Bakura Amane Stopping in to say that my art mid-term is this week and I am trying my best to get a photo in of my best art piece in my portfolio for the art mid-term so I can show it off to everyone. 3nodding Oooohh! Will you post it here? In our photography subforum? I'd love to see it, I'm sure others would too! Bakura Amane Also still job hunting; I'm thinking (very seriously now) on applying to the nursery (flower store) up the street from my house. It is getting closer to spring break and Easter, which means unless I get a new job I will most likely be working at my current job during those two times and I REALLY don't want to. sweatdrop Good luck! I know so many people looking for work at the moment. I'm so pleased that my job is secure (and good enough that I don't want to leave!)

Ugh.
Damn this snow storm.
I stayed indoors for most of the day playing video games because there was no way I was going to try and navigate the roads full of these maniacs who drive as if the roads aren't covered in snow. For most of the day, the 20+ mph winds blew outside with a sound I can only describe as being similar to the howls of the damned. While I hate the wind probably more than I hate snow, the sound did give me inspiration for a fantasy story I had hit something of a roadblock on. So after I finish my homework (Another thing I'm no fan of. Headhunter's s*it list is long and varied) I'm going to pull up my outline and get to it, I suppose.

While I love spending time at home, I hate being "trapped" there. My bike ride to work this morning was much cooler that it has been. I was quite sad thinking about summer being over (already!?!) and winter being on it's way. My "dating news" - I had three blind dates on the weekend. (Through the agency "Just Coffee" - they book a table at a coffee shop and tell you what time to meet.) Date one : 28, Engineer. It turns out that he works in my building, on level 28, I work on level 30. While we work for different companies, we have lots of mutual friends. He spoke about work a lot, didn't really ask about me...and was rabbiting on about "analyse ... assess ... evaluate ... appraise" when talking about his out-of-work interests! So, if I was looking for a business partner, he's possibly a good choice. For love, not the one for me. Date two : 33, Mining project manager. He works on site, flies in-out on a 3:1 roster. After 20 minutes he asks me "where it's going, because he was hungry and wanted to order breakfast...so could I please leave if I wasn't interested". A real winner! Date three : 40, works for the state government in land sales and property evaluations. After over an hour chatting, he said that he's on his way to his mates place to watch the cricket. He doesn't have pay TV. He didn't ask for my number, so I'm guessing that he's more into his cricket than he is into me.
In short : I'm still single.

Okay, I don't normally watch Family Guy but I found myself watching today for some reason and Peter stol someone's pet parrot while they were at the vet. His friends later convince him to become a pirate because of said parrot. Peter then gets a crew of pirates and they use Peter's car (complete with its own Jolly Roger) to hijack some crates from a British guy in another car with cannons and swashbuckling and all. I laaaaaaaughed. xd EDIT: Here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXOSi39QS58
