Tam rubs his eyes and nods. He looks rather thin at the moment, not physically thin, but worn and not quite there. He looks up and smiles at Kero. "Ye know... this hasn't quite been the ride I thought it would be... so much has happened, some for the good... some I'm not so sure about.... but I thank you for this opportunity, old friend. There is so much I have learned... so much I now know I need to learn yet. I can't believe I've lived this long and thought I knew everything... well... maybe not everything, but close to all." He chuckles bitterly and sighs. "So, how long are you allowed to stay to the forefront.... and how does this work? He calls you out and he sleeps... then you do much the same?"

Tam smiles warmly at him. "I love you, too, Kerobian... always have... as for VII, he just wants to kick my hind end to the moon and back... and he's probably right in wishing to do so... tell him, if you are still able to communicate... I truly regret any discomfort I have caused him."

He looks down at the cubs and smiles even wider. "Ye know... one warrior... one mage... not a bad pairing... one to safeguard and support the other... in either direction.... both the magical and the mundane... they could be raised to become a formidable force, Lady Fortuny."

Tam sighs. "It is commendable that you wish to protect your young, but would it not be better to raise them with the ability to protect themselves?" Running a hand through his hair he grimaces as he finds a tangle. "No one knows for certain how long a child born of two gem children will live... they coud be very long lived.... is it not possible that they might come to resent the fact that you did not allow them to attain what skills and abilities they have seeded within them?"

Tam smiles at her. "Surely you did not think I meant for them to go out tomorrow and battle the evil one... Heaven forbid.... I pray they never need that of which I speak... I meant only that if they trained together.... think of all the wonders they might achieve.... and with each other to guard the other's back... they will be far stronger together than if apart. There is a union between twins that defies most understanding. And I only meant to say they'd be something to see, once they have grown. And you still have your little girl... she will always be a part of you..."

"Speaking of which... I better go rescue Bez.... I never knew he was so good with kids." says Tam with a dry chuckle. "Do you want me to give her a bath tonight or are you wanting to wash up as well... I could babysit for you while you do so?"

Tam nods. "One clean princess coming up... Shall I draw a bath for you as well, Kero?" he asks as he pushes himself to his feet.

Tam playfully bats at his head as he walks by, but misses. Whistling he calls up the stairs to Salunia. When she sticks her hd down in surprise, he tells her in perfect d. miner, that he is going to fix her a bath and she should tell Bez good night.
