After everyone was asleep, Bloodfang sneaked outside. He checked on Singeclaw's grave, and noticed something strange. "Where's Singeclaw?"
"Bloodfang! You thought you killed me! But you didn't!" Bloodfang turned around, startled, and saw Singeclaw standing over him with his sword raised. "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!"

" What the?" Then Barrack took his sling that was next to him. " Glad I stood right here!" Then he hurled a stone at Singeclaw.

The stone hit painfully on Singeclaw's skull, dropping him into the open grave. But the damage had already been done. Bloodfang lay on the floor, severly injured.

Bloodfang was carried off, and Singeclaw climbed out. "What a pain..."
He stared up, and the he saw Barrack's vengeful face.

Bringing his dagger in chopping position, Barrack said," You have caused much death for my crew. You have tried to break a peace, tried to take Redwall, and tried to kill Summer. Now, I will bring death to you! Eulalia!!" Then he brought down the dirk at his neck.

Singeclaw felt the dagger press into his skull. "Ahhhhhhhhhh! So painful!" This was hopefully the last thing this rat said.

Singeclaw finally lay dead, never to torment again.
Back inside the mountain, Bloodfang started to say something. "What happened? What am I doing here?"
