Ai laughs shaking his head, while Bez simply smirks. The girls however are seriously confused. They have never seen their parents this playful and have no idea what is going on.

Ai shrugs. "It has it's ups and downs. Right now things are good. Had you ask him about that back when Kero here was younger, ye would have gotten a different answer."

Ai sighs and shakes his head. "I was hoping by now you'd understand my motives."
Bez frowns slightly and nods. "Oh, I understand... believe me, I do... but Kero asked for it more often than not. Misbehavior is one thing... but purposefully doing things just to make your parent mad is something else and he did that far more than he should have."

Ai touches his arm and sighs. "With Kero it did. the lion in him was strong... and for all that he was seperated from his past lives, they still influenced him in many ways. Have you never noticed how he rarely listens to those who do not come across as strong. And unfortuantely Tam's strength, wasn't always a physical thing. And he had problems at the time that often made him appear to be weak."

*Kero seems to be trying to hopld something within himself, clutching his belly and curling into the fetal position. When next he looks up, his eyes are mad*
He heh heh he...come closer, my little morsel...yes...properly seasoned....not a full meal...but a side dish to a full world...o yes...you will do quite nicely....*Opens his mouth impossibly wide, revealing huge fangs within that gaping maw*

Bez grabs the girls and flees, but Ai refuses to budge. Instead he simply slaps Kero hard on the face. "Snap out of it, Taro. You're bigger than that... much bigger. Don't let it control you." Then he takes him in his arms and holds on tight, hugging the mage with all his might. "I'm here, dulcha... like I promised. I'm not going to let you hurt anyone.. remember?" he whispers in a soft loving voice.
