Manipulating and killing. Strong words indeed. He thought with a mental grin to himself, although his exterior composure remained the same. His tail thumped against the ground several times, a few moments of silence lasting between the three cats. "Let us make a deal, ladies." He said suddenly, pushing his bone to one side after taking a few bites. "I would not want two she-cats wrecking havoc in this part of the city, so how about we see if two measly she-cats can beat one tom right now? Seeing that I gave you food, it seems only fair to heed my request." He asked, standing up in front of both of them. "A fight is nothing without a good wager...so if you two lose, your lives will be in my paws, and if I lose, mine will be yours?" He asked as a wicked glint entered his eyes, eyes that have seen countless deaths at his own merciless, blood-soaked claws. Plus, he had always wanted to try out Thorn's pet to see how good she is...who knows, she might make a good pet of his own. His muscles tensed and rippled beneath his sleek and lightly spotted coat, casting an observing eye on the two she-cats. Vai looked small, but seeing how she defeated the street thugs just now, he had learnt that she was a lot more capable than he initially thought. And Jinx...having been Thorn's muscle and tool for so long, he knew that the sapphire she-cat was dangerous and should not be underestimated. Nevertheless, Dogslayer Al was perfectly confident in his own abilities...after all, few have ever bested him in a fight, and the few that did were when he was very young and inexperienced.] ███████████████ ███████████████ ██████████ ██████████ █████ █████ Layout Ⓒ iZann

The silence was welcomed as she examined the hostility levels in the air. Seemed clear to her, though there was a hidden emotion in the air, one she couldn't quite recognize. As Alphonse spoke of a deal, her ears perked up curiously. She was about to giggle at his feeling towards herself and Jinx roaming wild, until he called them 'measly'. ]
[Her gaze hardened immediately as she stared the Dogslayer down, no fear showing. V hated being reminded of how small she was, it made her sensitive to comments relating to size, especially insults. Vai's gaze didn't even turn to Jinx before she started speaking, her laid back, cheerful tones replaced by a deadly seriousness, as if she were an entirely different feline, "This she-cat accepts the challenge." She turned her head to Jinx, her gaze still hardened, but glistening with determination as her relaxed tones returned, "How 'bout it, Sunshine?" Vai repeated what she had said after the offer for partnership. Vai had a method behind asking the same question, it had a hidden meaning underneath. Vai wasn't only asking if she was in for the fight, but also if she would stick true to their deal.]
[Vai turned her head back to Alphonse, "Any rules? I might be disappointed if I had to scratch that handsome face of yours, Muscles." she asked, ending with a half-teasing compliment. Her gaze stayed as hard as six foot thick ice, as cold as ice as well. Vai let herself stretch out her limbs and arch her back, stretching out her spine lightly. She let only a few moments pass before she spoke again a dark playfulness lacing her words, "I must warn you, Muscles, I wouldn't recommend underestimating us." Her sickening smile returned. It was the kind of smile that made the blood of kittens churn and hide behind their parents, something she took pride in perfecting. ]

------------------------------------------------------------------ [Even in the darkness, Jinx groomed her fur so that it was smooth and shiny clean. The city isn't a formal area to live in. Dust here and there, grooming is a frequent job for the she-cat. Easily she gets disgusted by those who smell like rotten meat and have clumps of dusts as their coat. Jinx doesn't bother informing those filthy cats, finding it a complete waste of time.
Her sapphire eyes gleamed as she darted her gaze up at Alphonse. A challenge? This is a loop. Knowing how useful and strong the tom is, she couldn't trust him enough to know what kind of trick he put in his request. Currently the only living tom that can be trusted is Flint. Jinx knew her life would be at risk, but she couldn't care less. She's going to deny his offer.]
"No, we're---"
[Anger burst within her veins as she whipped her glare at Vai. Are you messing with my fur?! The she-cat already finalized the decision without her opinion?! Is this a partner?! Jinx grew frustrated. Knowing Al, he'll probably focus on Vai's answer rather than her own. He's forming a gang, after all. Advertisement or his threatening deals are the only way to build the gang into popularity within the city. But this is a death decision! Either way, Alphonse is going to try and posses both their lives anyway he can. Jinx shot a glance at Vai before looking up at Alphonse with unpleasing eyes.]

["I would worry about your own face first, Daisy." Al decided to play along with Vai's game, giving her a nickname like she had given him one. Although his tone was teasing, his jade eyes were hard as chips of ice. "I am not in the manner to underestimate Daisy, you would probably learn a good lesson from your own words." He said as his eyes narrowed maliciously, his paw toying with the chop bone he had just been chewing. His gaze shifted to Jinx, mentally chuckling as she said to get it over with. So, Thorn's pretty little murderer was angry huh?]
[A wicked grin started to form on Al's face as he suddenly whipped around, kicking out the chop bone in Jinx's direction and sending it flying towards her face. Of course it won't injure her in any way, but a piece of bone flying in your direction would immediately trigger the protective instinct - either to dodge, flinch or swat it aside. Either way, it would serve to distract her for a heartbeat or two. Using this possible distraction, Al sprinted towards the two she-cats and skidded to a stop right in front of them, flipping onto his side so that he was facing the two she-cats with four pairs of razor-sharp claws and fangs ready to rip flesh. He attempted to tangle his paws with theirs to trip them up, adrenaline coursing through his body and fuelling his killing urge on.] ███████████████ ███████████████ ██████████ ██████████ █████ █████ Layout Ⓒ iZann

Tonight was a clear night, the stars would be beautiful, but the she-cat got the feeling she wouldn't have much time to watch while Lacey was around, Asteria wouldn't be able to focus and would probably worry about what the kit was doing. Sighing softly, Asteria pricked her ears and listened for a few moments, taking in the faint murmurings that could be heard from a short ways away. As her sight had worsened, her hearing had improved. She'd take good hearing over good sight any day. Asteria shifted slightly so her golden eye was trained on the small kit beside her. She seemed so eager to learn how to survive.] "Sit down for a moment and don't speak, just listen, then tell me what you hear" [It was amazing what you could actually hear once you took the time to listen. The sounds of the night, faint traces of conversations, the occasional noise from the human monsters, your own heartbeat. Asteria wished she knew what the stars would sound like if they made noises. Having good hearing was essential for living on the streets. It alerted you of upcoming enemies or humans, and could give you warning signs.
