Denji made sure he was human, then filled in the space between the Zora and the group. "That would be us." He answered, then scanned the Zora. "How are you even alive? I've never seen a Zora so far away from water before." Denji asked in curious tone. He felt like he would burn to a crisp, but the Zora must have felt worse. Then another idea popped into his head. Weren't most of the Zoras trapped under ice?

"Anyone can survive the desert so long as the keep themselves well hydrated. Zoras will probably need more water then most considering they grow up with water, but it isn't impossible." Mercutio shrugged, then looked out into the desert. "We should get going if we want to end this quickly, though."

"I may be a Zora, and a Royal Zora at that, but I'm more resilient than you'd think. I've spent the last decade in exi.... in the lost woods. I think I can handle a little heat." He drank deeply from his flask. He'd almost let slip that the Zoras had exiled him. He didn't want to start off on this group's bad side... and he was still ashamed of the whole situation. He needed redemption. He just hoped killing this overlord would be enough to give him that. He extended a hand to the man who'd approached him. "My name is Korin. Prince of the Zoras at your service."

Yamamaru stood and listened. For some reason this Zora felt familiar yet he could not put his finger on it. He himself did not know the Zoras well so he could not figure out why he felt like he knew him. He also wondered what he was doing here and not at Zora's domain but he kept this thought to himself. Yamamaru still felt like he did not belong so he stood a few feet away from the others. He also thought the Zora was hiding something but could not figure out what it was. Even if he knew, it would not be ideal to tell about it for he himself was hiding something as well.

((wow. this thing is dead. Thank you Zoven for actually posting, however my character can't react to thoughts. Not complaining, just explaining why I personally have not posted recently.))

((Sorry, I was gone on a trip for three days. I guess I forgot to post it here since I posted in the other RP. And please don't rush us, alright? You don't have to post until we get there and that way, it's assumed he's alright.))

"Denji, the Hero of Time." He answered as he took the Zora's hands. It only really occurred to them that the only other Zora had touched was Ruto when she demanded to be carried. If it wasn't for Ruto, he would think touching the Zora's scales would have been weird. "If you're alright in the desert, then we have somewhere we've got to go." He mumbled, then glanced around. Mercutio was no longer anyway to be seen. As much as he wanted to find the lost Neko, he couldn't waste anymore time. Denji could only hope Mercutio could find his way out of the desert.

Mercutio shook his head. What the hell was he thinking? Why did he decided that he could find the temple and get out the heat himself. He sat down in the hot sand and used his robes to cover his head. He had to keep himself from getting too hot, or he would die from heat related illnesses before he died of thirst.

(( My apologies.))

Korin grinned. "Pleasure to meet you." He drank again from his flask. This heat was downright monstrous! At any rate, he was glad that, of all people, he'd be fighting along side the Hero of Time, fabled hero of the gods. He pulled up the hood of his leafy cloak. The large leaves were beggining to whither in the heat, but for now the hood still provided adequate shade. Holding the Zora Sapphire, he held it above the spout of his flask and closed his eyes. It glowed again with an inner blue light. Clear water filled the flask as it trickled from the stone. Once it filled, he placed it again on his hip. "Ready when you are, Denji."

Denji stopped and waited. His ears twitched the small sounds of his own breathing, but he couldn't hear Mercutio no matter how hard he tried. His trained eyes couldn't see him either. "I'm ready. Let's go." Denji murmured as he hushed his group along. He followed the poles to a structure in the middle of the desert. After he read the sign posted out front, he pulled out the lens of truth. "Keep following me, guys." Denji murmured back toward Korin and the others.

Korin followed with a skeptical look on his face. What was he doing with the strange lens? Was it a navigation tool of some kind? What the devil was going on? Nevertheless, this was the Hero of Time. He followed as Denji moved through the desert with little indication of a specific direction. He weaved back and forth across the dunes. It nearly seemed like he was chasing something.

Korin squinted. It was difficult to see through the haze created by airborne sand, but he could've sworn there was something in the distance... and coming closer. No, they were definitely coming closer. They were in a tight knit group and appeared small. What were they? As the strange group drew near, he started to pick out details. Were those.... cacti? "Denji... I'm not entirely sure, but I think we've got company."

((For any who aren't familiar with the term cacti, it is the plural of cactus. It is not cactuses.))

Yamamaru looked up at the group of cacti-like monsters and knew what they were right off the back.
"Leevers? They tend to guard places in deserts so that means we are getting somewhere at least."
Yamamaru said this well drawing his halberd, ready for combat. He watched the Leevers for a few minutes as they spun around the group waiting for a opening to attack.

"Great. Are you saying they'll annoy us until we get to the temple? We don't have time for them!" Denji shouted, then struck one of the leevers with his sword as the group closed of leevers closed in on them. He felt a sharp pain in his leg, and found that leever beside the one he just killed had hit his leg. Denji hissed.

Korin was used to this kind of combat. Seed spitters often traveled in packs. "Stay close together!" He drew out his sling. With practiced accuracy, he let loose several spiked projectiles. The spinning cacti appeared to be close range fighters. Korin had both a sling and a spear. He had the advantage of reach. He stabbed at the green pests with his spear as they drew closer.

Yamamaru stab slashed at a few of the leevers but missed for this was his first time using a halberd. He finally hit one and knocked it a bit away for the slash was not strong enough to kill it in one shot. Another Leever dashed behind Yamamaru and hit him then sunk into the sand and appeared a few feet away. He got sick of it and stabbed the halberd into the leever then spun the halberd around then flung it into another causing them to both explode into black smoke. Another leever tried to attack from behind like the last one but Yamamaru stabbed the spear into the ground and jumped behind it. He land then stabbed his arm through it causing it to explode into smoke as well. Yamamaru went and picked his halberd then looked around and only saw more leevers coming.
"This is going no where." Yamamaru stated, looking around then saw something not far from where they were.

Korin ran options through his head. His spiked projectiles did hardly anything. They only worked if he could hit a vital and these things didn't seem to have any arteries to hit. His deku shots wouldn't stun these. The flash stunned any one looking at it, but these things didn't have any eyes. His spear was a good offence, but he could only kill one at a time and only at a certain speed. And they just kept coming. They had one choice: escape.

Korin swung the chain on his shield in an arch and brought it down on one of the incoming pests. Retracting the shield, he used his other hand to draw out the Zora Sapphire. It was time he tested its true power. Holding it up, he closed his eyes and pushed his will into the stone. Sensing his royal blood, the Sapphire lit up with a bright blue light. Blue energy drew a misty circle around the small group of heroes before surging outward and expanding with a loud rushing noise. The small assailants were lifted from the sand and flung into the distance. Luckily, the enemies were small, making this attack far more effective. He'd bought them a small window of time to escape. "Run, now! We have to go!"

Benvolio was still fighting twinrova but he was tiring. I can't do this any longer... He thought. Benvolio closed his eyes and tried to see where the group was. They had his lens of truth so he was easily able to spot them. He quickly teleported to the beginning of the temple and made a portal in front of the group that led to the temple. This portal was different, instead of the usual black it was gold... Bevolio shrugged it off as the new terrain. He noticed that Mercutio was not with them but he saw Mercutio walking towards the temple a few hundred yards from him. Benvolio then stepped backwards from the portal allowing the group room to teleport here. He threw a note into the portal saying that it was him and that it was safe to enter the portal.
