((Um… Synria, mages see through glamours, so technically it’s revealed to them… though they don’t know what others see unless they ask))

Bell watched in surprise as the vampiric teacher walked out of the classroom saying something about teaching him mechanics and freezing everything he touched. Slightly confused, she wondered what he had meant by that. Did he mean that all technology instantly stopped working around him or did he literally mean that he froze objects. She wanted to ask but figured she’d already been late enough to class, and besides the teacher was speaking to her.

Flinching at her first name, she nodded slowly in response to the question, “Yes, ma’am, but I’d prefer if you would call me Bell or Myrabell, please.” She watched the teacher, desperately hoping that she’d go along with the name change without too much hassle or too many questions. Hearing her first name everyday for two hours would leave her nerves torn and frayed at the end of the day, and wouldn’t be pleasant in the least. Walking to a seat, she sat down slowly as the door opened to a dark-haired, green-eyed, horned girl. Glad that she wasn’t the only one who was late, she smiled shyly at the girl and turned to the teacher, wondering what they would be doing this class.

"Alright then. Your name is Bell." Horatio replied, her good humor starting to return. With a simply twitch, the database housing teachers' rosters changed every reference to the Airving girl to include Bell in quotations. Pity, the way Darian always seemed to catch her right when she was hanging on to the edge of her sanity. The technomage's eyes fell to the other student.

"Two of you at once, no less. Probably the best showing I'll get this month. Congratulations. You, then, are very much Unseelie, and since I've only got one Unseelie girl, you'll be Asgard." Briefly, Horatio's eyes glazed again, taking in the notations on the girl's file. "Most people's titles are easy to place. Then again, most people get adjectives, slut and metal-headed, and such." Horatio continued, flippantly revealing just how much information the school kept housed in their computers. "Why on earth do they call you Oleander, I wonder? Not prone to killing people with poison, I hope."

Without giving the Fae a chance to answer, Horatio motioned for both girls to sit at one of the many work tables."Well, since you've shown up, at any rate, I'd better cram as much down your throat as I can, before you skip the next seven or eight classes." The resigned tone in her words was well hidden. True, the Fey had said she'd not be late again, but tardiness and absence weren't the same thing, and even with truesight, Horatio knew better than to assume anything and about a Faerie's words.

The smile on the demon’s face became more subtle as he enjoyed the free entertainment he was given. When the small pard stammered, passing the blame over to her little witch friend, Miya, Ran chuckled lightly under his breath. The poor girl was being put on the spot, already looking as if she were about to turn as red as Evie’s face had. As amusing as this all was, Ranofer could tell that they weren’t the kind of people whom he would like; their shy nature being a bit too innocent for his taste, though good enough to be possible prey.

As the girl poked at Pan’s chest, Ranofer shifted his gaze to the witchling, who seemed a bit left out. From the way she acted, Miya reminded her a bit of his little mage, Bell. He would have to find her later today, after classes. His lips formed a friendly smile aimed at the witch, just incase she saw him looking at her. Though the chance he might be able to frighten her was tempting, he didn’t feel like playing that card too early in the game.

Ran turned his head back toward Evie as she addressed him, watching the hopeful expression on her face before answering. “I won’t mind, as long as Pan doesn’t mind,” he smiled towards the pard, his hand reaching out to scratch her feline ears.

Taking in the consideration that the color would be much darker after she fired it, Bennie chose a color that seemed like it would be pretty after the process. “That metallic brown color is nice enough,” she said, a long nail pointing in the direction of said color. So far, the class seemed easy enough. It added a little creative flow to her schedule that would probably come in handy on those days where she just wanted to stop thinking for a change and just let out her frustration by wringing clay in her hands.

Receiving the glaze from Frahy, she made her way back to her stool and set everything down. Once again, Bennie’s gaze shifted to the window. Although the melody still remained, her mind wandered elsewhere; though she quickly shook the thoughts away and got to glazing her pinch pot. The simplicity of glazing soon resulted with her eyes floating up and meandering across the faces in the shop room. Settling on a lycan boy, she watched as he kneaded they clay between his fingers. The look on his face let it be known that he was suffering a bit from sickness, as well as the fact that he’d been kneading the clay so long that it was thinner than the nails on her fingers.

Bennie’s mouth turned in sadness, wondering how her own lycan friend was doing with his sickness. Avi had plainly told her he wouldn’t be attending classes today, due to the full moon closing in on them the next day. Although others saw him as cold, Bennie just saw him as another out of place teen, though he surely wasn’t anywhere close to a teenager’s age. A sigh escaped from her lips as she imagined his bright, green eyes full of pain; though she knew if he were suffering like that, he still would try to hide it.

Bennie looked at the clock, beginning to wonder when the class would be over and she’d only have to sit through one more class before she could get out of this drab school for the day.

A still, thin body lay motionlessly flat on the much too firm mattress. If one was to see the male’s body lying there, he could easily be mistaken as deceased; though if felt, the skin would be much warmer than that of a dead corpse. There was no movement, that was, until a gargling rumble erupted, ceasing the silence in the small dorm. Eyelids shot open at the sound, revealing bright, lime green orbs. With the destruction of silence, a groan sounded from the male’s closed mouth as he turned to his side, eventually dragging himself off of the bed. Due to his restlessness in the early morning, Avi had already showered and dressed; still clad in a black turtle-neck sweater and dark jeans. Vibrant eyes scanned the room dully. Once again, a grumbling noise sounded from his empty stomach, warning him of his hunger. The black-haired lycan cursed quickly, shoved shoes onto his feet, and walked out of the door.

Shoving his hands into his tight pockets, Avi walked out and into the brisk air of the morning. He paid no attention to those he passed, nor did he respond to a snide remark made towards him by a hookie-playing student. What with the full moon nearing it’s course, Avi’s sickness was rearing it’s ugly head. His own head pounded and throbbed, and though he tried to ignore it, it was a bit hard due to his usual frantic thought process. All he knew, was that he needed to eat.

Avi’s tongue glided over his teeth, his face blank as he felt the pointed canines. Avi found that when the full moon neared, his shifting was a bit forced; his teeth and nails becoming sharp without the need of shifting them himself. An exasperated noise slipped past his lips as he looked to his hands, the nails not yet shifted to claws at this moment in time. Avi hated looking like a savage in public, so he hoped his nails would stay the same for the time he was out.

As he entered the cafeteria, he quickly received his food and sat down at an empty table. Avi was definitely thankful for the generous amount of meat the staff had thrown on his tray, quickly indulging his hunger by shoveling the food into his mouth. The lycan didn’t care for others watching him gorge on his pile of food, though he was facing away from the majority of the room, so it didn’t really matter anyways.

{{Crazy Gaia-mods. Don't they know that black ice is dangerous as hell? *mildly insulted by the new item* I've been off-roaded by the stuff plenty of times. Nasty, nasty.}}

"Now, why would I mind. Passive avoidance is one thing, but active resistance is far too much effort." Pan replied, feeling the lightheadedness of the illness finally catch up with him. Only a few more hours before he would be just as visibly weakened as poor Evie, though Pan was used to hiding his symptoms through the course of the school day. One couldn't miss three days of class a month at a human school, after all. Someone would surely notice.

"Besides, after about the first three shifts you can remember, you learn active resistance is truly futile." Pan stuck his tongue gleefully, and let his eyes drift from Ranofer to Miya. "You're coming to , yeah? I'll drop you with the administrators for a schedule change, before Afternoon classes, afterward."

((EDIT:
I didn't see Lumi's post XD I had this window sitting open for too long... > w >

Anyway! It's fixed.

Also, Black Ice?? Ee... I don't like that kind of stuff. D: *terrified to start driver's ed/drive* ))

Miya looked up quickly, quite shocked to hear Evie say her name, blushing more at the sounds of it as the rest of the sentence filled in. 'See that, silly girl? No one really cares about you... You're just a pawn in everyone else's game. Poor sweet Miya... I just love watching the rest of the world trample you.' At the first sound of the cruel voice, Miya's head sunk back down, hiding her tightly closed eyes behind violet bangs. She resisted the urge to thrust her hands about her ears to block it out, but she didn't want to make a spectacle of herself. She had believed Pan maybe liked her, but after seeing what he did with Evie, she wasn't so sure... And the voice was sure Evie secretly disliked her as well.

Where was the kind voice!? The one from her younger days... The comforting soft voice, much like her mothers... It seemed as though a mutated reproduction of that very voice had occurred and an evil one had taken its place. She perked back up, the voice having ceased chatter as well, when she heard Evie sort of invite she and herself to lunch with the two young men. This caused more blush to flare up into her pale face. Her eyes shyly rose to gaze upon his face, wondering what he was thinking about them going, surprised to see him looking at her, and quickly pulled her gaze away from him, and back to Evie and Pan.

It was then that Evie questioned Ran, giving Miya the opportunity to sneak another glance at his extremely handsome features while he addressed Evie. She'd never seen someone so amazingly handsome! He looked a tiny bit scary, but he seemed very friendly, as far as she could tell. She felt the warmth of more blush on her face, her clear blue eyes looking down. It wasn't very polite to stare, though she had a hard time not doing so...

When she heard his reply, his voice resonated in her mind. She didn't quite know how to describe it... It was melodious and beautiful, but almost dark at the same time. She tried to ignore the feeling, wondering, though, if she should try to peek into his thoughts. 'Don't do it little one...' This voice was sweeter. It was the one she had missed for so long! 'Remember the Rede...' Miya had experienced the binding power of the Rede only one other time in her life, and she wouldn't soon forget it. She kept her mind to herself, and didn't pry into his. It was probably for the best anyway. She didn't want to be rude, and what if he knew she was doing it?! That would be a disastrous way to start a new friendship...

Miya turned her gaze to Pan, then, hearing what he had to say and smiling slightly, a bit confused at his wrap-around type speech. It almost made her giggle, but she contained her bubbling laughter. In truth, she was very happy to have been invited to go. She wanted to know more about this new, devilishly handsome man, and wanted to spend time with Pan and Evie some more. A small smile lit her features, her face still reddened, when Pan turned his attentions to her. "Okay, thank you very much!" She gave a quick bow, glad that things would get done, and that she wouldn't have to struggle to find the Headmaster's office on her own.

[[Eep, black ice. I've spun out on the stuff before. Bad, bad -shudder-]]

Evie leaned into his touch. She did not let many touch her feline features. Though, she wanted Ran to. Did she liked him too? Gosh, she didn't have all these feelings of romance in the pack. No male pard seemed like a good mate to her.

She couldn't really be with Pan, considering he was a mouse.. As for Miya, well, she wasn't sure how that would go. Then Ran, he was a mystery to her still.. She didn't know how that would go either. He did seem interested in Pan after all.. But, maybe all that didn't matter. Didn't love overcome anything?

Her thoughts stopped when Miya spoke. She quickly stepped back from Ran and smiled, her cheeks a bit red. How long had she let him scratch her ears? She hadn't really payed attention. Oh man, had she purred? Oh, she really hoped she hadn't. That would be a reason to tease her.

"Let's go then," Evie said to the three, pushing away her thoughts.

Pan watched the Pard lean into Ranofer's touch, and something clicked in his mind. Maybe it wasn't exactly correct, but she seemed awfully open to jealousy and romance for someone so recently wrapped in a Pride. She probably hasn't been without an Alpha influence in so long... No wonder it was so easy to make her jealous yesterday. She's probably almost forgotten how to have inhibitions of her own. He also noted that Evie might go from friendly conquest to rival for another's affection at any moment. He didn't want to think negative thoughts about her, but damn it, he'd seen the faerie first.

Besides, Pan was usually the one with a gaggle of girls and boys clinging to his arm. Actually, that thought in itself made him feel oddly awkward, being on the other end of a fight for simple touches and words. Almost makes me want to feel bad for the whole lot of 'em. he thought, referring to the literal hundreds of partners he'd kept in his bed.

Instead, bounced across the gap separating himself from Miya, and grabbed her by the shoulder on the way up from her bow. "Now, don't start that, or I'll have to break you of a pack mentality you shouldn't even have, Miss Miya, and I'd wager you'd have a stroke while I did it." As he spoke, he leaned in towards the girl's face, teasingly threatening a kiss in his body language, and watched the blush return with a vengeance.

"Come then, I'm hungry."

Ranofer let his hand linger on Evie’s head for a while, continuing to scratch her ears as she leant into his touch. A small twitch of his mouth showed his amusement towards the situation. Sure he knew they were all hungry, but he’d quickly learned that this group’s hunger wasn’t exactly just for food. This girl succumbing to his touch seemed much more susceptible to romance and jealousy than the others, though. He thought he had heard a quiet purring come from the Pard, but before he could be sure, she backed away, blushing a bit, too.

A smile appeared on his face as both of the lycans in the group had announced their desire to leave and eat. Pan was busy teasing Miya, so instead he offered an arm for Evie to take before leading the group out of the building and into the chilly weather. He took a deep breath of the cool air into his lungs, looking forward to winter and the snow that came with the white season. It just didn’t come soon enough. He blew out his breath, causing a ring of light fog in the air before him.

Soon enough, they had arrived at the cafeteria. It wasn’t very busy, due to the fact that classes were still in session, so there was a wide variety of tables to sit at. Randomly picking one, he sat down, noticing a lone, dark figure a couple tables away. Quickly recognizing him as a eighth year lycan. “Now that I think of it, I’m not really hungry. I’ll wait for you here,” he said looking at the bunch, getting as comfortable as he could in the hard chair. The demon wondered who would want to sit next to him, once again finding joy in the little game he played. Who knew, maybe one of them wasn’t hungry either; red orbs eyeing the witchling in particular.

(( It seems I keep getting busier by the damn day... XD I'm sorry guys. I promise I'll be more active after my current classes are done. Since this is the only account with access to this guild, I'll post Chloe in red and Momo in blue ))

Someone scoffed directly behind Klara. She'd picked the hare's scent way before the vampiress crossed the door. She'd rolled her eyes and laid down the last mimosa leave. All her herbs were arranged in an arch, going from mere insomniacs on the left to gut-wrenching stimulants on her right.

"A hare? How absolutely barbaric..." Her nose wrinkled as she whispered. Surely Klara would have heard her. She hoped she did.

Momo's attention had been fixed on Klara from the moment she'd walked in. Her being late did not bother her too much, it was how she treated the limp hare that got to her. It deserved respect, even more if she'd fed on it. "MY class will be spent as I see fit Miss Karmelv."

Standing up, she pressed her palms to the desk, giving the girl a stern look. "Miss Klara, considering how you've treated it, the poor thing would be better left dead." Walking over to the carcass, her eyes remained glued to her.

She picked the hare up, cradling it gently as she stroked the blood stained fur. From the tips of her fingers trickled green sparks that spread over the hare. "I would like to know why should I bring it back, though. If you can give me a good enough reason I might consider it."

(( Fixed... Sorreh about that ^^; ))

{Sorry about that. Sort of rushed post. x X;}

Her hand slid across the brown container and she accidentally dipped her finger into the glaze. "Found it." She muttered, chuckling, handing the small container to Benaira. "Brushes are over on the table next to the Seelie boy over yonder." She pointed off to the right to some nondescript boy with blond hair who was still having trouble forming his pot, a coffee can looking tin was sitting gently off to his left. Glancing at her chainless pocket watch, she noticed the time. Nearly a quarter to noon.

But such was a waste since even before she finished, Bennie was off, grabbing a brush and back in her seat glazing. Synria wasn't used to so many people working at her pace or faster. Her laid back attempt at socializing actually seemed to slow her train of thought. She was almost sitting down in her chair when she saw jutting out of the bodies, a hand in the distance. Getting up, the Elementalist rolled her shoulders back before wandering toward the student as she made a quick announcement to the class "Class is over in 30 minutes! If you don't finish your pots today, you can just set 'em in the trays on the left side of the room and I'll take care of 'em!"

"You're a terrible teacher, Synria, I hope you know that..." She saw what was a black cat sitting on her shoulder and felt him nuzzling his head to her cheek. But knowing that no one else saw him led to her ignorance of the matter. She was forsaking her imaginary talking familiar.

"Stomach ache?"
She muttered in question to the student. "Y'er a lycan, right?" The student nodded and Synria rubbed her chin with her thumb. "Alright...go then. Don't want you to randomly transform and wreck my nice shop." With a pat from her hand to his back, the lycan ran off, she was pretty sure he was aware she was kidding.

---

Asgard leered at the file irritably in her hands. "Because though while pretty, oleanders are dangerous." Her nose crinkled, hating the nickname-title-thing she was given. "It was a joke on how often I'm known as a 'heart breaker'." Lifting up her hand, she ran her fingers through her hair.

But at least she was honest. And honestly, she hated it. Being so damn nice on the first day. "I honestly would've figured they'd pick something less personal to my life. Like 'Red Devil' or something equally related to my horns, wings and such." Asgard spoke with her hands, making points to her horns and fluttering her wrist wings on cue.

Her honesty caused her such motion. When she lies, she's still. "Now...then...uh" She started. "Could you tell me about your class? What goes on about here?"

The blonde Mage had intended to make a comment about the process for picking titles, but the girl continued before she could respond. It was probably for the best anyway. Students weren't actually supposed to know what the faculty had dubbed them behind their backs.

"Ah." Horatio began, understanding clicking into place. "That's why you're here. You're so new no one actually told you anything about it yet. Well then. Are you in the same boat, Bell?" the teacher asked, kindly.

"This is a class for building, creating. Like the Gnomes do with the Arts, but we are forced to use out hands and our ingenuity. With any luck, by the end of the advanced class, you'll have a firm enough grasp of things like the physical limitations of a substance, and tension and pressure, that you'll be able to build useful things.

"Here, it's mostly theory , with some paralleled practice. The advanced students, if they ever actually show up to the class, get to choose something more specific. Cars, bridges, buildings, whatever. If it can be built, I can teach it." As she spoke, the piles of parts on the worktables began building themselves together: the frame of a car, a suspension bridge, a tiny replica of the structure of the school.

"We mostly get our parts from the metal shop class in the afternoons, so you may be expected to do a bit of work outside the class. Expected being the key word.

"That being said, I have low expectations of you, not because I think you are incapable, but because I know I am. No one shows up, no one does the homework, and the only reason they pass is because the exams are easy." she concluded, grinning at the two girls. "But, since you're new, I've probably got a few more days I can wring out of you before you decide that Otherfolk have no use for engineering and technology."

Bell sighed in relief as Ms. Tamaranth took her nickname without question and nodded though she doubt the woman saw since her eyes had taken a slightly distracted look. Watching her teacher, she noticed that her aura seemed to pick up quite a bit, becoming a bit less damped down than before. Perhaps she had been disappointed about not having anyone show up to her class before.

She watched gap-jawed as she spouted off something about Asgard being called Oleander, on her file, and she wondered what her file would say. Though she was curious about it, she didn't speak up and ask. She wasn't sure she really wanted to know, in case the file said something negative like Asgard's. Honestly, being named after a poisonous flower was rather harsh in her opinion, even if the girl was a self-proclaimed heart breaker.

When Horatio began to speak about cramming information into them before they skipped her class, Bell's eyes widened and she blinked a few times, having never heard a teacher sound so apathetic over the fact that the students wouldn't be showing up to her class. About to speak, she was interrupted by Asgard asking a question and she closed her mouth again until Me. Tamaranth asked her another question.

"Oh! W-well.." she stuttered out, "This is my first year here, but I wouldn't have chosen the class if I hadn't meant to come to it."

She quieted as the blond began speaking again, but couldn't help adding a comment after she had finished her statements, "The Otherfolk have as many uses for technology as the humans do. With the ability to understand and build technology and engineering, they can better themselves in this world. They can really make something of themselves instead of just hiding in the shadows as second-class citizens." She flushed as she finished her rather idealistic statement, knowing that she was probably out of line and that both Horatio and Asgard would probably end up laughing aloud at her idealism. But she believed what she said. Technology was important to the humans and if the otherfolk could become technology-savvy, and become a leading force in the technology business, then the humans would have to accept them for their abilities if nothing else.

Horatio tipped her head to one shoulder, surprised the optimism and passion in Bell's statement. She calmly and subtly moved her fingers on the desk, forcing her aura to obey her commands and maintain her only recently heightened spirits. You'll have that beaten out of you soon enough, little one. Why learn to do something with your hands when you can do it with your mind just as easily?

"Which, I have to assume, is why they keep me on staff here, even when there are probably six Blessed and Four Battlers for every one of my kind." She chirped, "But, I have to say that there's a flaw somewhere in that argument. I really, do.

"At any rate, I'll start you off with something practical and we'll have philosophical debates later. So, your choice, would you like to learn how to unlock a locked door with a screwdriver, or to put a doorknob back on a door because someone else didn't know how to unlock it? I think we should just be able to get through that in the, what, twenty minutes left?"

Originally the first lesson of the class had involved worksheets and a simple test so she could get a feeling for how much her new students knew, but after the first three semesters she'd taught here, the plan was changed. The number of times a new student could expect to have their doorknob torn off by a fight, or a Lycan unable to lock himself in his room for full mon, or a dozen other causes was absolutely unnerving.
