"Weeellll..." says Ame with a twisted grin. "I can't fault your approach to the matter. The methodology was fairly straightforward. But the sample you obtained from Luciel was damaged somehow. I don't want to alarm you, but had the child lived, it would have been severely handicapped. I'm not sure whether this means Luciel's seed is genetically inviable or that your collection means needs to be fine tuned. I'll have to do a chromosome scan of Luciel before I can say anything for certain on that. As for the experiment, it should have worked and would have, had this not been the case."

Ame smiles and standing up drapes a arm about Kero's thin shoulders. "I can see no reason why, once we determine what the trouble was, you should not be able to repeat the process will far better results. The only thing that might interfere with this is if Luciel's cells are actively mutating and the likelihood of that is rather slim."

*Kero smiles, slowly but surely*
Thank you, Amestru. First you give me back my life...and now you give me the chance to have a child.

"As I said, we need to do a deep cell scan on Luciel. His seed was viable, but overly young... and it may be damaged as well. Or perhaps it might be your collection methods. The length of time between the gathering and usage... the method of storing... or heaven's forbid, the method of gathering itself. And, although I hate to say this, it may be we'll need to do one on Tes as well. She, too, has lived a long long time and although she looks young, her journey's through the void may have affected her cell deep. There is an awful lots of ifs there, Kero. Remember that, but I cannot see a reason you should not try again, given you do the groundwork first." says Amestru leading him out of his lab and back towards the palace. "So, how is she doing? You'll need to be attentive to her, she's undergone quite a shock."

"Then perhaps you should be getting back to her. We can speak more on this later." He pauses for a tiny bit then bows his head. "Kero, I would give the babe an honorable burial in Kai's garden. Is this allowable? Putting him to rest there will give him a spot to look out onto the world."

Amestru thinks for a moment. "I will give you a choice then. Tomorrow, either at the first light dawning or at twilight as the night draws on."

Amestru nods once more. "Tomorrow then. I'll see to the arrangements. We'll discuss this more ere we gather. Good night, Kero. Try to get some rest. And whatever you do, don't forget Luna. She's been worried sick about you all day long."
