Che had been rapping on the door for a minute or two. He knew that Will was in the mansion. In there, he could also sense the Nikolai the Shadow Guy and his old subordinate Anya the loud. "God damn it! Open up!" When it seemed that the door would become Che's next victim, a man opened the door saving it from certain destruction. "Sorry about the yelling. It's just there's an old man up there who seems to have forgotten his hearing aid...you know him by William DeScythe...just lead the way butler boy." The Mastering Owl smirked when Sebastian turned, then looked over his shoulder at Kate. Keeping his voice low so that only she could hear him, he spoke, "And you see? It was either kill that door, or wait. I'm sure you already know what I had in mind."
~~~
"The sweet smell of smoke." Soliel bellowed when he approached Raven. She wasn't facing him, but he knew she'd recognize his voice. She was standing over the two dead bodies of the fighters lost in the recent skirmish. Yesterday wasn't easy for anyone. Not even for The Fallen Phoenix's leader. He sighed as he pain became his own. Trying now not let his simmering rage consume him, Soliel turned his eyes to the smoking french woman. "You know, that isn't healthy for you Raven," greeted the volcanic owl. "Take it from me. Breathing in and out smoke isn't at all fun."
Soliel didn't take a seat beside his leader. He stood, keeping his eyes on Nat and Aaliyah. From the looks of it, they were both shot. Aaliyah was shot with a much stronger gun though. The blonde made a mental note to inspect that later on. Attaching his attention onto the corpses, he continued, "Listen. I know that you're trouble both by what you see before and by what's been going on. All I ask if a minute of your time to suggest something. A plan to help ourselves even more."
Lorna caught the sight of smoke twirling from the tip of a cigarette as Soliel and she approached Raven. Lorna was around sixteen the first time she'd had a cigarette. She had smoked for about a year before she quit cold turkey. It wasn't easy, but after many withdrawels, she had managed to finally go about her life without the urge for a cigarette. The young Polaris's eyes fell upon the corpses of Aaliyah and Nathanial. An underlying sadness touched the emerald haired young woman. They had both been so young, especially Nat who in the eyes of The Fallen Phoenix was just a child. She had nothing important to say to Raven. She had only come along because she wanted to see if Raven was all right and to hear her reaction to what was being planned. Bailey winced. It seemed that she had been busted. With an expression of guilt upon her face, the shy owl nodded. "I um...guess I'm found out aren't I? Yeah, he pretty much sent me. I didn't really mind though. It gives me something to do other than wandering around this mansion like a lost puppy." Bailey tilted her head when Anya removed her contacts to reveal deep green eyes. "They suit you better, you know," Bailey said boldly. "Green eyes, I mean." Bailey then fell silent again, not knowing what to say. "So um...do you want the tray of food or not?" If Anya didn't, then Bailey would most likely locate the kitchen and bring it there for she wasn't hungry at all, despite the fact that she could use a little bit of meat on her bones.
((TFP---Raven))
“I am well aware of the effects from smoking, Soliel.” Raven answered without looking over at the two Fallen Phoenix members. “I also intend not to smoke the rest of this. I had one pull and regretted it.” Without battering an eyelid, Raven flicked the cigarette on the floor and pressed one foot on it to put out the burning red ember. At his request Raven turned to face the him and Lorna, her blue eyes sharp with no hint of sadness nor grief for what she had seen and witnessed. “So you are here for another reason other then to teach me about smoking?” Her words were almost as piecing as her eyes, sharp and too the point. It was very clear that she was not in a good mood. Though, these days being in a good mood was all but a foreign world to her. “Very well, speak.” She remained where she was, her gaze unwavering amidst the deceased. “And do not be fooled, I am far from troubled, all of this was to be expected.” A brave mask in front her team members…or a stubborn lie…either way, she was being her normal distant self.
((NPC---Sebastian))
“Butler boy? You have a way with words.” Sebastian remained perfectly poised and professional even in the face of someone who seemed to lack common courtesy. “It would seem that William is in the middle of a deep discussion with one Nikolai D. Krane….I shall assume that you know of that man already.” Sebastian did not lead the new arrivals up to the room in which Will was, instead he done what he had said he would do from the start...And that was lead them to the waiting room. Before the loud mouthed male could speak, Seb had already sent a message to Will informing him of the guests that he no doubt already knew about. “Now, how about something to drink? William will be down shortly…unless of course, he finds speaking with Nikolai more important. The man seems rather more…civil..” A dark smile spread across his lips as he bowed lowly. “If you will excuse me, I shall go and prepare some tea, Will would probably be wanting some at the ready. Oh, and if you wish to leave the room…try using the door handle. I don’t think it wise to smash the doors of this house down…” He straightened up and smiled almost kindly “They would be a bother to replace.” With his part said, Seb walked away to prepare some tea... leaving the two Owls to wait.
((UNS---Daryle))
When no answer came from Geny, the Breezy Owl cracked open the door and peeped in “Genya?” He queried in a soft voice. “Oh…still asleep…Well, we can not have that!” With a huge mischievous grin, Daryle tip toed further into the room and grabbed the duvet. With one hard tug he pulled the cover of the Japanese kid “WAKEY WAKEY EGGS AND BACEY!” He sung out loudly and cheerfully. “Genya, the sun is out and the day has just begun!!! Lets go and have some fun!” As if to further his victory over waking the young boy…Daryle summoned up a chill breeze and unleashed it on poor Genya. “Hehehehe! Wooo breakfast time!” The Breezy Owl proclaimed as he done the robot around the bedroom.
((Other - Genya))
Genya was soothingly dreaming about ...."FOR SCIENCE!....." as a healing potion was tested and came out perfect with no side effects whatsoever. But in a moment, his dream turned into a nightmare as a random voice in the dream screamed a slew of nonsense that made no sense scientifically at all ......"WAKEY WAKEY EGGS AND BACEY!".... the healing potion flask suddenly grew legs and a face and started dashing around ruining the lab, cracking everything as Genya cried in the dream and out loud. "NUUUUUUUUUU!" The lab was burning and burning and it didn't held that a certain chill came over the whole place as the lab swirled in flames and wind blew everything, including Genya's precious notes. In the background of the dream, some of Genya's childhood bullies were in the window pointing and laughing at him and yelling something about the sun being up and that this was only the beginning of the ...destruction. "NuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUU!" Genya's teeth were chattering now outside the dream due to the lack of blankets, totally oblivious to Daryle's roboting antics. And then all the bullies turned into eggs and pieces of bacon and freaked Genya out.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The Alchemist Owl bolted upright in his bed back to reality and kept screaming and screaming. The force of him getting up somehow knocked his pillow into Daryle's roboting face. That screaming face soon melted into a crying face. "But butbut...poor notes...poor potion! All that hard work! WAHHHHHHHHHH!" Genya had yet to notice Daryle was in the room....
Kojiro was sleeping heavily, unfortunately, he was not often exposed to medication that aided sleep, let alone anything that kept him awake, any medications affected him rather heavily. Kojiro moaned slightly and then stirred slightly, however it did not take long until he stopped moving, lightly clutching the pillow he slept on. He curled over turning away from Serena as he then wrapped himself tighter under the cover.
"What you do with your health is up to you. It's just up to us to see to it that you don't die from cancer or a loose stream of energy." Soliel replied as calmly as the situation would allow him to. Pass the silvery blonde tresses that covered Raven's stern, almost passive glare, the standing owl could see in her eyes a sliver of remorse and sorrow for her fallen friends. If the vanishing twinkle of anger was simply just his imagination, then he hoped that somewhere in her spirit was the thirst for revenge. He hadn't known Nat or Aaliyah for long at all, but seeing them dead only inches away and knowing who killed them only fueled his already fervent drive for revenge.
"I'm to give an idea. Something you've probably already thought of. This...New Exire as some of us have started to call it, is our home. Unfortunately though, it's just a single state. Humans have no problem with westward expansion right? Manifest Destiny? My idea was that we expand both westward and south." Soliel reasoned, his tone completely hiding his excitement towards the thought. "Take away from them what they love...take away what belongs to us anyway...their land. If you haven't thought about this, Leader, then please, give it consideration. I will now leave you to yourself."
~~~
Che took Sabastian's immediate response as faux flattery and simply responded with a simper. As the butler went on, a weak frown of disappointment pulled at Che's features. He was glad to know that Will, Nik and Anya were safe. That was a bit of good news the lighten the pain of him losing his base...house thing. "Hmph, makes me wonder what they're talking about...oh well. Not my place to interrupt those two. They must be discussing something importantly important..." Looking over to the stairs that were across from the waiting room, Che's smirk became a grin. From the second floor, he could already hear Anya and another voice. A new girl to bother? Might as well if he was going be waiting. When Sebastian left the area, Che made his way up the steps and saw just what he expected to see.
A new girl and Anya. Was this girl trying to be nice to her? A tray? The Mastering Owl had a mind to knock the tray out of her hands, but he refrained. Approaching the woman and the younger lady, he placed a finger over Anya's lips in an attempt to silence her for a moment. Looking down at the shorter girl, Che ventured, "You must be a new face to the UNS...who are you and what can you do?"

As Bailey awaited Anya's response, she felt another presence join the two of them. Her head turned allowing her to catch sight of a rather tall man with dark hair and dark eyes. He seemed to have a permanent cocky expression, but also exumed confidence as well that a lot of people would admire, but others would be disgusted with. Bailey didn't know what to think of him. When he spoke to her, she was surprised, but it couldn't hurt for her to tell him her name and inform him of what she does. "Yeah, I've only been in the UNS for a little over a week. I'm Bailey Summers. My powers are fairly simple." Her long vectors snaked out of her back, long nearly invisible ethereal arms that could reach any length. "It's similar to telekinesis, but I can also cause internal damage to a person by redirecting their bloodflow, changing its direction. I can redirect attacks back towards my attacker, generate shockwaves by vectoring surrounding forces. I can also redirect and reflect incoming attacks and send them in multiple directions in a destructive force." All the while, as she spoke, her vectors struggled against the collar's control, but each time the collar beeped, sending off a small shock that would not hurt Bailey, but would in a way, give her vectors, a slap on the wrist preventing them from escaping Bailey's control.

Demios sighed he had been looking around for Roulin and Cecilia for what seemed like forever. He shot a quick glare to Cerbs who had yet to be of any help in finding the two of them. "You know you're not much of a tracking dog, well I guess we all have our weak points" He said partially meaning it and partially trying to see if it would get the dog to lead him the right way. He knew that Will have probably done the same thing to get what he wanted from the dog. "Besides I'm sure Will keeps you around for the company anyway" He said.

((TFP---Raven))
Raven listened to Soliel in silence, she neither nodded nor gave any hint of what she was thinking. Though, he did hit a point that she had been thinking over that very morning. She had to admit, she liked the way this guy thought. “Hmm.” She placed a hand on one hip and finally smiled, albeit it was a bit of a dark smile. “Very well, Soliel. I will take what you have said into consideration.” she tilted her head to the left a small amount. “I will admit now that expanding further has crossed my mind. A lot actually. I will be very happy about taking away the things that the lesser race loves.” The blonde female took a few steps forwards and came to stand in directly in front of Soliel. “Your style of thinking very good. I can tell that making you a member of the team was a wise choice.” It was a compliment, a rare occurrence in light of Ravens mood.
Glancing once between Lorna and Soliel, Raven walked passed them. “If you will excuse me, I have a few matters to attend too.” Pausing in mid step she glanced over her shoulder. Her eyes lingered on the lifeless forms that were Nathaniel and Aaliyah. “You may want to take this free time to train…I do not wish to bury any more members of my family.” That sentence alone was enough to indicate that she was in her own way…grieving. Soliel’s private assumption was correct…Raven craved revenge for her fallen comrades. She needed it, and the blood lust was intoxicating. “If you need me for anything else. I wont be far away.”
((TFP---Serena))
“Annoying kid” Serena muttered as Kojiro evaded her attempts at waking him up. “Hmph…it will be his own fault if he has to eat cold scrambled egg” She prodded him sharply for one last time before she grabbed a nearby jug of water. “Its time to wake up.” And with that, Serena reverted back to her old tactic. The water splashed and splattered all over the bed and Kojiro’s face as she tilted the jug enough to empty its contents. During the process, Serena even began to hum a soft tune. “I use to love this song..” She thought before placing the jug back down with a satisfied grin. “Are you awake now Kojiro-Kun? Or must I fetch some more liquids?” Serena was not the most patient being. She hated waiting around and growing bored because nothing was happening. Kojiro would learn that in time.
((UNS---Daryle))
Daryle was pretty caught up in his roboting dancing ways, that he was pretty much in his own little world…that was soon disturbed by Genya’s screaming. “Ahhhhh!!!” WHAM! Pillow to the face. “Why is it always a pillow?!” The Breezy Owl dropped the pillow to the floor and held up both hands apologetically. “Eh, Genya…are you awake now?” He noted the tears and felt a bit guilty. “Oh dear…this is just like the time I woke Freya up before her nap was due to be finished…” He stepped closer to Genya and sighed. “Its ok, shhhh” He whispered in a soft voice. “The bad dream is over now. You are safe here.” He reached down and grabbed the duvet and threw it around the Japanese kid. “See? No monsters here…well besides the Breezy monster who woke you up…hehehe…” Daryle ruffled Genya’s hair. “Are you hungry? We are going out to eat breakfast! How do you feel about trying some more American food? I bet there will be some interesting sciencey things that will catch your eye.” Daryle had his moments of maturity, it just so happened that cheering up people was one area he excelled in.

((NPC - Cerberus))
The three headed dog merely snorted and then gave Demios a look as if Cerberus and all three of his heads were smiling way too innocently, though Demios had put a spell on the dog so it looked normal...and cute. The heads went up and down and then paused as Cerb felt the "fur ball" removed from Roulin's hair. He snorted again. If Demios couldn't find his friends, he was a bit of a failure, and Cerb wasn't going to help him. So, the dog headed in the total opposite direction as where Denny's was.
But then.....
Pancakes. For some odd reason, he wanted pancakes now. "Ruff!" The dog snorted again and then stuck its noses up in the air as it were an arrogant aristocratic noble. Oh, wait. It sort of was.... He barked, turned around, retraced its steps, and trotted along briskly, not bothering to wait for Demios to follow. The dog than without warning started running toward Denny's and skidded to a stop before the door. After opening the door somehow and getting in, the dog trotted in, despite stares and any pet warnings, and proceeded to saunter onto Roulin's lap and wiggle between Roulin and the plate of pancakes. With a mischievous bark, the hellspawn dug into Roulin's plate of pancakes. If Roulin still expected to have pancakes from his plate, that happy thought was now down the drain. Cerberus wasn't going to leave any for Roulin, even if the dog preferred live meat and perhaps, wasn't even a fan of pancakes or syrup....or was he?
------
((Other - Genya))
While Freya was a seven year old kid, Genya was an eighteen year old teen, but the older Japanese boy was quite the crybaby. However, Daryle, being good with kids, did succeed in soothing Genya. "Wahh....ahh? Breezy monster?" The Alchemist Owl sniffed a few more times. He didn't have his glasses on, so many things appeared to be a blur, but Daryle appeared to be correct. The boy reached for his glasses on the side table and plopped them on his face. It really was day time here. The boy had no concept of time right now. His body was still somewhat stuck in Japan. Call it jetlag.... or teleport-lag. "Breakfast?" The Owl's eyes brightened at the mention of science. "Science?" He got off the bed and started changing into...female clothes that Annie had provided and to brush his teeth and stuff. Annie had yet to finish washing Genya and Daryle's clothes....they were sort of sitting in the dryer because Annie had passed out in her sleepiness before she could finish, and she was thanked by Daryle waking her up in the morning. Soon after, Genya was ready to hit the road running. "Ok, Daryle san!"

Che's eyes lifted partly wheh Bailey's transparent limbs arose from her back. This Owl had seen many things, half of which sometimes he prayed he could un-see. Bailey's power was unique, but he wasn't as threatened by them as he probably should've been. Keeping his light purple hues in motion with the ethereal, snake like arms that writhed when he collar shimmered, the wild haired man broke a smile. "Sounds like you were blessed with quite the power...although from looking at this thing around your neck, I can see that either you suck at controlling your two extra pairs of arms...or you suck at controlling your extra pair of arms. Which one is it Ms. Summers?" Like all new people to the UNS, Che had to test their patience using himself as the bubble sheet. The arms, as scary as he imagined them to be at full potential, were still under control. The owl would investigate whether it was the necklace or her mind that was keeping these transient killers at bay.
~~~
Soliel's stone expression was cracked when Raven took to his idea with admiration. Along with that, he was satisfied that they were on the same page here. That made things far more easier than he'd hoped. His view travelled back to her when she obstructed his sight of the deceased child and woman. The thirst for revenge was now begging to be quenched and together, they could easily rid themselves of that dry, dry sensation. Sliding his hands into his pockets, he lowered his gaze, then closed his eyes in quick thought. "Sounds like we have ourselves a plan then Raven. As the days pass, more land will be taken from these bigots...these liars and cheats. In no time, it'll be ours. We won't have to worry about the loss of another family member anymore." Soliel simply returned Raven's last assuring statement with a nod. He wouldn't be far either, but he doubted that she'd come to him for anything. He admired her strength and her ability to withstand perfect solitude. The girl was strong willed, but with people around to help her, Soliel could see that she was even stronger.
Now proceeding off in a westward direction, Soliel called out to Lorna. "Alright my dear, things are finished up here. Now to find a television. I need to know what's going on around us now."
Roulin finally had a nice cup of coffee and quite a few pancakes left for himself. They were now at the perfect temperature though. Not too hot and not too cold, but at the temperature where with the right amount of syrup and butter, they'd just melt in your mouth. The people in the restaurant had finally calmed down when Roulin had put on a show just for them. The kid who sat against the opposite wall behind him was managing to have fun with a sandstorm in a cup. "Alright, I think now I can have a decent breakfast with you. The only thing I'm missing is a newspaper though..."
Just as the moment seemed to be as perfectly normal, Cerbs occured. The dog, like any normal human, got through the door with perfect ease. Only from the gasps of the people in the restaurant did Roulin know that something was up. He caught a glimpse of the beast, but only seconds before it was a single head deep into his breakfast. A few of the kids laughed and some of the adults retrieved bibles. Roulin, with a flat expression just rested his head on the dog's back. "Where in the hell did you come from Cerbs...please, wherever it was, just go back...."
While Cecilia did enjoy the little show, she was relieved when the two of them were finally left in peace. Yet, before she could continue eating her pancakes, the peace was short lived as Cerberus bounded up to them. Thanks to the "cloak", he was disguised as a normal looking single headed dog. The blue cosmic owl bit her lip to keep from laughing as Cerberus devoured Roulin's entire plate of pancakes. It seemed the poor purple eyed Life Owl could not catch a break, whether it was rest, or enjoying a nice meal of pancakes. Cecilia's pancakes were halfway eaten, but knowing that Roulin was definitely hungry, she pushed her plate towards him. "Here, take mine," she said with a smile. "I can't really eat anymore." Even if she hadn't been full, she still would have given up her pancakes in order to make sure that he got something in his stomach. Lorna couldn't hide her expression of surprise as Raven complimented Soliel. In her short time knowing Raven, she knew that their leader did not give away compliments so easily. Lorna, herself, had yet to receive a compliment no matter what she had done to help in the past. Her silver eyes glistened with excitement as she listened to Soliel speak of his plans. Yes, soon this world would belong to them, as it should. She watched as Raven left them before she spoke to Soliel. "Well, that's something. Compliments from Raven are like rare gemstones. They are not easily given. She must really admire you." A small part of Lorna was worried that Soliel might like Raven, but she pushed that thought aside to the back of her mind as she attempted not to allow herself to become jealous. After all, she had a feeling that if Soliel did like Raven in that way, he would be with her instead of Lorna. That gave the Polaris Owl some relief. "Right then, you know there's a television back in the hotel room. I haven't really seen any others," she said casually as she picked off a piece of lint from her top. Bailey's left eyebrow lifted into an arch as Che taunted her. The young Diclonius Owl folded her two physical arms across her chest and shifted her weight to one foot as she spoke in a cold tone of voice. "Which do you think it is? You've probably already noticed this damn collar around my neck. The necklace is just a mere aid." With the collar, she could control her abilities better than she could without the collar. The collar only activated itself when the vectors went too far out of her control. Yet, removing it would be a risk to everyone around her and she didn't want to take that chance. All the while, she waited to see if Anya would accept the tray of food.
Demios had a bit of a hard time keeping up with Cerbs, but once he saw him charge into a Denny's Demios knew he had led him to Roulin and Cecilia, now the question of it was because he wanted to help or not remained unanswered. When he finally got into the place he looked around and found the dog as well as his friends "Uhh sorry about that I asked him to help me find you....I guess he was just hungry" He said. He looked at the two of them "Sorry I slept in I didn't sleep well" He said as he took a seat at their table. "Hope I'm not interrupting something" He said.
((NPC - Cerberus))
The pancakes on Roulin's plate were duly demolished by Will's pet, and the dog wagged its tail and smacked the side of Roulin's face with it. Cerberus shifted its weight and then looked back at Roulin, licking the Life Owl's face with a nice syrupy tongue, as if answering Roulin's question with a "I don't feel like it" attitude. Cerb ignored the reactions around the restaurant to a dog eating pancakes. He didn't care. He'd even eat chocolate...yes, Cerberus could eat chocolate and get away with it without dying. The dog turned back and looked at Demios who had seated himself and then stuck one of its tongues out as if Cerb was making fun of Demios. Demios earned a nice syrupy lick from one of Cerb's heads as well. That left the last syrupy tongue for the blueberry girl.
With an all too innocent grin, Cerberus arched his third head forward and licked Cecilia's face. It would appear to the bystanders and spectators that Cerberus only had one head and had just licked three people in a row. He eyed the pancakes Cecilia had pushed over to Roulin and then panted, grinning with all three heads. Finally, after a moment, he hopped off Roulin's lap and sat perfectly on the seat next to Roulin. He looked at Demi and nodded toward the pancakes, as if implying Demios to order something too. With that "said", Cerberus once again commandeered Roulin's lap with his heads, but at least Roulin could eat Cecilia's pancakes.
