"Ish it wike my faiwy?" she asks showing him her tooth.

"I puts dis undew my piwwow and the faiwy bring me a tweasuwe... weawwy? Can... can I show Mama fiwst?" she asks, clutching the tooth tight in her paw. Anything that brings her a bit of tresure for her tiny horde is special.

Luna looks up shyly at her and asks. "Awr you my neeew mama?" She seems to like the idea, cuddling close to Kero's draconic mate.

Luna shows her her tooth and then the hole in her mouth where the tooth came from, asking worriedly if the big dragon's tooth is almost there or not.

She sighs then looks at the sky. "Mama say she gonna wead me a stowy 'fore I goes ta bed... I gots ta go nowwww... wanna heawr Mama wead?"

She is sitting on the edge of Luna's gigantic bed, thumbing through an enormous fairytale book, which contains stories from all over the world. Looking up, she gives both Kero and Tes a fond smile. "Feeling better... do not worry, it is right to feel a loss, as deep as that for a long long time. What one needs to remember is the world goes on. Grieve, as is proper. Support each other always, and never give up hope. Kero, you should talk to Amestru later. He has a bit of good news to tell you... which may make your smile brighten our days once again. Now, who wants a story... any particular one?"

Lyssan smiles at her and opens the book, seemingly at random, but there before their eyes is a beautiful embossed page, with figures so life like that when they begin to move with the sotry as she reads it, no one is surprised, though Luna ooo's and ahhhs all the way through it.

"Once there was an elderly couple who had no children of their own. This saddened them, but they were happy in their own way, and if when they prayed in the temple they sometimes asked for this not to be so, they never prayed too hard or too long, nor did they tell each other what they asked. One day though, as the old man fished in the nearby river, he spied a giant peach floating on the water. Calling to his wife, they managed to drag the peach to shore, where it split open, to reveal a small boy inside, perfect in everyway.

"He said he had come from Heaven to answer their prayers and they called him Momotaro... which is to say they called him Peach Boy."

Lyssan tells the tale of the young Momotaro, how he lived with his parents for some time, then went on a journey to the island of the Oni to battle the ogres who lived there. How he had befriended a talking dog, a monkey and a pheasant, who all helped him defeat the demons and then went to live with him at his home happily ever after.

Amestru looks up from his notes and smiles warmly at the mage. "Kero, just the one I wanted to speak with. I have news for you... some good... some bad, I'm afraid. Which do you want first?"
