Eulegy
We met on a hazy summer day. It wasn't quite love at first sight. You grew on me as all trucks do; carried me when I needed you to. Now I've had to send you away. The repair costs made us parts ways.
I do so hope to see you soon. Your replacement is nothing but a boon.
RIP--Jeep Wrangler August 2000- March 2014. You were loved.

S0U to add on to what that post said about making mistakes and improving, here's what my art looked like a couple of years ago ^^; and your way better then I was then I think, but I stuck with it and practiced anatomy a lot more and like to think I got/ am getting better. Also, I have a friend who went from drawing abstract squiggles to doing portraits of bob marley on clothing~ (I was like whaaa) So I am blown away by how much people can improve, and the one great thing I noticed is that no matter where the person is skill lvl wise, they can morph like butterflies with their respective arts. Like in this thread alone, with just 60 days I'm like blown away by how much better people get. So you may not notice it or even know it, but your art is inspiring to someone and will continue to do so if you continue to draw. Also cupcake's right, only look at stuff that inspires you, and not get into a comparing state of mind. My own motto has been if I have time to mope about my art, I have time to draw more. I go- ahh I'm feeling bad cuz I have too much time on my hands, I better get drawing~lol and it seems to work. edit: like holy that day 69 is awesome xelyn! Thanks, I know you are right, it's just hard to see it for yourself sometimes. I try to keep the inspired mindset instead of the comparing mindset. sweatdrop Thanks, I was kinda cheating though since I was referencing a photo.

Xelyn_X13 Thanks, I was kinda cheating though since I was referencing a photo. I just wanna echo what S0U said: photo referencing is not cheating! Especially for the 100 days, as a lot of the drawings we're gonna do here are not meant to be beautiful finished works of art, they are mostly studies. It's better to be doing studies from photos than from memory. It's how you learn. I've been assigned "master copies" in art classes, which is where you go one step further and actually copy someone else's work. As long as you are not claiming the work as your own or making profit off of it (and even with profit, there are exceptions), copies are a good thing.
