Hopian laughs and nuzzles her too. "I don't think so, Princess, though if you want some afterward, I might oblige."
Bez chuckles as well. "Something tells me I don't want to know that story, I'd be obligated to say something and iffin I did... I'd be missing some fur... "
Tam smiles. "No... ye really don't want to know. So, who's helping me with the dishes. Bez and Fortuny are free as they have valid excuses... Kero cooked... so that leaves the three of us... he says giving a wink to Salunia and Hopian.
"Hey, didn't we put that dang stew together in the first place?" grumbles Hopian glumly.

*Salunia giggles, running to help Tam...and Kero laughs as well when Hopian grumbles and goes with her*
So, Bez...any stories you do want to hear? I am a bard, after all...

Bez flashes him a sad smile. "The tales I'd like to hear you probably don't know... at least not right now. I'm dying to learn how your older self met up with Ai in the first place."

*Kero thinks for a second...then stops, shivering...and opens his eyes again, turning them on Bez*
You wanted to see me, Bezernia...now that I and the others have awakened fully, we can be called upon...this is Kero's first ascension...when he sleeps, or let's us take over, we can inhabit his body, though we have no magic, and cannot speak directly to him. The second ascension will come when he turns eighteen...and the third and final much later. For now, what did you wish to ask of me? I am Number XII, Tam's friend and the most recent incarnation, barring mister brother teaser here.

Bez nods a greeting. "Tell me how the two of you met. It was during a time when I only checked on him infrequently, as my being around seemed to upset him something terribly."

**trying to remember the exact one, but he had morphed into a baby and Lyssan had summoned her brood to keep him busy.... they had appeared as cubs then, not wishing for him to think they were so much older than he was.**

Hmm...tricky to say...How about this...they met on the ship, but didn't really get to know each other until Kero's little bout with nightly rejuvenations...how's that sound?

OH YES!
*Kero smiles*
I met Tam a long time ago, Bez...back when I had first joined the crew of his mother's ship. One time I had reason to come to her glade, and when I played my pipe, I met all three of her children, though I didn't get to know them all that well...until a while later...when I went through the odd effects of a spell, which rejuved me at night, and left me as myself during the day...that's when I got to know Tam as a friend. And it was that friendship which drove me to ask the ultimate gift from him.

"It seems as though the two of you have been through so much together. Good and bad.... up and down... maybe that is why your friendship is so strong." sighs Bez looking down and seeing Tam's bowl, still half full of food. "Damn him anyway... he didn't eat again."

*Kero winks at him*
I learned this trick from Rhea, when her kids wouldn't eat...I can only use Kero's activated powers...but they're enough to let me do this...*Places a paw into the stew and it disappears...*
Simple, really...I teleported it into his stomach...

"Hope he really does have a cast iron stomach." sighs Fortuny shaking her head. "Or you have just given him one massive tummy ache."

He'll be fine...even I have watched that much...the only time Kero ever got him was when he put a scotch bonnet into his salad, pretending it was a carrot...

Bez smiles back. "He's changed ye know.... really changed... he laughs more these days... and stands up for himself more. Ye may have chosen him to raise ye... but ye've done a bit of raising yerself, mage."
Fortun leans down to check on her cubs and smiles as well. "I remember a saying from my people... when ye stop learning... ye stop... period."
