Bez thanks her for checking in on Ai and stops by the kitchen for a glass of water, which he carries to the bedroom with him, sipping it slowly, wondering what was going on. He knew only a part of it and nothing at all after Hope's arrival, for the gemchild was as much in the dark as he was.

Sitting down beside his mate he runs a gentle hand through Ai's fur, receiving a half hearted lick for his efforts. He smiles at her and kisses her head. "Feeling better, dulcha?" he asks, knowing she really isn't. He can feel the heat in her veins and the soreness in her throat almost as if it is in his own. How she can deal with the pounding in the head, he has no idea, for it makes his stomach turn, even second hand.

She sighs and doesn't answer, merely looks at him sadly, eying the glass in his hands.

"Thirsty?" he asks and she nods slowly, so he goes to find a bowl for her, filling it with the coolest water he can find.

When he comes back he sees that Hopian is awake as well. "What happened to you?" he asks puzzled. "Ye look like ye ran through a fire."

"Tam.... not so good. He's scorched something... not sure what... and he won't talk. I think it's some form of backlash... but I'm no mage, so I can't really tell. Yer brother is fine, if a bit scaly right now... he's regressed and brought his mommy home with him. That is one scary dragon... she's had Em cornered for over six hours now and is threatening to go for another six." Bez shudders openly. "I don't know who to feel sorrier for, Em or her... she's had a hell of a time if she's been stewing over all that all this time. I know for a fact that souls which cling are not free for judgment."

Bez cringes openly. "That did not sound good. You go see what's wrong. I'm taking the coward's way out on this one. Besides, someone needs to stay here with Ai and the girls." He places the bowl where Tam can reach it and watches as the lioness drinks. It isn't a pleasant process. She seems to be very thirsty but each mouthful goes down with a great deal of pain.

Suddenly Passura comes out of his cave and stands there hands on his hips, glaring at the golden dragon. "I thought all golden flyers were fair... and noble... " he demands in a firm brave voice. He looks at Emnast and sighs. "I know he's done bad things... but he's lost so much and he's been purified of that guilt... Look at him... If the one who governs all has seen fit to give him a second chance, should not you? And if you think he still hasn't suffered enough... think on this... has he not lost the love of his beloved... and is he not forced now to look upon her on a daily basis, knowing there is a very real possibility she may grow up not knowing in the least who and what he was to her..." Suddenly the boy waivers and sits down hard, blinking in confusion.

**tell me about it... now he'll never really know... will he rofl **

Passura looks up and groans. "My tummy hurts."

Right about then, Luciel comes waddling out of the cave, with ice cream all over his face. He plops down next to Passura with a groan and looks just as miserable as the boy.

Passura groans. "I feel so cold inside... how can he eat so much? I thought he was kidding when he said he could eat more than me.

The boy nods, though he doesn't really understand. He has discovered today that sometimes it is easier to go with the flow than question it. He curls up into a ball and asks Em for a hot water bottle.
