Because Daddy's mouth was on fire, Salunia....sugar helps to put out the fire after one eats spicy food
**True, by the way...sugar, milk, bread, and cold things all help....which means Ice cream and a slice of bread is the way to go**

Bez chuckles softly, "But I think it's been proven that milk works better than most stuff... and don't let anyone tell ye, kitten, that ale and the like will help because all it does is spread it in the mouth."
Tam smiles and carries in Kero's bowl and Bez's. "Let's all eat by the fire tonight... picnic style."

Bez curls up in Tam's chair and lows on his stew. "Finally, I get to eat Kero's food without waiting for scraps."
Tam walks in and frowns. "What does that mean?" he demands, plopping down on the floor at his feet and looking up at him.

Indeed, what does that mean...surely you know I'll feed anyone...that's kind of the point of being a cook...
**My grandma does this....ye come to her door at mealtime...even if you're a solicitor...or a girl-scout going door to door....you're liable to find yourself at the table refusing a third slice of ham or a second bowl of stew**

Bez fishes out a tiny bit of fish and holds it down to Puss who nibbles at it, then to everyone surprise, downs it eagerly. "Poor thing, i's appetite may never resemble a cat's again. I've jaded him, I fear."

Tam looks up and the hand slides down to his cheek in a caress. "No wonder he underwent a bit of personality change.... some weeks ago.... why did you leave?"
Bez shrugs. "I didn't fell as if I was very welcomed anymore... ye didn't seem to need me."

Bez...Sira has always needed you....even when I was but a cub, he felt incomplete...and not in the normal way...he's never been all there...there's definitely a few lights turned off upstairs...but now that you're here, he feels fuller...more alive...
