i really dont see what was so horrible about the episode, i thought it was good, not as good as some others but it wasnt bad at all....the next episode looks really good though whats with lock hitting boone on the head, and whats inside the metal thing they found..ohhhhh i haaaaavvvvveeeee to know! one htingi diddnt like about tonight was all the alias commercials..gahh

Well, I like to tell myself that.
A ho-hum episode after such a long break. Doesn't help that I don't like Kate much. ...I think everything in her flashback was pretty obvious, except what she pulled out of the envelope at the end. So one tiny surprise and a whole bunch of boring stuff.
Episode Rating: Needs more Hurley and less Kate. Two stars.

I started laughing when Shannon asked Boone if Locke was his new "boyfriend", then Boone just gives her this look, and there was an awkward pause...that perhaps lasted a little too long.
I'm thinking that there's something incestuous in the past of the siblings, and I'm really hoping that Shannon doesn't die next week. I loves her so! heart

Alright. I've seen everyone's reviews and I will give it a 6/10 because Charlie started talking again, the Sayid/Shannon moments (which I actually loved and am really taking a liking to shannon, AND I DON'T CARE IF PEOPLE SAY THAT THEY AREN'T GOING TO LAST, I CAN STILL HOPE DAMNIT) And Sawyer being his usual self, that was worth a few points although I thought it was funny when they saw the bodies, oh and when he was trying to jimmy the suitcase and Michael and Hurley were laughing at him. The bad parts were...well Kate. I never really liked her but she was tolerable up until this point. Now I just hate her...I felt so bad for Jack as well...digging up that body and everything just for her and then having her try to trick him. Methinks the little plane might have somethign to do with the big plane, if even metaphorically but me and my suspiciousness think the plane crash might be tied in, remember everything's connected for some reason or other. I find it odd that Danielle wrote that song all over the map. I MISS CLAIRE

Oh, and I flipped out when I saw the promos for next week. Locke is evil again, and Shannon gets caught by the monster or something. Did no one else get worried about that?!

well, that episode was okay. i really liked the parts when Sawyer was trying to open the suit case. oh, that was so funny. xd and then Hurley comes along and starts laughing at him. when i saw that, i was like, "Aww! Don't laugh at poor Sawyer." *pat, pat* and Kate's back story was kind of weird. it didn't really give more information about her past. well, okay, she killed a man but how and when? and i guess she felt really guilty about murdering someone but i don't know. now, it seems like everything that she's done has been a lie. *sigh* i don't even know anymore. well, i hope the next episode is a little bit better.

Ok, stupid question but, does anyone know the name of the song Shannon was singing at the end of the episode? I've had it stuck in my head all day and I can't remember what it's called for the life of me.
Also, I thought the episode was ok. I was hoping they would explain more about Kate prior to her being a criminal, but oh well. The Sayid/ Shannon moments were great. It never occured to me to stick those two together and I love the idea.

Okay well- In my opinon LOST was quite good. i couldnt watch it till like 10:45ish because of basketball and homework. but VCR's are my friend. XD so i fastforwarded through ALL The alias commercials. but when i saw them that were like 9:00 till alias i was like NO 9 MINUTES TILL LOST IS OVER!! but anyways back to LOST.
I thought it was pretty good; only because of Sawyer. XD sawyer trying to open the briefcase thing was hilarious. and then the flashbacks was kind of predictable. it was weird though; she robbed the bank because she wanted to get something of the man she killed..? And it was a little plane. Hmm. ((psst: i think the plane was a small oceanic model plane))
Anyways. Next Week. Im so looking forward to it. the VCR CUT OFF THE PREVIEWS though! gonk BUT! it's the boone episode which will make everyone love boone and i shall not be the only one anymore! XD

The song Shannon sings is "La Mer," a French song from 1945 about the sea, originally sung by Charles Tenet. The tune became popular when Bobby Darin made a loose English translation of the song in 1954 titled "Beyond the Sea." And it IS in the "Finding Nemo" credits.
I liked the fact that Kate was consciously planning and being a criminal. I was hoping that she just didn't become a criminal "by accident." I also like that Jack and Sawyer don't trust her as much anymore. Now we now that she's guilty of at least TWO crimes: robbery and murder. And about the airplane- it just felt right to me. In that part, she reminded me of Danielle and the music box. By the way, is the tune in the music box the same one Shannon sang?
And did anyone else notice how the toy airplane shares the same plane as the Plane of Doom- 815?

Tons of people are saying that it is the same song. Makes sense, since it's the only thing she would hear.
