Chrono Crusade sounds familiar. Maybe I read one? o.O
If you want something really long, you could always just watch FullMetal Alchemist. It has like, ummm... I was gunna say 50 episodes, but I don't think it is that long. 46 maybe? At any rate, it's long, and very very depressing, though it has it's funny moments.
