The hardest piece I've ever played is probably the one from this year. (of course my senior year) It's called American Salute (sp?) It's a cool song but it's challenging. This is my first year playing Tenor Sax for concert season and it's a fast song with a lot of jumping around notes. Crazy stuff.

my band is playing a song called Chester. it isn't like super hard, but it is somewhat hard. i have had to practice it more than anything i have ever played before. i really don't like it though. i just do not think it sounds good. it is really boring.

the harderst song i've every played was the percussion ensemble I played last year. It was called Marching Season and we changed from 4/4 to 7/8 to 9/8 to 5/4 and back about ten times. i played xylo for that song and we totally ROCKED it blaugh !!! i wish that i'd have another song that would really challenge me, but I guess my new BD doesn't think we're skilled enough. well, yeah...

My hardest song to play would probably be The Jungle Book. I mean the notes are easy, it's just the timing that's hard to get around.

The hardest thing for me to play is the trio and solo in "Boys of the old Brigade" (It's in iTunes if you want to listen to it), but a really hard woodwind song is 'Abram's Pursuit" by Dr.David Holsinger.

I'm only in the eighth grade, but so far, it's Unity March. It's near the end of the movie, Independence Day.

The hardest song i've ever played is a piece called "Roumanian Folk Dances" by Bortok. It's a 4 page song and it has 6 movements. The reason why it's so hard is that you have to put so much feeling into the first 4 movements, then when it comes to the last two, the tempo goes fast and it's pretty fun at the same time! The rhythm's can be a bit complicated, but heh only to certain people who play their best. =D

The hardest song I've ever played would be "Flourishes and Variants" It's not hard for my part but, during one part of the song it has about six melodies going on at once. It's rated a 5 which is considered one of the hardest songs to play. But it's easy once you get playing it a thousand times.

Omaha Beach. 1st trombones have 5 solos I think, and I'm the only first trombone, so... it was all 8th/16ths and it was about 150 and forteissimo and the GOD DAMN TRUMPETS AND SAXOPHONES MESSED ME UP!!!!!!! They were supposed to play piano but the played friggin Blastissimo which is what I eventually had to get up to which isnt that hard for me but they have never played loud before so I was like "WTF?" and I looked over at the sucky first saxophone beside the good first saxophone when I had like a 2 measure rest and he was breathing hard I was like "Holy crap Eric you messed me up!!" and then it was another solo for me and he had like a trill or something and he played louder than blastissimo and I had a bad headache after that because I even drowned out the timpani at that concert!

Capriccio Espagnol.
Good god, that song is annoying. It's not that hard, (well, to me it's not...I don't do as much in it as everyone else does.) it's just...nobody in our band practices it. Except the tubas, apparently. 'Cause they're getting this one part a lot better now. XD
