"Well, you definitely won't be able to pull it off in the state you're in," Alex stated, smiling just a little. He started leading the girl out of the forest. "Where to, anyway? You're house is a mess, I remember that."

She sighed, biting her lip against the throbbing pain, "Yeah, we need to get it cleaned up. He's at Shadow's."To turn the lifeless whine of grief;

Alex just kept walking, thinking a little; he still didn't know where to go, really. Regardless, he just shrugged. "I wish you luck on that. And seeing how I haven't a clue where to go, you're going to have to tell me."

"You know, it'd really help if you told me what we're doing," Alex said, blinking as he was forced to follow after Yuri.
"You forgot? Sheesh. You silly, silly boy," Yuri sighed, leading the way deeper and deeper into the forest until finally, she entered an empty area where the trees just suddenly vanished, a large, circular and open area just in the center of the forest.
"Forgot. . .?"
"You'll remember." Yuri shook her head as she let go of Alex, shoving him towards the center. "You stay there, alright?" She looked up at the darkening sky. It was almost completely dark. She bit her lip and transformed, calling Ai to her as well as she knelt down on the ground, placing both hands on it and forming an invisible barrier around Alex.
"Remind me again why we're here?" Alex asked, sighing and tapping against the barrier.
"Cooperate and I'll give you a treat after this," Yuri smiled as she waited.

Alex more or less just knelt there where he was, trying to remember what he'd forgotten. It was definitely something important, otherwise it wouldn't bug him so much. He drew a circle in the grass with his finger, a small outburst of air cutting the grass within it. He looked up at the sky again; it was completely dark and the moon was nowhere to be found. Why did that make him feel uneasy?
Then, he remembered. And just as Alex remembered, pain erupted in his body. He cursed out loud as he clenched his hands into fists and squeezed his eyes against the pain.
Yuri blinked before turning her head away from Alex, unable to watch. Even Ai had covered her eyes, though a second later she had disappeared and appeared in front of Alex, cautiously walking up to him.
Alex struggled a little bit until eventually, pure, white, feathery wings formed on his back. About six feet wide each, they flexed and Alex doubled-over in pain, gritting his teeth and shutting his eyes as he tried to force them away again. "s**t. . .what the hell's with these damn things?!" he yelled out.

Shin and cody sat back hidden in the trees, shins eyes wide staring shocked at his friend as they both huddled there looking on in awe. That sense of aww dulled a little by the pain alex seemed to be in. It made sense now though, why yuri had dragged the boy off so quickly, wondering how alex could have forgot about something like this.
Quietly the two sat there watching, not speaking or moving, just watching things happen. Shin feeling a little pained for his friend, this sort of thing shouldnt have been hurting the boy, but maybe it was diferent for lex than for him, the two having diferent sets of powers.

Alex attempted to fold the wings, which he managed to do so but a small yell of pain escaped him. He couldn't keep himself up, falling forward onto his front, clutching his sides and drenched, both in water and in sweat.
Yuri couldn't take it anymore. She dropped the barrier and ran straight to Alex's side, kneeling down next to him and putting a hand carefully on his shoulder. "This must be awful," she said sadly, smiling softly as she looked back at the wings, careful not to touch them. "There's bound to be a way to stop this from happening."
Alex reached out in front of him with one hand, as though there was something there he could grab. The wings flexed again and he withdrew his hand, opening his eyes just a little and gritting his teeth against the pain. "Stop it," he whispered quietly, attempting to at least push himself up, though he couldn't against the pain.
Yuri bit her lip, looking back at the wings, stroking Alex's hair, the boy relaxing under her touch just a little. Ai looked restless, glancing from left to right as though trying to find something to help.
Alex shook lightly as the wings folded themselves. Once more, he tried to force himself up, managing to get up on all fours a little shakily. He took a deep breath and forced the wings to fold, keeping them there until they finally disappeared. Alex let out a small, shaky sigh of relief, laughing a little bit, though it was forced. A small noise of pain escaped him, clenching his hands into fists in the dirt as he winced, stabs of pain occasionally running through his body, very mild compared to before. Exhaustion washed over him and his body relaxed, lying on his front and falling asleep.
Yuri smiled a little happily, wiping away the tears that had formed in her eyes before turning Alex onto his back so he was a little more comfortable. She picked Ai up, putting the little sprite on her shoulders as the girl stood up, holding her hands out in front of her and creating a small ball of her blue flames, letting it float upwards before it dispersed, making it look like it was raining petals. Then she turned to her Shin and Cody where hiding and smiled, ushering for the two to come out.

Shin got up, not that surprised that the girl had known they were there, walking out with cody at his side, the dog looking a bit nervous as the two approached yuri and the unconscious alex.
Shin gave her a small half hearted smile looking down at his friend "So...I think I can safely say..that that was the hardest thing ive ever had to in my whole life.." he said glancing at alex before looking back to yuri "So how long has this been going on anyways, those things...I wont call them wings they dont deserve that name. They shouldnt be causing lex so much pain..I dont even see why he has them" shin said, though the wings had been beautiful he didnt like them, what was the point of something that put a person in so much pain.
Cody padded over to alex snuffing at the boys hair before simply curling up around him "Bad end to a good day.." he said simply giving yuri a smile, wondering a little about the book as well as alexs wing affliction.

Yuri picked up her book, holding it in her arms. "I don't know how long it's been going on exactly. Because it was already happening when Alex told me," she said. Her right hand was shaking, and she put her left over it to control it. "I don't know why they cause so much pain. Sometimes they've been helpful. But always they crippled him with pain." She took a deep breath to keep herself from crying. "There's probably a reason behind them. But for now, I don't know what it is. I'm determined to find out, though," she added, a smile appearing on her face.

Shin simply nodded, a bit surprised by her smile, she was rather tough. "So im taking it that lex doesnt know what there for either..." he said sighing a little bit "Heh, the guy never ever gets a break does he yuri, even when stuff is going good something like this has to happen to him" he said glancing up to the sky, glaring a little at the moonlessness, "I guess im glad we followed...realy wish we hadnt seen that though. Whatever the purpouse of those things are it must be a realy good one to put lex through so much pain for nothing"

"Somehow. . .I'm not really sure I want to know what they're for," Yuri said. She gripped the book a little tighter, sighed, then looked down at Alex. "You know. . .I've never seen him that happy before. It makes me feel guilty for taking him away."
